And here I was, thinking the whole debate over the divide between high and low culture had become completely irrelevant... You clearly aren't much for double bass or chamber music, are you?
I finally picked up Fletch today, and I can honestly say I'll be sitting through this one at least five or six times in a row without even hitting pause.
We’ve picked up plenty of intel on certainty Christopher from Chicago—we even know his phone number at this point—but we know next to nothing about Jimmy's boat out in Kansas City.
The movie is a solid comedy, actually quite good. However, despite its brave critique of the system and the military for its era, I’m not convinced it deserves this level of worship and standing ovations, especially when you stack it up against the far more compelling Love Affair by Makavejev's. It feels like a somewhat naive imitation of Godard's debut combined with an academic attempt at naturalism. E, but Rose Sokic... 😍
Top notch (5)! Hands down, the best comedy I've seen in... what, five years? Definitely.
The sheer amount of motifs and that ingenious plot—it jumps from paranormal horror straight into body-snatching alien bastards (to borrow Morgan Freeman's phrasing)... When Dr. Gray, which makes zero sense given he’s an alien and therefore neither a doctor nor an Englishman, decides to call a trucker a 'gentleman' in the middle of the deep Midwest, I absolutely lost it... and honestly, I didn't stop laughing until the credits rolled. The shit will hit the planetary fan...
It certainly deserves this specific visual representation of its behavior: 🙏 🙏 🙏

For years, I was dead certain that thing was just some terrycloth bib used for babies during mealtime, right up until someone finally enlightened me that the actual word is bib chin guard.
The Top 5 words my grandmother used to swear by:
1. soap 2. address 3. sweetie pie (my personal favorite) 4. siphon (you can tell she had that fancy French influence) 5. to take a spill (just for a simple trip or fall without hitting a hole)
Exile on Main St. It isn’t a bad album, per se, but it certainly isn't the greatest thing The Rolling Stones ever produced, despite what the common consensus seems to be these days. It feels unstructured and frankly quite abrasive, weighed down by an overproduced horn section and far too many lazy blues fills. It’s essentially a double album of chaos—a mess that even a few brilliant, inspired moments can't rescue from the overall drug-fueled disarray.
I don't know, Cate feels a bit too obvious to me. Not to mention she’s incredibly irritating and predictable as an actress. For a less icy and more neurotic approach—Miranda Richardson would be perfect. Think along the lines of her performance in Queenie, complete with those extra nervous tics.

Top 5 names for a baby boy:
1. Relja 2. Vid 3. Rocky (after my great-grandfather) 4. Jerry 5. Django
Generally speaking, if someone listens to country music, they’re probably a decent human being. Now, those homoerotic vibes similar to Morrissey aren't exactly my cup of tea, but I can appreciate a bit of moderate campiness. It’s a complicated equation. I can't help but think back to that high school fling where some young intellectual tried to seduce me while playing Schoenberg's compositions in the background. 😲
