Nick didn't try to talk you into thinking differently. 😁

I don't really have much to add here. Just sitting here with my coffee, watching the rain hit the window, thinking about how some things are better left unsaid. No comment from me.

Basically, things have really heated up here... and honestly, maybe I'm just being slow or something, but why does everyone assume all Republicans are just narrow-minded, racist, uneducated, and intolerant—or whatever else you guys listed off??? Who decided that?😕 I am definitely not like that!!! SERIOUSLY!! It’s just like someone smart mentioned a few posts ago—I think there’s value in nurturing certain traditional values (even if I don't personally subscribe to them), and they just feel like they provide some sort of backbone, you know? And look, I have friends all over the world; my first boyfriend was Black, and one of my best girlfriends is a huge fan of the Democratic Party, so when we grab drinks at the beach, we just joke around about different political magazines 😁 and we get along great!!! So, am I some kind of weirdo then?😕

Thirteen years of pure hell, sorry, but you'll have to convince me otherwise. 🙄
Maybe you had a fine time living through the era of the Republican Party, but I certainly didn't.
Man, thirteen years of looting and destroying people's lives.
Closing down clubs, those various attempts to shut down local radio stations...
Thirteen years ago, that same Republican Party was out there spreading nothing but hate.
Sorry, lady, but when it comes to people who are voting for them again, I just can't
have anything nice to say.

Skin issues help! in Health ·
I’m honestly just sitting here wondering what on earth is happening to my skin. Every single morning when I wash my face, it looks like it’s completely flared up—pimples popping out everywhere and this redness spreading around, though not quite uniformly. It usually settles down after about ten minutes, but man, it’s a rough start to the day. Then, when I shower at night, things get even weirder; I’ll switch up my body washes and suddenly I’ve got breakouts on my back and these red patches across my shoulders that just won't stop itching. And don't even get me started on my legs. They feel incredibly dry, almost like they're flaking off, and the itching is just unbearable. I actually had this thought that maybe it was the water quality in my neighborhood, so last night I went through the whole routine of boiling some water to use instead. I washed my face with it this morning, but... yeah, absolutely nothing changed. Just to clarify, I don't wear any makeup, and I haven't really used it much in the past either. Could this be a vitamin deficiency or something? Or am I just losing it? I’m seriously considering booking an appointment with a dermatologist. If anyone happens to have a good link or some advice, please, could you share it?
What can I even tell you? I got my first tattoo when I was 22, and honestly, it just kind of stings a little. I actually think if you go for a wax session beforehand, like I usually do, getting tattooed feels way less intense—like, significantly less. 😁 😁
But really, it all comes down to where you're getting it done.
The skin is just thinner and more sensitive in certain spots.
So anywayz, I ended up deciding against that lip piercing. After reading through all those posts about how the skin reacts and everything you have to do to maintain it, I just decided to pass. Plus, I had a few quick chats with some doctors who aren't exactly big fans of body modifications. 😁

I mean, honestly, when did politics start bleeding into everything else? That’s really the heart of the matter right here. 😁 😁 .
It's pretty obvious that the NYSE isn't going to see any kind of bailout or support because they just don't fit the current mold. That's exactly why I've been feeling so worked up about this lately.

😁 😁 😁

oh, and 😘

Well, the elections finally wrapped up, and honestly? It feels like we're just looking at the same old story in a different wrapper. People can be so incredibly two-faced sometimes—saying one thing to your face while thinking something completely different behind closed doors.

Listen, dear, this isn't just going to happen to the local IEEE chapter; it’s happening to other clubs too. But hey, whether I actually know what I'm talking about or not is really my business, right? Honestly, if you want some real insight, just go dive into the Rolling Stone archives from the early '90s. That should give you all the context you need.

I’ve never once cast my vote for the Republican Party. And honestly? When I talk about wanting a better government, that has absolutely nothing to do with them!
Honestly, though—it’s really not even worth my breath to comment on this. 🙄

Why bother even commenting? Honestly, I’ve just shared my take on things, and hey, anyone is more than welcome to disagree—I don't mind at all—but please, let's stick to actual arguments instead of just throwing insults around. It’s much more civilized that way. Besides, for the record, I’ve never exactly been a huge fan of the Republican Party either.

