That works. You can just block him so his posts don't show up on your feed. But if he hasn't put you on his ignore list yet, he’s still going to see everything you post.
*Just a heads-up: if someone else decides to quote a user that you have blocked, you'll still see that quoted content.
And who's to say? Maybe the server glitched, or perhaps some threads were being moved and you just happened to look right when they were stuck in limbo... anything's possible.

You can save your desired messages in XML, CSV, or TXT formats. Feel free to test out all three and see which one works best for you. Folders are... well, they're just folders. You create a new folder and stash the messages you want inside. For example, if you have important private messages, you could just set up an "Important" folder.

There’s no such thing as a special moderator tag next to a username—at least not as far as I’m aware. You can tell who a moderator is because their name shows up in black, whereas regular users have blue names. Of course you'll see moderators posting all over the place; they're still members of this community, after all. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter who is contributing to a thread, it's the content itself that counts. If a moderator needs to make an official note, those will be clearly distinguished by a different color.
