Frank had a cake from Sugar Land once...
Personally, I find their pastries delicious... they're just pretty pricey.

Look, they might not be your cup of tea, but they worked for me. A few other girls mentioned they could really taste the margarine in some of their cakes, but I lucked out—I didn't notice it at all...
They were incredibly kind to me, which was a huge factor in my decision. Honestly, after dealing with Charlotte and those "reasonable" prices of theirs, these guys actually made my day a little easier.
says: 😕 I’ve actually never even been there. I was just asking if that was the spot. A friend of mine lives in that neighborhood.
My bad, sorry! I got mixed up... someone mentioned they tried the pastries there and didn't really care for them, so I assumed you were talking about yourself... sorry about that...
The cookies are typically priced at $33/lb, though if you're picking up more than 33 lbs, the rate drops to $28/lb—which works out to $30 if you agree to use their specific scales.

They are.. and look, I know you weren't exactly thrilled with their pastries, but honestly, if I'm being fair, I haven't actually had any issues with them myself.

At Emma, I actually got to sample their treats twice... and when I was picking out flavors for my cake, they gave me a little piece of every single one.
So, when it comes to Emma, I can say they’re absolutely top-tier.
I ended up ordering everything from EM... and while maybe some of you didn't care for their pastries, I honestly can't find anything to complain about when it comes to their cakes. When we were finalizing the flavor profiles, they actually provided us with a full tasting spread of all the cakes, so I really can't say they lack professionalism... plus, they went out of their way to accommodate my specific requests regarding the design, since I have some pretty set ideas for how I want the cake to look.
Nathan Cox25, it’s funny how Vincent acts like such a saint when he's dealing with Charlotte... I mean, if you're looking at a cake for roughly 200 people over at Charlotte, you're looking at somewhere between $4,500 and $5,000, and honestly, some places charge upwards of $6,000. So, if anyone actually enjoys those prices, be my guest...
When I first heard that number, I nearly fell right out of my chair.
I’m planning on picking up about 75 pounds of pastries... though for the sake of being safe, I'll probably aim for closer to 65. I was told that serving about 5 or 6 ounces per person is more than enough to keep everyone satisfied.
I haven't personally had any bad experiences with Emma, so I can't really say I agree with you all... though of course, there's always a chance things could go sideways. That said, their cakes are absolutely incredible, so they'll probably be my top choice.
Here’s an update from Emma over in that small town in the US..
A kilogram of assorted pastries costs $33 for orders under 15kg. For anything over 15kg, it’s $30/kg if Emma agrees to use their plates—otherwise, it’ll be $28/kg if a restaurant or hotel insists on using their own..

A pound of cookies costs $28 if they aren't arranged on a tray, but if you want them presented nicely on a platter, it's $30. Between you and me, though, a pound of treats usually goes for $30..
We finally pulled the trigger on Emma... and honestly, I’m done looking. When you break it down, the price at Sugarland is basically the same as Emma, except at Sugarland I’d have to buy my own trays just to have them stack the cookies on. With Emma, those are already included in the price.
Daniel Smith8, that’s exactly why I can't justify making the trip out to Sacramento just to sample those pastries... or even planning to swing by later to pick some up for baking projects.
It’s definitely more affordable than what you see elsewhere... but just like Zvrki mentioned, there's always that chance he'll hike up the prices once the business gets established.