Now that the Republican Party has clawed its way back into power, I find myself sitting here, staring out my window at the street, thinking about what this actually means for the American people. It’s funny, really. You spend all this time watching the political pendulum swing back and forth, and then suddenly, you're faced with the reality of it. I was just telling a friend over coffee yesterday how much everything seems to shift once a new administration takes the reins. It makes you wonder... does it change who we are as Americans? Or does it just highlight the cracks that were already there? I can't help but feel a bit contemplative about our national character right now.
I mean, am I allowed to have a positive outlook on this? It feels a bit weird. For like, thirteen years straight, we’ve been absolute garbage at this. They tried to shut down WXRT, they messed with all those local clubs... and now, suddenly, they want to let it happen again? I don't know, it just doesn't sit right with me. It feels a little off.🙄

Look, I know exactly what I’m saying here. Honestly, you all got exactly what you asked for back in '91 when you pushed for this kind of government, so now you just have to sit there and take it. No hard feelings, really, but the very same people who show up at the American Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers today are the ones who were voting Republican and acting like hardcore nationalists back then. It honestly makes my skin crawl—that kind of hypocrisy. People thinking one thing and preaching something completely different. And when people say they’re "just a little different," well, sorry, but I am *way* more different from
those Republican types. Wait, are you actually suggesting that because I don't care for nationalism or certain loud-mouthed country singers, they're going to go out of their way to shut down some club? 😠 😠 😠 . No freaking way. Now, if that actually happened, I’d be the first one organizing a protest. It’s so much easier to just whine and let them run things their way, mostly because we’re all just too terrified to speak up. Why wouldn't we protest against discrimination? One thing that really burned me up was seeing those half-hearted protests against the war in Iraq. It was the exact same crowd that hangs out at the American Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. So, I have to ask: where were you all during our own domestic conflicts? If you weren't protesting then, why start now? The whole thing just feels exhausting. 🙂 🙂 .
Well, look, I grew up in a quiet suburban neighborhood, so for me, everything still feels like Beverly Hills. But anywayz, if you're looking at things involving Robija, I actually thought about getting my lip filler done once. But then I grabbed a sheet of printer paper, sat down, and read through all the fine print very carefully... and honestly? I changed my mind pretty fast.😁 😁
I'm not really sure about that guy over by the Fish pond, but those two are definitely the big names—you can even find their official website online where they lay out all the details clearly. 😁
boldeagle3 said:Regarding those tattoos, I heard they do them over at Beauty Salon Bozic in a nice Suburban neighborhood. Give them a call and just ask.
Apparently, they use this kind of natural pigment that doesn't sink quite as deep into your skin as a real tattoo would... but honestly, who knows?

And besides, if you want the look without the lifelong commitment, you're basically choosing between two different paths here 😁
If you aren't looking for something permanent, why not just grab some temporary transfers? You can stick them on and peel them off whenever you feel like it 😁

😂 😂
Aaron Gonzalez6 said:So, where exactly are these tattoos located?😁

On my legs. 😁
I’ve got two tattoos myself, and honestly, real tattoos don't just fade away.
I mean, sure, someone could draw something on you with henna, but after about three weeks, it’s just gone.
As for the whole hepatitis thing, you’re looking at a real risk if you go to people who
aren't properly licensed, kind of like those guys working out of unlicensed shops in some random suburban neighborhood. It's always a gamble when you're getting work done at someone's house; things can get messy fast. If you’re serious about getting inked, you really need to stick exclusively to professionals with legitimate licenses. My best advice? Just head over to a top-tier shop in Beverly Hills, grab some of their free literature to read up on, give it some actual thought, and then you'll be all set. 😁
It's just that I don't actually have a credit card on hand, though I'd much prefer to just pay via cash on delivery if that's an option.😁
If only this weren't such a headache because of all the regulations over here in the States... I'll figure it out eventually, though. I actually just fired off an email to the Mayo Clinic to see what they say. Fingers crossed. 😁
Now we just wait and see if they actually have any sense of professionalism. 😁
I'm heading downtown this Saturday, and I'm really looking forward to just wandering around for a bit... though, honestly, you don't see much of that kind of leisure time left in

the US 😲 😲 😲
Does anyone happen to know where I might be able to pick up a meditation DVD here in the States?

I'm looking for a specific shop or maybe just a general address if someone could point me in the right direction...
electricdriver78 said:Oh, that’s wonderful news! Truly fantastic!

I'm just sitting here, waiting on those meditation and Tai Chi tapes I ordered to finally show up in the mail. It feels like it's taking forever, but I'm looking forward to it!

I honestly can't wait! I've just been sitting here thinking about it all morning. There’s just something about that feeling of anticipation, you know? It’s like when you’re waiting for a big package to arrive from Amazon or finally getting to see a long-awaited movie premiere. Just really looking forward to it! 🙂

So, where on earth did you manage to order that? I've been hunting around everywhere trying to find a place that actually carries it. Any idea where I can pick one up? 🙄

I’ve got quite a few books sitting around on my shelf, but honestly, finding the time to actually get moving and practice alongside all that reading is a bit of a struggle. It's one thing to study the theory, isn't it? But then you look at the stack of books and realize how much work it takes to actually put those ideas into motion. I find myself getting lost in the pages sometimes... just a little too much!

So, if you could just let me know when you have an update, that would be wonderful. No rush at all, really—just whenever it's convenient for you!
Come on now, just drop that damn link already!

😁 😁 😁
