A few quick questions in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Are you saying it’s actually impossible for you to open the KZB?
What specific error message are you getting?
Nickname change (read first post!) in Forum Help! ·
If you proceed with the change, those symbols are going to get stripped away because keeping them isn't permitted under our guidelines. There is a distinct difference between when you choose your own handle and when the site administrators step in to modify it—even if you were the one who requested the update in the first place. In the latter case, the rules operate quite differently.

Not happening; one of the mods needs to step up and handle this. Let me know if you think that's fair enough.

Let's please keep this discussion on topic.
Appeal for a fine: Looking for some clarification in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, I’ve said it before: there is absolutely zero tolerance for this kind of behavior on this entire forum. That is precisely why this specific sub-forum exists in the first place.
If you address the moderation team by claiming "I don't doubt our moderators view all of this as the new normal," then you are explicitly commenting on the moderation itself; there is simply no other way to interpret that statement.

Stop directing comments toward the moderators in posts outside of this section, and we won't have an issue.
When is the New Server going down? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Honestly, we could just lock this entire site down—set it to read-only so the archives stay up, but nobody can post anything new—and then just migrate all the major subreddits and their most vital threads over to a brand-new platform.
It would be a massive undertaking, I'm sure, but I suspect the moderation team would jump at the chance if someone actually had the guts to pull the trigger. We just need someone to take the first step, and we all know exactly who that needs to be.

Calling out the mods or debating their decisions is only allowed within this specific subforum; if you try that elsewhere, expect anything from a slap on the wrist to a full ban.

Over on the Politics board—assuming we're talking about that specific PDF, though I think there are similar threads about the coronavirus elsewhere too—there is absolutely zero tolerance for that kind of behavior.

I’m saying this so the politics mods don't have to waste their breath; they already have more than enough on their plates.

Too fast? 🙂

Exactly. This is for those who failed to secure their portion back there—the kind of thing you actually have to sweat and grind for if you want results.
Get ahold of Nico and ask him about dropping that partial payment.

That’s precisely why you can't access that section. I honestly don't see what possible excuse you could have for spamming other subforums that aren't even meant for moderation appeals.

just to keep this forum on life support.

It seems certain subforums haven't even bothered to enable image support.

Oh man, I completely blanked on replying to you, even though I saw the post. 🤦
Searching this topic isn't working for me either; I figured that out a while ago. I'll file a report, though I honestly doubt anything is actually going to change.

I personally just handled it by subscribing only to the specific subforums and threads that actually interest me. Whether I'm on my desktop or using the mobile app, I stick strictly to those subscriptions and rarely bother looking anywhere else.
You don't even need some fancy script to make that happen. Just click "Options" in the top left corner and you'll see exactly what you've chosen to follow. I ended up saving that specific user control page as a favorite so my browser just launches straight into my custom feed every time I open it.

Oh, please. If this thread didn't exist, I never would have wandered over to that other discussion, where within just a few posts I was already wading through a mountain of absolute nonsense scraped straight from some ultra-right, anti-vax, white supremacist American site. I know it’s a lost cause trying to reason with them, but I did find a small shred of satisfaction in pointing out their glaringly obvious idiocies 🥳

They’re constantly throwing these "rules" in my face, even though I haven't seen a single one of them in over a year.
It feels like they just make them up on the fly whenever they feel like it.
I mean, you can basically ask if they feel any shame about letting people bring up someone's parents, and then suddenly you get hit with a partial ban for it.
Or how they let banned users post from someone else's account—you know, using clones.
Rules, rules, rules... 🙂

look at this, Samuel Turner2

Just imagine: one of those elusive rules you could never find is suddenly right there in front of you:
Do not interfere with other Forum members in a thread unless your complaint is strictly related to their specific issue. It is better to start a new thread to outline your own problem so that every complaint remains transparent.

And since this thread relates to a PDF link that I highly doubt you're even visiting, it looks like you're breaking the rules right here too.

_filo, I’ve gone ahead and started a brand new thread based on your specific inquiry, as I honestly believe the rest of the community will find it just as useful as we did.

I'm trying to track down some health-related stuff I posted maybe two years ago, but I can't remember the exact keywords to plug into the search bar.

Try this

image

Basically, you go up to the forum toolbar, select the search tool, and then pick advanced search.
From there, follow what you see in the screenshot:
In the top right under "search by user name," type in your handle and select it when the dropdown appears.

Under search options:
Select "Find posts from: A year ago - And older"
Set "Show results as" to Posts.

On the right side, look for the Health section.
Hit search now and it should dig up those old health posts for you.
