Eric Fox7 said:It’s not some massive high-stakes play, but the odds look decent enough to mess with. In the Singapore league, we've got Courts Young Lions-Woodlands Wellington facing off, and honestly—the home side hasn't found the back of the net once in their last six matches. They're sitting on six straight losses with a goal difference of 0:16, which is just brutal. 😲 I mean, the opposition isn't exactly world-class either, but I think it’s worth a shot to take home team to not score @ 2.50 (SS) 🤷

I don't know, man, I'm actually expecting goals in this one. The Lions are conceding about two per game, they haven't scored in their last few outings, and they're on this endless losing streak—but weirdly enough, they're constantly involved in OVER games.
Meanwhile, Woodlands is one of those unpredictable teams where anything can happen—they could easily drop two or three on you, or absolutely nothing at all.

My gut says both sides will find the net. Even the bookies seem to be leaning that way; they're giving the Lions 1.4, while the Both Teams to Score and OVER options are sitting at 1.6.

Honestly, anything goes with these guys. Kickoff is at 1:30 PM.

Honestly, I’d be real careful if I were looking at the US lower leagues.
Take a team like Louisville City—they've got the tightest defense in the USL right now, but those games are wide open; anyone can beat anyone on any given Sunday.
Even though neither of these two clubs has been playing particularly great lately, Louisville is sitting right near the top of the table, whereas a team like Memphis Depay's old squad is struggling big time, conceding goals left and right and basically fighting for their lives against relegation.

If you really wanted to get aggressive with it, you might consider betting on Memphis to score anytime at decent odds, or maybe go for the Over 1.5 goals line.

Way to go, guys—keep that momentum going! 👍

So, what kind of engine are we actually looking at dropping in there?
Living on the fringes: Life with a diagnosis in Psychology ·
It’s honestly exhausting trying to stay "awake" every single second of the day! I've started noticing that I just kind of... drift off—mentally, anyway—whenever I'm actually getting stuff done!
Chocolate, sugar... Sweets in general in Health ·
So... here we go.
I’ve got this habit—and yeah, let’s call it what it is, a bit of an addiction—where I’m constantly snacking on sweets. We're talking candy, cookies, chocolate, the whole nine yards. It’s basically my lifestyle at this point.
What I really want to know is: what exactly is this doing to my body in the long run?!
My gut feeling is that my liver is taking the biggest hit here, right?!
Living on the fringes: Life with a diagnosis in Psychology ·
Look, first things first—every single day is its own beast. That’s just common sense, really, but when you're "special," you actually feel that weight in your bones every morning.
In my experience—and this is just a gut feeling—about 98% of people don't have the slightest clue how to deal with someone who's genuinely struggling with their own mind.

You’ve got to maintain a certain level of awareness, maybe even with the help of some meds, to stay afloat. You need that "optimistic" headspace. Because if we let ourselves slip... well, heaven help us. I mean, if all the idiots out there get to wander around this world unchecked, then I guess "we" have a right to be a mess too, right? What's the difference?

Sure, things are a lot harder for "us"—it’s a struggle just to exist among this massive sea of the uneducated—but that just makes any small win feel like a massive victory. Besides, let’s be real: we aren't saints. We can be pretty ignorant too, especially toward people dealing with the exact same stuff we are, and we won't even realize we're doing it! Mental illness is just unbalanced brain chemistry. Just like humans can build insane things—climbing skyscrapers without ropes, jumping from heights that would make an animal pass out, or even killing each other with terrifyingly professional precision—you can also "build" or develop an imbalance in your "brain muscle."

Stay sharp, Brothers and sisters!

I’m right there with you, Jerry Moore2—because honestly, what even counts as "normal" anymore?! But let’s be real, there are people out there who just struggle to exist, people who are constantly battling themselves, and their whole "inner world" can feel like straight-up hell.
"Normal" isn't actually a thing. It’s just a label for what society finds acceptable. If I saw someone literally bashing their head against a wall, I’d probably just offer them some empathy and a kind word, but there are plenty of people—and I mean a ton—who would just stand there and laugh at them instead.
Obviously, the whole "banging your head against a wall" thing is just a bit of an exaggeration on my part. What I really mean is those certain habits and behaviors people exhibit in a society that’s totally intolerant, lacking any real sense of understanding or compassion.

Alright, my dear friends...
I’ve been hanging around this forum for about two years now, and honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a thread quite like this one.
I’m starting this because I want anyone dealing with a mental health diagnosis—or even just those struggling with stuff they haven't officially labeled yet—to finally have a place to speak up. This isn't just for people under the strict supervision of some doctor at the Mayo Clinic; it’s for the folks who are out there fighting their own battles solo, trying to make sense of their own heads and just wanting to live a decent, quality life.
Why am I doing this? Because let’s be real—society is usually pretty terrible toward people in this situation, and that stigma just makes everything ten times harder. Sometimes you can't even find a shred of empathy or warmth from your own family back home.

So, what's on your mind? How are you actually doing? How do you deal with those inner demons when things get heavy?
AT&T drops $1.8 million on rebranding in Economy ·
goldengull3 said:Your business strategy sucks. People generally don't value stuff when they get it for peanuts.

