According to the official city estimates, back in 2013 we were sitting at about 795,900, though honestly, it’s probably cruising past 800,000 by now. If you look at the broader metro area, we were already hitting a million back in 2011, so I’m not really sure what point you're trying to make here—unless we're planning on sitting around debating exact decimal points, which definitely wasn't my intention.
The KC holds around 25,000, right? So if there are, say, 3,000 people at the stadium, that’s roughly 12% of the local population.
It’s not like 96,000 people would trek from downtown Washington, D.C. to Central Park, or even 120,000 coming from the greater Washington, D.C. area, since you clearly want to get technical with the stats.
But hey, who cares, this whole debate is pretty much irrelevant anyway.

bluebison47 said:okay, look, if the whole county only has about 100k people, then that’s honestly not even that impressive 🙂

If you actually took a second to read back what you just wrote, you'd realize why it *is* impressive.
When the Kansas City Chiefs play at Yankee Stadium, you’ve got 5.6 million people showing up in a massive metro area. That works out to maybe 0.2 percent of the population... which would be like, I don't know, having 50 people show up for a game in Columbus, a place that doesn't even have a deep history of top-tier sports teams.

The only thing that actually catches my eye is reading about how they had 3000 people show up in Columbus, which is wild because that’s way more than 10% of the whole city's population—basically like if you had 100,000 fans packed into Yankee Stadium instead of the usual crowd in Washington, D.C.

Walter Clark7 said:we need better vibes among all us fans who support Real Madrid like I do. You guys have tried everything, but from where I'm standing, you never even started with yourselves or the community around you

Look, man, I’m a fan who doesn't even consider myself part of the Bad Boys crowd, and honestly, I’m probably closer to your generation than most. Even years ago, I realized right here on this forum how much of a waste of time it is to just spend all day whining about vague conclusions whenever a thread catches my eye. I try to chip in my two cents whenever I can. It all comes at a cost, sure, but thank God there are plenty of Dynamo fans out there; it shouldn't be such a massive headache to swap out the exhausted, burnt-out ones for a fresh batch of eager supporters, right?
Despite all the issues, if anyone is going to suggest being proactive, I’d point it toward that "community" you mentioned—the fans and the "citizens" you're talking about, which, let's face it, most of us Dynamo fans fall into anyway. Instead of just sitting there passively waiting for some Bad Boys types to suck up to them, play nice, or send over some formal little petition with an explanation, why not actually do something?
Besides, they aren't exactly aggressive, and from what I've seen, it shouldn't be an issue—in fact, it might actually work—if they just listened to a specific, actionable idea from you. If you've got one, go ahead. You and your buddies could even try to pull it off yourselves, just so everything doesn't rely on certain people or those Bad Boys types you seem to think have a bad reputation.
Anything is better, and in any case, it's better than just typing away or stating the obvious on a forum, or the "silent majority with Real Madrid in their hearts" just fading away in the stands, or leaving the stadium entirely, which is already happening.

Man, I’d really love to hear some actual, concrete advice from an older, more seasoned fan—someone maybe fifty years deep into this—on how we can avoid mass arrests and getting hammered by the law. And I’m not talking about things people have already tried, either. I mean how do we dodge being hauled off just because you don't have a ticket in your pocket, or for shouting something out, wearing a certain shirt, holding a beer bottle while hanging out near Times Square, or even just giving an officer a weird look—or sometimes even if you didn't do anything at all, they'll just find something to pin on you. I'm talking about avoiding months of being held without any real charges, those blacklists posted at the ticket booths, seeing hundreds of cops in riot gear surrounding Yankee Stadium behind rows of steel barricades just for a few hundred fans, losing your job, getting kicked out of school, ruining your reputation, dealing with threats, intimidation, the general abuse of power by the state, and all that media spin... all while they simultaneously try to resuscitate dead or dying fans and DinamoFce supporters so they'll step up and sacrifice themselves a little instead of the kids—because why not, right?
And let's be real, I'm not talking about that brainwashing nonsense on the stands where everyone sits there with their heads bowed, "proudly and quietly remembering Real Madrid," just so some suit can count more than 364 paid attendees and claim that support for GNK is growing. And no, I'm not talking about the protests, the legal battles, or the media campaigns we've already thrown at the wall to see what sticks.
Who knows, maybe there’s some fresh idea out there waiting to be shared, so if anyone with more experience wants to chime in and give their two cents, go ahead. Everyone carries the weight of their own little corner of the universe, assuming they actually think it's worth much.

