Maybe even the dumbest one?

I suppose you could just head over to an eye doctor.

😁 I mean, I guess that’s all fine and well, but I was really hoping someone might have some actual firsthand experience to share.😁

About a year and a half ago, I started noticing some strange visual disturbances. It would happen where whatever point I was focusing on would turn blurry while my peripheral vision stayed clear, and then it would eventually flip—the focal point would become sharp again, but my periphery would go fuzzy. This whole episode usually lasted somewhere between 30 to 45 minutes, and once it passed, I’d be left with a headache and some discomfort behind my eyes.
I eventually noticed a pattern suggesting this might be triggered by drinking coffee, so I decided to cut it out entirely. For a while, the symptoms disappeared completely, and I even started having coffee again, which seemed fine since my vision remained stable for about six months.
However, lately, these episodes have started resurfacing, occurring twice within just a few days.

If anyone happens to have any advice or insights on this, I suppose I would be quite grateful.

I am not entirely certain if that is what you are referring to, though I believe the book was actually released in five separate volumes.

I went through a pretty similar situation myself, though my mother wasn't particularly angry with him, at least from what I could gather. He was sick, and that’s just a reality of life—something you have to accept and eventually move forward from.

That was probably a personal record for me, considering I don't usually spend much more than that. So, you all can see how it goes. 🙂

Personally, I wouldn't call it fear, if that's what you mean. It's just easier for me to connect with people when I can actually look them in the eye. Using a phone feels like a bit of a chore to me; it's mostly just for making basic arrangements—like, "I'll see you there at this time," and then we can talk in person if it's really necessary. I've never been much of a talker, and I certainly am not a fan of talking on the phone.

I suppose I can see that. I guess the peak of communication is just eye contact.😁

Self-discipline is arguably the simplest method to get things under control, yet somehow it remains one of the most difficult paths to walk. I suppose I have already begun performing certain behaviors subconsciously without even realizing it. I haven't reached out to a medical professional just yet, though I have read online that there is a certain percentage of risk regarding depressive episodes and similar issues; personally, I don't experience any physical tics.😁I consider myself a perfectly normal individual who functions quite well within society, and I certainly don't encounter any friction when interacting with others. This is strictly an internal struggle that exhausts me, and I would very much like to find a way to resolve it.

I guess I’ve been dealing with this since I was just a kid—things like needing to walk along the lines on the sidewalk or jumping over manhole covers... but lately, over the last two or three years, it seems to have started happening much more frequently. It has sort of evolved into full-blown rituals now, such as washing my hands constantly, counting random, pointless things, touching certain objects, or arranging little items in specific spots. Because of that, I would be really grateful if anyone could offer some advice. If there is anyone out there struggling with similar issues, please reach out, maybe even via private message. Or, if someone has actually managed to overcome this, I would truly appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thanks in advance.