Let me draw a parallel here to the economy in America and all the private sector players! So, you're telling me people—the everyday working class, the folks just trying to make a living and punch the clock—are out there grinding away at private companies for $833, which basically means the bosses don't actually respect them? And if you, as part of the working class, decide you don't want to deal with it—well, just hand in your resignation and walk away, because there’s always someone else lined up ready to take the spot! So, since that's the reality for about 88% of businesses out there, does that mean we don't even respect each other as a society?

goldengull3 said:So, what's even weird about that?

What's weird is that I'd personally handle the whole thing for a measly buck $0.00!
Don't you guys think a cool $1.5 million for a job like that is a bit of a stretch?
AT&T drops $1.8 million on rebranding in Economy ·
So, get this—AT&T just dropped 12,000 $0.00 on a new logo!
And let me tell you, the LOGO is... something else. It’s just the word "AT&T" in black with some kind of trendy, hippie-style scribbles. I guess for that kind of money, they're also redesigning the packaging, the envelopes, and all that other corporate nonsense...
I mean, clearly AT&T has cash to burn...

In the winter, by late afternoon or evening, my hands turn this crazy shade of red, purple, blue—honestly, who knows

And one doctor actually told me that I shouldn't even think about smoking, even if I were insane, because I could end up having a stroke

Does anyone have any info on this? Any actual experiences?

...And honestly, why on earth would you EVEN smoke?!?!?! On top of all the other toxic crap we're already breathing in every day, you'd want to go out and just inhale more of it directly...

Eye twitching: anyone else getting this? in Health ·
So, my left eye has been doing this weird little thing lately. It’s not even a full-on twitch—not like those dramatic spasms you see in movies where someone's face goes haywire—but more like this tiny, subtle jitter. Like, if I stare at myself in the mirror, I can actually see the lower part of my left eyelid shifting side-to-side by maybe a millimeter or so. It's just... unsettling.

Is this some kind of nerve thing? Or maybe my blood pressure acting up? Or who knows what else? It doesn't happen constantly, just maybe once or twice every couple of days, and it only lasts for about 5 to 10 seconds before it settles back down.
Dry skin on my hands in Health ·
I think I'll just try sticking with some decent hand cream for now.
It seems like things get way worse whenever I'm out in the cold—you know, that biting winter air—so I'm pretty sure the weather is the main culprit here.

Thanks for all the input, everyone.
Dry skin on my hands in Health ·
Hey everyone, I’ve got a quick question for the group!

So, the skin on my hands—specifically the top part of my palms—has gotten super hard, almost like it’s constantly on the verge of peeling off. But it never actually does; it just stays incredibly tough and rough. It’s mostly happening in those little divots right where the fingers meet the palm. Honestly, it feels like a bunch of dead skin cells just hanging out there. I can't tell if it's because of the cold weather, maybe some circulation issues, or something else entirely...

I haven't even bothered trying any lotions or creams yet. I do have pretty mediocre circulation in general, but I’m not sure if that’s actually the culprit here—it doesn't feel like my circulation is quite bad enough to cause something this specific...

😕
Politzer's attempt or just a power trip? in Health ·
Can someone please tell me—if you have any clue—what kind of procedure or therapy this actually is:
It’s where a doctor basically uses some kind of "air gun" to blast air into your nose at specific intervals, and while they're doing it—or in those little gaps between blasts—you have to say the word "chocolate." Does anyone know what that’s for?
I went through this when I was a kid, maybe around 5, 6, or 7 years old.
The silver lining of being a psycho? in Psychology ·
Wow, look at you guys, acting like such deep-thinking philosophers. Honestly, if any of you had actually met someone struggling with a genuine, severe mental illness, you wouldn’t be spouting this nonsense. Most of us here don't have the slightest clue what actual mental illness even looks like—and hey, maybe we're lucky that way. You'll never truly know which famous people or artists were actually suffering, and you definitely won't know how many "regular folks" were dealing with it behind closed doors.

Do you really think someone in the middle of a total psychotic break is sitting there thinking, "Hey, I should probably pick up a paintbrush and create some fine art"?

Just because you vented to a buddy about feeling a little blue, or because you had some "deep epiphany" while riding a Xanax cloud during your monthly cycle... that doesn't mean you know what an actual DISEASE is! You have no idea where it comes from or how it starts. Heck, even psychiatrists aren't all that much smarter on the subject. You go see a shrink because you're stressed about whether you can qualify for a mortgage, he gives you some advice, and suddenly you think you've mastered "mental health treatment"! Or maybe you're hitting your head against a wall, the doctor puts you on 30mg of Prozac, you're drooling and can barely function, and *that's* when you claim to understand "healing"! It's all a joke to you. You go to the clinic, get handed 50mg of Zoloft or 20mg of Lexapro, and honestly, do you really think you're qualified to lecture anyone on the "benefits of mental disorders"? You haven't a clue! If everyone in this thread were a psychiatrist, I'd be writing the exact same thing to you! The fact that you've realized a newborn duckling follows the first thing it sees doesn't mean you're geniuses—it means you have NO CLUE! Lucky for you, those "chemical manipulators"—the pharmacists—gave you your "serotonin revelation"!
Jamie Clark74, I’m tipping my hat to you!
I rarely take off my hat for anyone—seriously, it almost never happens—but what you’ve done here in this thread? It deserves nothing but pure respect!
