Well, nearsightedness is essentially just a lens defect, and it isn't really the kind of thing that fluctuates on a regular basis, so I guess I have my doubts about that theory.
I suppose there isn't much else one can say, other than perhaps you should take the advice you've already received and go see an ophthalmologist.
It is quite possible that you have some sort of refractive error, and given that peripheral flickering, you might actually need astigmatism correction in your lenses. My mother experienced something very similar even though she was already wearing glasses, and it turned out she needed cylindrical correction on top of her existing prescription. And until you address that—meaning, until you get a pair of glasses that properly aligns everything—I suspect your vision won't improve.
Well, I can see perfectly fine when it doesn't catch me off guard, I guess.
I actually went ahead and started a topic regarding this matter several months ago, if I recall correctly. 😁
The other day at my office, I felt so incredibly nauseous that I turned pale and had to head home early. I didn't really start feeling any better until I managed to throw up and catch a quick nap. 🙄 😁
Aside from things involving alcohol, I suppose the only other time I can remember being sick was once when I was a kid, and that was just from eating some bad ice cream.
But I have to admit, something pretty intense happens to me sometimes😢
It’s just that, out of nowhere, my vision starts getting all blurry. For about fifteen minutes or so, I can't seem to find a single point of focus, then everything in my peripheral vision goes fuzzy, and eventually, it passes. However, once it's over, I'm usually left with a nasty headache and this lingering sense of nausea.
Rachel Sanders said:My eye has been twitching for about five days now. It happens roughly every five seconds.😢 Is there a reason why it twitches?😢 I suppose, is this actually normal? Should an eye be twitching like this?😢 Maybe I should see a doctor; I really don't enjoy this sensation.😠 Yesterday, I couldn't even manage to read a book because the twitching was so intense. It is my right eye.🙂
I have been dealing with some twitching lately as well, I guess.🤣
It isn't necessarily visible to others, but I can certainly feel this pulsing sensation.😁
I suppose my own life has seen its fair share of peaks and valleys, though I find those fluctuations—moving from periods of total inactivity to being completely overwhelmed—to be somewhat interesting in their own way. 😁
It seems like you can barely blink before finding some new distraction or task to occupy your time. 😁
I seem to recall an episode of Jackass where Steve-O decided to plunge his head straight into a bucket full of jellyfish 😱 which naturally led to him trying to soothe the sting with some urine 😬
I suppose ammonia might actually be effective for that sort of thing, maybe
I suppose I went through a similar phase during my high school years, where I definitely overdid it for a few seasons. There was a stretch where I wouldn't dream of smoking fewer than ten cigarettes a day—usually one before class, one during the long break, one after school, maybe two or three in the afternoon, and then another right before hitting the sack. 😬
I’ve moved past all that now, though not too long ago, my buddies would come over to my place to do pushups every single day, yet I never once felt any urge to join them. 😁
The thing is, you eventually notice yourself becoming a bit duller, though I guess once you quit, you sort of return to your baseline self. It feels somewhat awkward because when you smoke too much, everything starts revolving around weed; it gets stuck in your head, and suddenly you lose interest in other things like cars, PC builds, or sports. It creates this strange sensation when you hang out with a group discussing those topics and you just end up sitting there in silence. 😬
In general, if kept to moderate amounts, I think it's somewhat acceptable—perhaps even better than some of the things society considers "normal" or socially acceptable.
White said:Well, I suppose... As long as you're drinking alcohol and keeping it cheap, it works out...
but now you're just being unnecessarily extreme🙄 😬 what exactly isn't allowed anymore? can we not even drink a beer?
Beer is just food, really, and besides, you wouldn't even have the luxury of drinking it in a movie theater anyway😁
I guess if you want every single movie you see in a theater to feel like Mulholland Drive🤣 then maybe you should just admit that watching blockbusters isn't worth the effort😁
I mean, honestly, can you even top that kind of atmosphere? Just kicking back in your recliner in the middle of the States, beer in one hand and a bag of chips in the other, while you're basically running the show—barking orders like, "Turn it up! Bump the contrast to 60, set the brightness to 80..." 🤣
redowl90 said:Look... I suppose if someone watches movies strictly just to claim they saw them before everyone else, while completely ignoring the actual quality or the viewing experience itself—then, in my estimation, that person is a complete fool...
But I have to wonder, is the movie theater always truly the best way to experience a film? 😕 Even when you're stuck behind some annoying guy with his popcorn or someone sitting two feet away from you in your personal space 🙄
Or maybe it’s only better if you're renting a DVD from a local video rental shop, though even then you can never be quite sure if the disc is an original or just some bootleg, since it's been common knowledge for ages that some shops rent out pirated copies 🙄
And honestly, I'd bet anything you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference between a well-ripped DVD and the original version
In the end, for all the money you might have spent at the cinema or the rental store, you probably could have just put that toward a massive LCD TV and a comfortable recliner instead 😬
but I find myself wondering if my own limit is around 120 while I am pulling down at 15 or occasionally even just 5
how on earth are you managing to get anything higher
and I am talking about an emulator, not DC Comics😁😁😁
Well, I guess... I download directly from the main sites, whereas for movies and other stuff, I use the wireless connection, so I usually end up hitting my absolute ceiling anyway😁
I basically just buy internet from a friend who signed up for that high-end fiber plan that goes for something like $150 a month, so we stay connected via a VPN; normally I am stuck at about 40 kb/s because I don't really need much speed, but when I ask him, he can unlock it so I pull things down much faster😁
Lawrence Booth2 said:Go ahead, send me a screenshot showing exactly what kind of download speeds you're getting on these movies.
Pretty soon 😳 I might be facing some 🤣 hardware issues
It’s honestly starting to get a bit frustrating because I’m relying on my wireless connection, and even then, I’m only pulling about 500 Mbps through DC Comics.
