Everyone’s suddenly an expert on nutrition. I bet you’re feeling gross because people act like you need "real" proteins for the baby, and then they tell me I haven't gained weight and should probably just snack on more cookies and chocolate.
Then there’s everyone constantly poking at my belly.
And don't even get me started on free time. Like, maybe I should just sell my bike now that the little one is coming—why did I even bother buying it? Or maybe find a way easier job. Or, my absolute favorite idea, just chop all my hair off short since I won't have any time to wash it anyway. Plus, there's all this judging from my aunt's housekeeper about whether I actually consider myself a homemaker or what.
People also give me such looks whenever I mention using cloth diapers, babywearing, or breastfeeding.
Apparently, I'm not supposed to buy anything for the baby until they actually arrive, and even then, we shouldn't because we'll "definitely" get everything as gifts.
And then there's the classic, "Wait, you're still working?!" nonsense.

Everything is just getting on my nerves 🙂

Oh, I know that place, it’s fantastic. 😍🤣

As for me, I'm actually letting mine grow out. It's actually the exact opposite—I've had short hair for two years now, and if it isn't styled perfectly, it takes way more effort than just washing long hair and throwing it in a ponytail.

And forget about wearing makeup—that's pretty much off the table.

Nothing specifically bugs me, though. I can't tie my own sneakers, I can't drink alcohol, I can't squat, I spend half the night in the bathroom, and I constantly have to ask for help, but honestly, it's fine.

What really gets under my skin are the comments about my sleep habits from people who actually know me— "Oh, Bradley Walker8, you love to sleep! Every time we call you, you're napping. Say goodbye to sleeping!" ....😠

Fine, yeah, I won't sleep. So what? I finally caught up on my rest.
It's not my fault my internal clock wakes me up early when it doesn't have to, while mine is currently functioning like it's back in my teenage years.
There are no obligations here—it's "sleep until noon" mode. Period.
I'll manage, just like everyone else does.

Regarding surprises, the whole pregnancy surprised me, and it continues to surprise me every single day. There is a literal baby growing inside me right now, moving and doing its thing! 🙏 🙂

Beyond that, the heightened sense of smell caught me off guard. Usually, my sense of smell is fine, but now it's insane. Then there's the general Zen vibes, the increased libido, the larger chest, and, uh, the constant gas. 😳

P.S. I was expecting that glorious, magical, beautiful pregnancy glow, but it hasn't happened. 🙂

Molina...😬

It's such a wild, fun ride 😍. I've seen it at least three times now... honestly, I could probably watch it again tomorrow. It captures that golden age of adult films perfectly—the characters, the costumes, the soundtrack—every single scene just hits right. I can't even decide who gave the better performance; there was clearly some incredible chemistry on set. Like I said, it’s a genius piece of filmmaking.

Ever since then, I've been a regular viewer of anything directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, specifically looking out for his work with John C. Reilly and Paul with Hoffman. 🤣

Btw, speaking of fun and John C. Reilly, have you seen Cedar Rapids?
I dealt with this stuff all the time when I was a kid, but once I hit adulthood, it completely vanished.

There was no internet back then, obviously... and I never told my mom about it either. I can't even be sure if I thought to tell her; I just assumed it was my own private struggle and left it at that.

I’d just lie there with my eyes wide open, doing nothing while tears streamed down my face from pure frustration and helplessness.

It’s pretty unsettling, honestly—that moment when you finally manage to twitch a hand, then a leg, and then...👋

E. 🙂 😢

I don't see the point here. Most people have had their signatures set up for ages, and mods have the tools to handle this... what, exactly?
Are we supposed to beg some famous moderator for help?
It’s ridiculous. I’m not about to start spamming someone’s private inbox over stuff like this. I mean, I could, but it’s just not my style.

Just give us back our color options and custom fonts so we can actually express ourselves!😳

Bastard!😠😬

Thanks for the reply; that's pretty much what I figured.

edit: So... since you all are being so incredibly helpful here, how do I go back and add a location to my profile? I've looked through the settings and can't find anything. Is that even a thing you can do?