Look, everyone keeps claiming they hired some top-tier pro just to make sure this looks like pure, unadulterated, gritty street-level chaos, like it’s straight out of an underground indie flick rather than a polished studio job.

analogheron19 said:Just because someone’s talking trash doesn't mean the movie is actually going to suck. Honestly, it can't get any worse than Metastasis anyway.😛

Look, at the end of the day, the final product can always turn out way more damaging than some stupid movie, no matter how many little jokes they threw in there or what kind of "vision" the project lead and their so-called "advisors" thought they were pulling off.
I’m not sure I could ever truly get on the same page as John Doe... I mean, look at the social climate we're living in right now. Public opinion is such a mess, and this whole exhausting struggle for basic human rights and fan freedoms—which has honestly spiraled completely out of control and lost all sense of reason—makes me wonder if it's even smart to blindly cheer on yet another movie that just exists to fuel old prejudices. You know, those dusty, tired myths about drunken mobs and whatnot. Even if there's some grain of truth or authenticity buried in there somewhere, I don't know. People living through this era will be the ones to judge, but that’s really beside the point.
Whatever, I'm done getting involved in this mess...

velvetfalcon80 said:Based on this article, they rejected membership for Biscan, Sokota, Marica, and Simica.

If I remember correctly, they didn't even get a formal explanation—which is supposed to be mandatory—but then again, I don't think they bothered to file an appeal either. It really makes you wonder what the actual criteria are, or how long someone actually qualifies as a member, even if they aren't paying their dues. Biscan was definitely a member until just a few years back; as far as I know, he even served on the assembly for a while. Now, look, failing to pay membership fees CAN be grounds for being kicked out, but I don't see anything in their bylaws saying that happens automatically. So, if anything, they should have just expelled him instead of rejecting his membership application in the first place.
But hey, since The Four won't let anyone push them to the limit—and they won't let most other people either—it's all just kind of lukewarm. But that's just how things work in America, I guess.

Honestly, we should just consider him a blessing from Christmas 2014, because you've gotta differentiate him from those other types who spend all their time cursing everyone out during the holidays.
The real mess with Dinamo Chicago—all that repression and how they just want to keep bullying people across the entire MLS landscape—that isn't something Futsal can fix. You need actual institutions for that. Futsal and the fans alone can show, and prove, that things can actually get BETTER and that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. And frankly, that's exactly what they're doing right now, period.
Chicago Blackhawks fans in Fans ·
Jesse Campbell, I honestly don't get why you're going straight for the personal insults on threads like this; it’s totally unnecessary and honestly just does nothing for anyone. All you're doing is handing people ammunition to use against you and completely killing any chance of actually having a real conversation about the facts.
The guy above laid it out perfectly—the whole point of MNK isn't some kind of "slap in the face" to the establishment, it's about building a future. It's about proving, more than anything else, that you can actually be articulate and professional. Even if I think indoor soccer is a bit overrated, I still respect the hustle. And obviously, nobody should expect these gyms to suddenly migrate into the absolute chaos and disaster zone that is the top-tier pro league; that's only for people with iron stomachs. I have no clue who is being so delusional as to expect that, only to then point fingers and say, "See? It didn't work."

Dennis Davis97 said:What kind of blow to the mafia is this?

Look, it doesn't always have to be some massive "blow to the mafia." Why couldn't something just be used to build ourselves up on a solid foundation (which is exactly what's happening here), and what's wrong with that?
Chicago Blackhawks fans in Fans ·
I’m sitting here reading these (purposely?) defeatist manifestos about how everything has supposedly gone to hell. Like, what exactly was "good" before that's now been ruined? Give me a break. And on top of that, claiming Futsal falls into this category of being unimportant or counterproductive? Are you kidding me??? Futsal has become an absolute triumph, the first publicly recognized thing from the Bad Boys supporters that actually resonates with the average guy, the typical Dynamo fan—that feeling that we’re all just one big family united by our love for the club.
It isn’t just some little sanctuary or a place for people to chill out (which is totally fine), it’s become a shining example for everyone who keeps whining about "evil hooligans," showing just how much incredible progress can be made in such a short time by focusing exclusively on doing good. Even the people involved are living proof.
It makes total sense that people get way more fired up for something positive than they do for something shitty that just gives you a gut ache and drives you toward hateful, destructive behavior! That kind of energy isn't for everyone. But here, we're learning there are other ways to do things, which is a genuine joy. We need the kids to practice this, because we’re talking about 20 or 30 years of a nasty situation where things have only spiraled downward, leaving kids with nothing GOOD to learn about football or Dynamo except how to pull off a chip shot.
So, I’ll go out on a limb and say this is a socially useful educational project; I mean, hello, the Bad Boys are actually correcting each other at the slightest hint of bad behavior. They’re learning unity, positivity, and how to actually support a club—how a club *should* look. Without this, if there were elections at GNK tomorrow, nobody would even be capable of grasping the benefits of a functional club; that "new Dynamo" would be met with nothing but a VOID. There wouldn't be any fans left, or they'd all be in mental hospitals or jail, only capable of more hate and destruction.
We can sit around lamenting how "this isn't quite it," and hey, I might even agree with parts of that, but trying to sabotage this thing while acting superior is honestly beneath contempt.
And if I may offer a humble side opinion, of course, there is a massive gap between practicing your tongue by throwing out vague, armchair "criticisms" about how something wasn't done right, and actually saying, "HEY guys, here's my suggestion, let's do something good, I'm in."

