Is tap water safe to drink? in Health ·
Even the one straight from the factory isn't the same as a flashed one.

Angela Wright said:Come visit me! I live in a massive apartment complex in Washington, D.C. with 700 other people. It’s the same situation at my friend's place in Brooklyn—everywhere there are lead pipes...

That is possible. However, I have yet to see red scale, even in the oldest buildings, let alone the newer ones like mine.

Which balm?

I understand, but I don't believe that is actually a common occurrence.

Angela Wright said:The tap water provided by the utility company is high quality. Their official reports state the composition matches premium bottled water. However, I find the chlorine levels too high. You can notice the taste after leaving a glass out for 15 or 20 minutes. It is unpleasant. Old lead pipes also degrade the quality. This is most noticeable in the bathtub where buildup takes on a reddish tint. As far as I know, Brita filters only soften the water. Generally, water with higher mineral content is superior.
I personally drink bottled water when I am in NYC, but I drink tap water when I am in Miami. In my opinion, Miami water is the best in the US.

I am in Washington, D.C. and have never noticed red buildup. The water quality is decent. It may not be the best in the country, but it is acceptable.

It is a proven fact that the water near St. John and Jackson is the best. People in that area have water that is as pure as Jane.

Austin Sanders7 said:...you're mistaken...my scalp specialist told me personally that washing hair every day isn't an issue; it doesn't make it get greasy faster...

Naturally. It is actually recommended. Leaving oil and dirt on the hair by avoiding washing only causes more damage and leads to hair loss. Using a mild shampoo causes no harm if you wash daily.
Sam Kim12 said:polycystic ovaries🙄 . I dealt with those for a long time. Once I stopped taking birth control, my ovaries went haywire👍 . I had similar symptoms, so it is possible because hormones are powerful. Trust your gynecologist, unless you had intercourse recently and are unsure👍
If you are truly skeptical of your doctor, go to a private clinic for a beta HCG test to get a clear answer👍 (you can get it done there and it costs about $50 http://www.questdiagnostics.com)

Thank you. I bought another test since my doctor isn't available until tomorrow afternoon.

My results are as follows:

The uterus is normal in size with a thin endometrial lining.
Both ovaries appear normal in size but look polyfollicular.

Can someone interpret this, specifically the part regarding the endometrial lining?
Sam Kim12 said:Of course it can. They will certainly check both the ovaries and the uterus. The uterus is quite small, roughly the size of a walnut, so even the slightest change shows up on an ultrasound. You can also see the corpus luteum on the ovary.👍, and the corpus luteum is visible on the ovary.🙂

I had an ultrasound, and the diagnosis was PCOS. He didn't even mention pregnancy. He just noted I was mid-cycle, which he likely would have mentioned if I were pregnant. I am asking because all my tests are negative, yet I feel pregnant. I have all the symptoms and I am gaining weight without changing my diet. My stomach is rounding out and growing, which feels strange. My gynecologist won't run a test because he claims I can't be pregnant if I still have my period and the tests are negative.
If you undergo a pelvic ultrasound, can a doctor detect a pregnancy even if they aren't specifically looking for one because it isn't the primary reason for the scan?
Sam Kim12 said:You don't need an OBGYN to confirm a pregnancy. Just take a blood test and you will have your answer within an hour.🙂

When I went to my doctor to get a referral for that hormone test, she simply asked me, "Which beta? "

I have never had an issue with them. They are certainly a better option than glasses; I never understood people who work out while wearing them...

The only thing I can link this to is taking Yasmin birth control. Has anyone else experienced side effects like this? Is it possible the pills are causing it?

It is possible.
Okay, Mandy, thanks for getting back to me.
Does the sensation of burping originate in the stomach or does it come from the throat?
When does nausea typically begin, and how long does it last?

Does this involve actual vomiting, or is it just that feeling of wanting to throw up without being able to?
Evidence that Dr. Miller was right. You all mentioned having PCOS issues.
Dr. Miller says it is fine. Many others have told me the same thing. My period usually starts on day 12 and lasts about six days, sometimes stretching to seven, and they used to be painful. Women with these types of cycles often deal with PCOS and fertility struggles. That is not true for everyone, of course, but it is the general rule. This isn't just one person's opinion either. There you go.
How reliable are pregnancy tests? Timing also matters—does it make a difference if they are taken before or after a missed period?
