I’ll head to the doctor—if the tablets and creams don't do the trick. I'm going to try this route first; I simply don't have the energy to go chasing after endless search results.

I’ve been dealing with the exact same thing over the last few days. It’s my thumb—specifically that fleshy part right at the base, deep inside.
The difference is, mine isn't because of my shoes. I can’t even move it without intense pain. For two days, it was swollen and bruised; the swelling has gone down now, but the pain is still brutal.
People have already tried to scare me with everything from gout to sciatica—since I deal with back issues—but honestly, I feel a bit ridiculous going to a doctor just to say my thumb hurts.
But seriously, it hurts.

Kimberly Nguyen said:Look, just head down to your local JP Morgan Chase branch, grab your checkbook, and get ready to sign some paperwork. If you’ve been playing by the rules and 😍 if there's enough wiggle room in your account, they might actually let you bump up your overdraft
limit.

Thanks.

Does anyone know if you can actually get an increase on your overdraft just by asking nicely?
I lost my wallet—all my cash went with it—and rather than going around begging friends for loans, I figured it would be easier to just lean on my bank. Is that even a thing you can do?

Right now, they're literally welding manhole covers right in front of my office.
And they promised there wouldn't be any major delays.
Yeah, right.
As if they'll actually tell us which streets are getting shut down.

First off, she isn't high-strung—she actually greets you with a smile. Honestly, before her, I saw a doctor who was—God help us—absolutely terrible. I had gallstones when I was 25; the pain was hell, but she wouldn't even believe me because I was supposedly "too young" for something like that. This doctor is the exact opposite. Also, she isn't like most of them—you walk in, they tell you what you have, then immediately say "next" like they're working an assembly line. She actually asks how you're doing. I don't know what else you want to know. She's a warm person and she helps. She’ll write you referrals, sick notes, give advice... just ask specifically what you need to know.
HELP!!! Urgent! in Health ·
I think she’s got enough on her plate without people lecturing her. She asked the question because she’s already made up her mind—it wasn't an invitation for a debate on whether she should toss it or not.

Does anyone have any solid recommendations for doctors in Chicago?
Ideally somewhere downtown or maybe on the West Side.
