Clean out your ears
It is entirely plausible that you might be experiencing that shell-like sensation due to some spiral buildup of cerumen.😁
Jung started out under Freud’s wing before eventually breaking away from him—and while plenty of analysts have contributed since then, you really have to give it to Freud and Jung for laying the foundation. They spent decades refining their theories, so it stands to reason there’s still some deep-seated truth left behind that they never quite fully unraveled or grasped the true essence of.

There is this common trope about how the man is supposed to be the head of the household, which leads to those metaphors where a man is called a "pushover" because his wife is effectively "running the show"—it’s quite possible there’s a cultural link there between holding power and having a penis. 🙄 😕

By the way, I smoke Marlboro Lights.😁

It’s directly tied to health issues, which are practically right next door, and since there isn't a dedicated thread for this, we have to squeeze it in here.

Thanks, I’ll certainly look into taking some action on this.🙂
Minam said:Oh, and apparently, Leonardo da Vinci only slept about four hours a day, broken up into little fifteen-minute power naps scattered throughout the entire day.

So, I suppose it’s technically possible 🙂

But let's be real: Leonardo da Vinci was a freelance artist living in an era when the world wasn't quite this crowded and hyper-monitored. Honestly, trying to measure our own productivity against someone like him is a bit... well, you know.😵
Supposedly, it’s beneficial for people to lean into their depression when they hit those mental slumps, just to experience one single night of it.

Look, I already tried stripping out that initial default section, but the result is identical. Honestly, in my desperation, I even attempted to leave it in just to see if it would behave differently, but it keeps spitting out the exact same response.😢

How do I set up an avatar?

I find a picture on Google, grab the image URL, but whenever I paste it into that field, it just tells me I'm doing something wrong. How does one actually do this correctly?
Private clinics for gastroscopy? in Health ·
urbanseal6 said:I had mine done at the hospital and it was an absolute nightmare. They shove this half-meter long tube down you while the nurses are just pushing through the pain and digging around.😲 🙄 🙂
If you value your sanity, stay far away from any hospital if they suggest a rib-side scope or a gastroscopy.
Honestly, I’m looking for a decent private clinic recommendation because the thought of stepping foot back into a public hospital makes me shudder.

Look, from your front teeth down to the cardia, we're talking about 40 cm. There is simply no other way around it—you have to swallow a tube that is at least half a meter long. And the diameter? Well, it's exactly what it is. You don't get to negotiate the thickness.😛
Sleep issues in Health ·
Benjamin Moore said:Does this have anything to do with that thing... what’s it called... circadian rhythm? The idea that sleep before midnight is somehow superior?

It is called a circadian rhythm.
People often claim that getting to sleep before midnight provides the highest quality rest. It’s a common phenomenon where people avoid going to bed when they are feeling anxious; they spend their daylight hours suppressing dark thoughts through various activities, only to have those same thoughts catch up to them the moment they hit the pillow, leading to insomnia. Sleep is essential for melatonin production. A deficiency in that hormone takes a toll on the body—and as for IQ scores, research suggests they tend to suffer, along with a noticeable drop in concentration levels.

So, let me get this straight—actual medical issues are just the byproduct of low self-esteem? 😬
I honestly didn't expect such a shallow, pointless comment from someone of your intellectual caliber.

Just to refresh your memory, the topic at hand is hypnosis. It has absolutely zero connection to homeopathy or any other "alternative" nonsense. So, what is your actual take on hypnosis (and I mean hypnosis, not homeopathy)? 😉

To be perfectly honest, I don't know anything about hypnosis from a legitimate, clinical standpoint. My mention of homeopathy was only because it clearly works as a placebo. As far as I'm concerned, homeopathy is just a placebo effect. I might be wrong, but that’s my current understanding. I never claimed that real health problems stem from low self-confidence—though, if you go by the WHO definition of illness, one could argue that low self-confidence is itself a health issue. But by that logic, there isn't a single healthy soul left on this planet; we're all just living in brief moments of bliss or dreaming.

I’ve actually encountered people who have found relief through homeopathy myself. It wasn't even about treating some physical ailment, either; they were using it to address issues with low self-confidence. That's all.

northernfalcon30 said:Those dimples—not just chin dimples, mind you, I’m talking about those sultry little indentations above the glutes😉 —are simply irresistible on a woman. In my experience, they almost always belong to someone with a stunning physique.
I might actually go so far as to say it's the single most attractive feature on the female body.
Good grief, I can still picture this one Dutchwoman I once saw... she was absolutely gorgeous... and she had no idea that the entire beach (well, at least the men's side) was staring intently at those dimples, her curves, and that tiny bit of fabric barely clinging to her hips.
🙂 😎

I'm honestly not entirely certain we're even discussing the same thing here. Does anyone have a photo of these "sexy dimples" handy? (Just so I can check if I've got them myself😬 )

As for those folks mentioning a single dot—specifically an opening just below the top of the sacrum where it meets the gluteal area... we could very well be looking at a fistula opening from a pilonidal sinus.

Or perhaps they’re referring to that convergent indentation that forms along the gluteus muscle attachment?
Dimples above the butt? in Health ·
Are you referring to those points on either side, the ones that align with the posterior edges of the iliac crest?
They’re used to estimate whether the pelvic canal is wide enough for a safe delivery, or something along those lines. You also factor in the tip of the fifth lumbar spine process and where the sacral groove begins. That specific rhombus formed by those markers is what they use for assessment in OB-GYN practice. At least, if I’ve interpreted the question correctly and my memory of those anatomical landmarks hasn't failed me entirely.
