It’s actually quite effective for managing diabetes, too. Which, honestly, works out perfectly for me.
Health inspection results in Health ·
It’s handled at every local county health clinic; they provide the collection containers, and if my memory serves me right, there isn't even a charge for it. Regarding the sample itself—don't feel pressured to fill the entire container, which holds about 0.5 mL, essentially just one small vial. And there is absolutely no need to stress. You are legally required to complete the sanitary screening within 48 hours of receiving notice that you've been referred.
Are "light" cigarettes actually any safer? in Health ·
In my estimation, nothing quite beats a standard, unfiltered cigarette—the kind made without all those unnecessary perfumes or synthetic additives. There’s this pervasive delusion that ultralight versions are somehow better, but they really just trick you into inhaling more aggressively, which forces the smoke much deeper into your lungs. It's a similar trap with menthol; the menthol opens up your airways, making everything go even deeper into the system.

Look, you should probably go get your blood sugar checked out, and specifically those triglyceride levels too.

Just eat it: just go ahead and eat it. It’s really that simple.
How to gain weight? in Health ·
You're still quite young, dear child; you'll have plenty of time left to actually put everything you've learned into practice.

Family history of cancer in Health ·
Money isn't my primary concern—I mean, even the medications for Parkinson's haven't been exactly cheap, though I did manage to scrape together a few bucks during this recent, grueling seven-month deployment to Afghanistan. What really gets to me is the distance. Here I am working in New York City, my brother is all the way across the country with his family, and our elderly parents are somewhere else entirely. It's hard being so scattered.
Family history of cancer in Health ·
To all start with, this looks incredibly grim to me. Here’s my reasoning:

- we have one patient dealing with advanced Parkinson's
- then the caregiver for that Parkinson's patient is diagnosed with cancer
- and now, a second family member is also coming down with cancer.

Given all that, what's your take on how this looks?

How does one actually come to terms with the reality of a close family member being diagnosed with cancer?
How do you deal with that truth, and everything else that inevitably follows in its wake?
Herbalife thoughts? in Health ·
Kate Mendoza37 said:About $110 on their supplements. (That’s roughly what a single dose of this stuff goes for in New York City)

Look, if anything, that price tag actually forces you to stay disciplined and actually use the products. What's the point of buying something—especially if it's cheaper—just to let it collect dust on a shelf somewhere? If you're going to drop serious cash, you might as well make sure you're putting in the work to actually see some results for it.

I know plenty of others who fell into that same trap... sure, it helps you shed the pounds, but keeping them off? That’s the hard part. Maybe one needs to be more disciplined, or perhaps stick to Herbalife for another six months? I don't have the definitive answer, but my own experience certainly isn't something I'd suggest to anyone else!

It’s because you didn't follow the maintenance phase. For what it's worth, Herbalife works for gaining weight too. My mother—who has been dealing with some serious health issues—actually lost 9 precious pounds during her stay at the hospital. Using Herbalife, she managed to put those 7 pounds right back on. As for me, I just got out of surgery for gallbladder stones, and my entire diet is centered around Herbalife.

Typically, the Herbalife maintenance phase lasts just as long as the initial weight loss phase. The difference between using it to lose weight versus using it to gain weight really just comes down to the specific combination and the frequency of the servings.
