No need to change anything. But how can you actually tell if someone is HIV-positive?

I honestly think we shouldn't let high-risk groups donate blood.
The risk is just way too high.
Especially since an HIV test is really just checking for antibodies,
which don't even show up until a while after someone gets infected!

I'm gay and I donate blood regularly every three months. I sign that doctor's waiver without a second thought, because at the end of the day, I feel like I'm doing something good.

You’re missing a huge distinction here.
Spending on yourself versus spending on others.
Sure, we should discourage people from poisoning themselves,
but why on earth would we ban them from poisoning everyone else?
