Hey there. Does anyone know if it's possible to deal with some nervousness and maybe just getting about four hours of sleep if you took a hard hit to the head earlier? I didn't lose consciousness and there was no concussion, plus the neurological exam came back totally fine... just a bit of a cut from the nurse. Could those symptoms at the start actually be caused by the impact?

Just a +1?
I don't get it. I'm here trying to show support, rooting for this community, and wishing everyone nothing but better days and easier nights... and all I get back is a +1?
So much for good intentions, I guess.
At least give me a +3.☕

It's such a shame you can't hold down a job...
Good luck to you all, though. Living with mental illness is tough.
If you could actually work, maybe try some odd jobs? It’s hard when you're sleeping all day,
but please, try to do something for yourself. Good luck.

It’s never too late to realize you were wasting your time training in TKW... you finally wake up and see there's just no real payoff in practicing it.
Regarding that sport... just look at the clips on YouTube comparing boxing to TKW. If you actually have the drive and the desire, it's pretty obvious.

I ended up getting most hooked on Misar and Normabel; I used to take 30 mg of Normabel and 1.5 mg of Misar just to get some sleep.
Ouch. That’s a nasty dose (30 mg).
How are you feeling now? What kind of meds and dosages are you on currently?
Are things getting any better?👍

Hey everyone, this might be a bit off-topic, but I wasn't really sure where else to go with this...
I'm looking to sell some old Yugoslavian dinar—specifically paper bills:
(a 500 dinar note from 1981, a 100 dinar note from 1986, and a 50 dinar note from 1968)
along with some coins (100 and 50 dinar pieces from 1988, plus a 10 dinar coin from 1980)
Does anyone know where I could list these, and what they might actually be worth?
Should I just head down to the Federal Reserve?
Thanks in advance for any help...

Frank Campbell said:Whenever I take 0.5mg of Xanax—whether it’s under the brand name Miser or Helix—it knocks me out so deeply that I wake up feeling light as a feather. I don't take it every day, just once in a while. During the day, I might take one or two 0.25mg doses, because if I go up to 0.5mg, I'll end up nodding off mid-afternoon!
So, my daily total usually tops out at 1mg of Xanax. Since the maximum dose is 6mg, it’s pretty clear I’m super sensitive to these meds. Honestly, I count myself lucky; it means I'm not actually in a super dark place since my body reacts so well to them.
You're still doing okay, though. That isn't exactly a dose you should be terrified of yet.
But you'll get used to it and build up a tolerance...
If you're taking about 0.75mg every single day for two months, you're already hooked.
Then it'll move to 1mg a day before you even realize it...
And suddenly you're at 2mg... and so on... it's a vicious cycle.
Just watch yourself...
Take care.
I really need some help here.
I’m heading in tomorrow to get bloodwork done (they specifically asked for
Urea and Creatinine) before my knee MRI.
First question: why on earth would they need those levels for an MRI?
Second question: I had
one shot of brandy at 7 PM. Is there any chance that will show up
on the blood test (as alcohol)
since I'm getting drawn tomorrow morning at 8 AM?
Thanks in advance.

It’s hard to see the Italians losing tonight. Honestly, can you even imagine that happening?☕
In my opinion, that was a tough one. A real grind. Not exactly the kind of game you'd call "exciting," right?
Pure magic.
To me, Schalke and Bayern are just the purest teams out there...😛
It happened...☕
Chelsea X?☕
Did you see what Bate Borisov did? He basically crushed 90% of the bettors at the sportsbook. How does someone even pull that off? It’s wild.🤷

It seems unlikely the Italians will drop the ball tonight.☕
In my opinion, this is going to be a tough one—really hard to call.
Maybe
To me, Shakhtar and Bayern are easily the cleanest teams in the mix......................😛

