The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·

I mean, they just got a handful of those from the suppliers recently, so unless there's some high-level oversight happening on the ground, it's not like they can just grab a drone and start blasting whenever they feel like it
You see footage like this all the time from video games or back during the 2014 conflicts, where both sides are basically running massive propaganda machines to make themselves look better

rowdyraven112 said:Look, Josip Broz was a dictator. Period. What are you even talking about? ☕

Truth is, people haven't realized it yet, but we're living under a dictatorship too. Laws aren't passed through actual consensus in Congress; they're pushed through by a bunch of yes-men raising their hands without even reading the damn bills. Let's call it what it is: a democratic dictatorship.

BUT, if the whole Congress gets dissolved, you actually HAVE THE RIGHT to vote for whatever option you want (unless you're one of those career politicians who can only ever vote for their own party, in which case you've got no real choice)
So you really can't go putting "democracy" and "dictatorship" in the same sentence like that.😉

They’re basically aiming at those "American Jews" who run things here to help them out just like Israel gets helped,
BUT Israel actually serves a purpose for Americans, whereas Ukraine doesn't really have one other than the CIA being over there running some old-school divide and conquer tactics.

gentleharbor3 said:Sure, but Macron's idea regarding European strategic autonomy
only works on paper.
In reality, there are deep divides between Eastern and Western Europe
and massive, almost irreconcilable differences that have caused the EU to fail
to provide a unified or effective response to a single crisis so far.
So, despite the fact that America has acted arrogant
toward Europe—from Syria and Afghanistan all the way to the recent AUKUS deal
— this specific war in Ukraine will give NATO
a new raison d'être and further blind Europe to its dependence on the USA.

It's fine, they've totally screwed us over and we're feeling it deep down.😉

J.bote, this is getting seriously ugly, man, because if I were in Putin's shoes, I would've already ordered a full retreat since things aren't just playing around anymore

Europe would just turn to ash, and the USA would be toast too—we're talking 85 million dead. But nope, according to this, it's just some soldiers. Ridiculous.

If that simulation were run today, the death toll would be 100 times higher, we're talking billions dead in the first week alone, mostly because China, India, Paristan, and all those other places would probably go ahead and settle their own beefs using the exact same methods.

John Ross7 said:Hold on a second, is someone actually calling for NATO to jump straight into this war? 😲
If that happens, we can all just head straight for the bunkers, because we're talking about a WW3 of absolutely terrifying proportions.

Nah, man, that’s not even the end of it—it's basically the end of civilization as we know it. That first volley of ICBMs is going to level every major city out West along with all the military bases, and as the strikes keep coming, they'll hit the smaller towns too. I mean, maybe we're small enough that we'll dodge it, but I wouldn't count on it.

Honestly, this movie was absolute garbage.
Resident Evil (2021) in Movies ·
I honestly think this hits the spot
They pulled in a ton of footage from the original game, which is great, but if they’d just stuck to the actual chronological order, the whole series would have looked way better than what we ended up getting
Like, since characters like e.g. Alice don't even exist in the games, they could've easily swapped Mila out for Jill Valentine without anyone blinking an eye
To me, the lore is so massive that they really didn't need to scramble the timeline like they've done with the movies so far

"You're bored because you're boring"

No hard feelings but man, that comment of yours really took me straight back to that scene.

Nah, it's not even about freedom of speech here.😉
I mean, if I start nodding off while watching a show in the middle of the day, then we've got a real problem.😁
Northern Exposure (1990-1995) in TV Series ·
Honestly, I thought it was a total snooze fest back then, and it’s still not doing much for me now😁
I mean, looking at the big picture, a few of the actors really made the most of it, and for some of them, it was probably the absolute peak of their careers

If you've only got one person getting sick every 3.1 miles then honestly, it’s no wonder the virus isn't spreading much at all.

Personally, I’ve been dealing with that exact same vibe for the last 20g😁

Has anyone actually sat down and watched this thing yet?? I honestly wouldn't even know how to categorize it or what to call it. I was basically glued to my screen for fifty minutes straight... just totally hypnotized. I had no idea how much time had passed and it actually kind of shocked me when the credits finally started rolling. You seriously need to check this out regardless of whether you're into sci-fi or graphic novels or whatever. I was absolutely floored.

I think there might be a three-episode series version too... or maybe it's just a movie split into three parts.

Man, that film really does have that effect😁
The whole vibe gets even more intense once that synthwave music kicks in

The first two movies actually looked kind of decent, but things just went downhill from there and kept getting worse and worse.
The Green Knight (2021) in Movies ·
Honestly, this was one of the absolute worst movies I've sat through all year, because I honestly have no clue what was even happening
Looking at a trailer of a fantasy film like this, it just seems like this heavy, incomprehensible slog of a bore
Resident Evil (2021) in Movies ·
So basically they just reset everything and decided to make a movie based on that original Resident Evil game where everything goes down in that massive mansion
It’s kind of hard to tell from those first few photos, but honestly, this is giving me major B-movie vibes 🙄

From Schindler to a truck driver😂😂😂

Absolute garbage of a movie
Stowaway (2021) in Movies ·
Gregory Brown94 said:Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if any film industry out there actually manages to put together a movie based on true events without piling on all that extra fluff and making up random subplots just to keep things moving. To me, once you start exaggerating the facts like that, you aren't even telling a true story anymore; you're just turning a real event into total fiction.

It feels like they even used the same narrator for this documentary..

Depends on which one we're talking about.
If you go into a documentary about astronauts, just know you're basically getting exactly what you’d expect from a bunch of military pilots and engineers.
There’s just no way to turn him into anything else.
Stowaway (2021) in Movies ·
mistyotter35 said:If we're going by that logic, is basically every movie that isn't based on actual history considered sci-fi?

And honestly, if you look at Apollo 13, there are even documentaries made about it, which would mean it fits more into that category than being pure sci-fi.
Real sci-fi would be something like the Apollo 18 mission—you know, that aborted mission they never showed the public (don't bother watching that trash movie, though).
But in the context of the film, it counts because it's framed as this secret moon mission.😉