Amy Ramos24 said:you gotta present an idea along with a ready-to-go solution

For sure, but there are two big things you need to nail: first, you have to pitch it to the right people face-to-face—actually show up at their door—and second, you’ve got to put yourself on the line to actually get the job done or handle a chunk of it. If you don't do that, honestly, you're mostly just wasting your breath.

casualwolf48 said:he just shows Mom's speech to the veterans over at Heinz Field and then conveniently forgets to ask about the axes and all that crap. basically, they're just like the left-wing red types.
Man, they'd really screw themselves if they actually tried, but they won't. Seriously, how are they any better than the Republican Party? They're just two sides of the same coin, really. Just two different faces of the exact same thing.
Thomas Williams59, you're my new hero. You're like an investigative god.

There's only one God, but since we're talking about investigations... honestly, that should be left to the people who actually do it for a living—journalists and actual investigative agencies. That's the only way anything would ever get done. The rest of us can just sit here on forums yapping until Judgment Day for all it matters... But while this two-headed monster keeps swapping power with the support of their little political local youth soccer club, nothing's gonna change. Nothing. I don't expect a damn thing from journalists or politicians, now or in the foreseeable future.
And while we're on the subject of society and soccer.
Unless we, the people of this "less-than-ideal nation that used to be part of the Soviet Union," finally catch on to what's happening step by step and actually react once—maybe even while we're still around—nothing changes. Over the last five years, people have started to realize some things; half the topics and questions from today's show wouldn't have even been mentioned five years ago... but man, give it another five years and maybe we'll understand a bit more. And hopefully enough that people finally snap. If they ever do. Because if absolute nonsense like Orjuna 😵 is still being treated as a legitimate topic, especially among certain veterans or religious circles, when the contradictions are so massive you could see them from an airplane—what else can you even expect?
The war was clearly just one incredible anomaly in the history of the American consciousness, and it's obviously pretty hard to replicate. After that, it feels like the whole country just deflated like a popped balloon and lost its momentum.
Chicago Blackhawks fans in Fans ·
Look, I’m not gonna go overboard here. But honestly, looking at how things have been going lately with Z-M, today felt like a turning point. We had a massive amount of initial questions and video clips thrown out there—way more topics than usual—and it clearly caught him off guard. He was looking pretty uncomfortable, having to resort to shouting and aggressive rhetoric just to keep things under control.
Who else was expecting something different? If you were looking for more, you’re asking way too much from Nu2. Personally, I was bracing myself for a total train wreck where the guest would just steamroll the whole thing, but that didn't even happen during that first, tedious half hour.

Look, you don't need to go bringing dead mothers into this... the editor probably just lost his mind for whatever reason...
Then again, when you've got people who don't give a damn about the actual details of the game—missing half the story (there are plenty of them, maybe even Miklenić)—combined with folks who are thirsty for conspiracy theories and obsessed with anything involving political red tape, it’s easy to fall asleep on those "confidential sources" claiming certain big shots are sharpening their knives again.
And hey, it’s probably not totally baseless to mention which party is running the show over at US Soccer; there's definitely a crowd out there that loves seeing things politicized like this. This whole spin job and cheap political baiting has been dragging on for years. No matter how obvious it looks to us, some people still bite that hook and blow their own trumpets. It doesn't really matter if they're doing it out of pure naivety like most people, or if it's calculated. One thing is for sure, nobody ever gets worked up about it for nothing. Everyone knows their own path, and if you're actually trying to stay on the right track, everything will work out in the end.

And as for you acting all shocked about this being published, maybe it’s news to you, but people have been pointing out who his lawyer was here and everywhere else for years now. I highly doubt most people—even the local reporters—are finding this to be some massive revelation.