Michelle Evans said:It isn't unusual at all for different treatments to be prescribed for the same diagnosis. Whether it's schizophrenia, depression, or anything else—treatment is highly individualized. Every body reacts differently, so doctors look for whatever works best to keep symptoms under control for that specific person.
It’s also perfectly normal for medication to change over time if the current regimen stops being effective.
Psychiatry doesn't really rely solely on conversation; I'm not sure who told you that... 🤷
If someone is in an acute phase, talking might not even help much until what you call "drowning them in pills" actually brings them to a functional state—reducing hallucinations, delusions, and so on.
In American psychiatric facilities, there are group therapies, occupational therapies, and plenty of other resources meant to aid recovery. If they aren't involved yet, they likely will be eventually.
The group and occupational therapies at the state hospital are just
for show, just enough so they can say
that they exist... there, you're just a number swallowing pills,
smelling bad, passing gas, and sleeping most of the day... everyone is just playing along,
what kind of occupational therapy is that... it's just a cosmetic term.

I have a question... I have two friends living in a facility near Chicago with
a diagnosis of schizophrenia. One of them is taking Haldol
and Zyprexa, while the other is on Prozac and Moditen... how does that work?
Same diagnosis, but totally different treatments...
For the first guy, this is only his third time being admitted, but the second one is already on his sixth hospitalization...
Psychiatry seems to rely so much on just talking, but honestly, they just
"drown you in pills." Does anyone actually ask about patient rights
or their actual health?
Doctors act like gods, and patients? We're just lab rats...
Does anyone have any insight on this...? please ..
I'm heading in tomorrow, and honestly, I have no idea what to expect...

Hey there.
I need some advice... I live in Chicago.
I've had the same primary doctor for 10 years here in Chicago.
I only see her occasionally when I need something specific—blood work, urine tests, referrals, various checkups, stuff like that.
The usual routine...
But recently, I was down by the coast and my back seized up so hard I couldn't even get out of bed. They took me to a general practitioner out there in Sibenik... they gave me an injection and prescribed Tramadol and Praxiten. They told me that since everything is on our computer system,
they just wrote me an e-prescription and uploaded the meds for me.
That was back in February. I went back for a follow-up two weeks later and mentioned I had to head back to Chicago. She went ahead and wrote me another box of Praxiten and more Tramadol. She said just pick them up in Chicago once
you run out. She told me to take one Praxiten before bed and use the Tramadol as needed if my spine or neck starts acting up again.
If things don't improve, she said to check in with my regular doctor in Chicago.
So now I'm back in Chicago, and the pain hit me again. Things were fine for three months, but
now it's starting all over again...
On Tuesday, I'm planning to go see "my" doctor in Chicago...
My question is: Is she still officially my doctor? Like,
am I still listed in her digital records as her patient?
Am I still under her care, even though those doctors in Sibenik
entered me into their system as their patient and issued
prescriptions to me?
Is there any chance my doctor will turn me away once she sees in the system
that I was seeing someone in Sibenik?
Can she just continue treating me regardless
of what happened in Sibenik? Or do I need to call the clinic there and
deregister myself so I'm not their patient anymore, since I'm back in Chicago?
And so on...
Maybe this is a silly question, but I honestly DON'T KNOW, and I'm worried that
on Tuesday in Chicago, I'll show up only to be turned away at the door.🤷

Kenneth Scott41 said:I’m curious to hear about everyone's experiences with antidepressants. Which ones have you actually tried? Which ones worked well for you, and which ones were just a total waste of time? I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts on this.🙂😁
I've cycled through quite a few myself—Prozac, Effexor, Lexapro, Luvox, Zoloft, though I won't go through an exhaustive list... but if I had to say, my best experiences were definitely with Lexapro and then Effexor.
There’s just no such thing as "the best"...
Everyone’s different, right? What works for one person might not work at all for someone else. For some, it’s Prozac.
It’s all relative, isn't it? For one person, Paxil might be a total nightmare, while for someone else, it’s a complete lifesaver. It really just depends on the individual.
On my own... the usual stuff.