So? What gives? 🤷

I was just trying to mess around with my signature—playing with fonts and sizes, nothing major... but it won't let me. Since when did that change? Why? 😢
Look, you have to be careful 😁, because black dyes are almost always packed with PPD.

If you're looking for natural options here in the States, you can find Clairol at most health food stores, which runs about $22$, and then there's Seventh Generation options that go for around $25$. You can also hit up specialty organic shops for brands like Herbal Essences or Logitech; those tend to be a bit pricier and still contain some synthetic elements, but they're generally safer for people dealing with skin sensitivities. Do yourself a favor and Google them instead of just grabbing whatever Estée Lauder, Pallet, or similar drugstore brands you see on the shelf.
Samuel Foster, most allergic reactions are triggered by paraphenylenediamine, or PPD for short.
You'll usually find the highest concentrations in dark hair dyes. Here are two links for you—read up on them. The first covers the various names this chemical goes by, and the second explains allergies and how you can use henna as a natural alternative for coloring your hair.🙂

If you aren't interested in henna, you can actually dye your hair brown using walnut shells. You can also use chamomile, turmeric, or rhubarb to lighten it slightly. There are plenty of ways to get beautiful hair without touching a single chemical.

Breast lumps and pain: What should I know? in Women's Health ·
That’s nothing! 🙂

I found my first little lump when I was 18—it turned out to be a fibroadenoma, so I went in to have it removed. Both my mom and grandma dealt with breast changes too, but they had kids and nursed without any issues at all. When I was younger, my breasts used to hurt like crazy, and my mom went through the same thing; she used to rub on some basic topical ointment to help with the discomfort. These days, the pain has almost completely vanished. I still have two tiny fibroadenomas in both breasts, but they haven't grown at all, and I go for regular ultrasounds to make sure everything stays fine.

A friend of mine mentioned that using St. John's Wort oil is helpful, and she uses it regularly. Look, just relax—this isn't some huge deal. But you absolutely have to make sure that when you go for your annual checkup with your gynecologist, you ask for an ultrasound referral. Get it done once a year and keep all those scans organized in a dedicated folder for your "girls."
Is marijuana actually a drug? in Health ·
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSH6o...eature=related ☕

I’m not even sure if we’re talking about drugs here. What actually qualifies as one? Technically, anything that creates an addiction. But are we discussing recreational abuse or legitimate medical use? Because you can misuse marijuana just as easily as you can use it as a soothing balm for physical pain. Everything is a drug. Honestly, if you eat too many carrots, you’ll turn yellow—even if it gives you eagle-eyed vision in the process.
Free hugs in Miscellaneous ·
Honestly, I hadn't given it much thought, but then one day I was rushing through San Francisco, dodging crowds, when I ran right into this group of college kids. They were just so genuinely happy and open; I ended up throwing myself into a hug with this guy who had his arms wide open. There wasn't a hint of awkwardness—we just gave each other a few pats on the back, and I walked away feeling genuinely uplifted...😁 Basically, when you skip the weirdness, a good hug does wonders (especially when it's from those tall, curly-haired college students)
Breast lumps and pain: What should I know? in Women's Health ·
The first time this happened, I was 18. I found a lump, turned out to be a fibroadenoma, and they just went ahead and removed it. Since I’m still in school, I take full responsibility for monitoring my own health. Honestly, nobody else seems particularly concerned about checking in on me, so I just handle it myself. Once a year, I get a referral from my gynecologist for an ultrasound, he writes it up without any hassle, and I stay on top of things.
Now I’m 29, and I’ve spotted two more small ones. They aren't palpable enough to worry about yet, so I'm just keeping an eye on them. Currently, I see dr. Uhač at my primary care clinic, and for ultrasounds, there’s this great specialist—I can’t recall her name off the top of my head. Personally, I don't think it's ever too early to start being proactive and staying vigilant.
