Exactly. It feels like a mix between Hellraiser, The Cube (specifically those scenes where they're trapped inside), and the Borg, though I didn't find it particularly bothersome.

The special effects are phenomenal and the fight choreography is absolutely brilliant. However, since this appeals to a teenage audience, there are certain scenes I’d cut immediately: the arrival at the lake party, the bit where Pes urinates on the robot's leg (that dialogue just drags on forever), the whole parental subplot, and that conversation about masturbation (?! WTF)

Regarding the debate over blondes versus brunettes, personally, I think brunettes win every time.

Well, when you look at Roman Polanski's films—take The Tenant, for instance—compared to Lynch's massive filmography, it's honestly tough to pick just one.
One of the most disturbing movies out there has to be Eraserhead. I've heard a rumor that back in his early days, Lynch used to pin bees and other insects to his walls with thumbtacks.😁

So, I finally sat down and watched the whole movie yesterday. Jack Black is charming, but the film itself was honestly pretty lackluster overall. 😢
(I think it's probably only worth catching that one scene with the devil and calling it a day)

Been Caught Stealing🙂 is such an incredible track for dancing.

MTV is great, but I actually preferred their set on the cassette
The Cure: simply excellent
Radiohead: it was just too crowded and sweltering in an otherwise stunning venue, so I missed them (though when I first saw the empty hall at the start, I was impressed by how much it reminded me of some top-tier Chicago venues)

It reminded me this morning of the first Ramones concert in New York City about 16 years ago; the acoustics were terrible, but the overall experience was absolutely grand 😬
