Stomach issues - help! in Health ·
Well, I am certainly not the only one dealing with this! 🙂
The heartburn can get so incredibly intense—honestly, so violent—that I feel like I could strike myself over the head with something just to make the sensation stop... It is truly unbearable. I have tried just about everything at this point—currently, I am relying on Tums tablets, though Pepcid used to work quite well for me. Baking soda is my absolute last resort, strictly for when I am in total desperation and nothing else is available.

That being said, I am fully aware that this has been dragging on far too long, and eventually, I am going to have to face the music—schedule a specialist appointment, undergo a gastroscopy, the whole ordeal...

I am curious if anyone here has actually gone through a gastroscopy and can tell me what the experience is really like. To be perfectly honest, the whole thing sounds absolutely terrifying!
Back in high school, I had a close friend who dealt with this exact same phobia. It honestly lasted for maybe a year and a half before she finally felt comfortable enough—if you can even call it that—to give me her phone number. We aren't just talking about a little bit of awkwardness or feeling slightly uneasy here... this was a legitimate, paralyzing fear. For her, it was a massive, genuine obstacle to basic social interaction.

Chicken noodle soup recipe in Health ·
There is only one thing regarding this chili recipe:

DELICIOUS!!! I am absolutely obsessed with this chili! It’s insane! I honestly can’t put my finger on why, but it is just so incredibly good—I feel like I could eat it for every single meal. Of course, some of you are probably going to think I’ve completely lost my mind. Honestly? You might be right... 🙂

My father has dealt with temperature sensitivity his entire life. It’s not that he’s just "always cold" or anything like that...
The issue is that whenever he hits a cold snap, his skin breaks out in these pale, reddish, raised bumps. It happens most frequently when he's at the beach—usually triggered by the cold water—or when there's a biting wind during the winter. After a short while, they just vanish as if they were never there. Back when he was younger, this was a massive source of insecurity for him, though nowadays he doesn't let it get to him quite as much.

I was wondering if anyone else here has dealt with something similar? What exactly is going on biologically, and is there any way to actually suppress or cure this...

Best,
