That stuff comes with Haldol, Moditen, and Prazine.
The absolute worst pill ever. It makes you feel totally manic... just stay far away from it. You'll start thinking you're some kind of superhero and try to
jump off a five-story building, or you'll get this delusional idea that
you're some kind of prince who's gonna
go out and kiss frogs just to find the love of your life... listen to him, talking about AKINETON👎!👎👎👎

Steven Kim3 said:If you’re actually planning on stepping into the ring for competitions, you better be prepared to train consistently for at least two years, because if you don't, you're just going to get absolutely wrecked.

It doesn't strictly have to be two years...
If you find a high-quality Muay Thai school and
train three times a week—plus getting some solid sparring in—you could actually head to a lower-level competition
after maybe 7 or 8 months.
That is, if you've got the talent and you're actually dedicated to the grind.👍
You wouldn't be jumping straight into the National Championships. You'd go to some local club tournament
designed specifically for beginners. Kind of like an amateur "novice bout" night in boxing...🙂

Between 3.5 and 4 meters.

Emily Reyes7 said:I am generally not the type of person to get worked up over someone else's personal drama if it doesn't impact my own life directly. I am more than happy to offer practical advice whenever I have the expertise to do so, but other people's struggles rarely pierce my emotional armor. Yet, for some reason, I find myself deeply unsettled by the problems of a certain friend.

The individual in question is someone I met online, living overseas. He is sixteen years old and dealing with severe family dysfunction. I honestly cannot wrap my head around why his domestic situation is hitting me this hard. It’s baffling; my own father’s issues at work or having a sick relative in the family don't provoke nearly this much internal turmoil. I have offered this friend an endless stream of guidance, but he refuses to take any meaningful action to improve his circumstances. Instead, he remains obsessively preoccupied with how his mother feels—a woman who, frankly, hasn't earned a shred of his sympathy. It feels as though he is some kind of masochist who finds a strange sort of comfort in his own suffering. I desperately want to wash my hands of the whole thing, but every time I picture the chaos in his household, I feel a surge of frustration.

Please, spare me the suggestions on what to advise him; based on everything I know about him, nothing I say will make a lick of difference. I am simply searching for the WHY. Why does the struggle of someone halfway across North America affect me so profoundly when it has absolutely zero bearing on my reality? How can I stop letting this get under my skin? How do I learn to view this situation with total detachment, as if it were some fictional tragedy that has nothing to do with me?

Thank you in advance.

They really did take them down, haha.🙂🙂
I'm finding this pretty entertaining... kind of tense, too.👍

steelmarlin75 said:I felt much the same way, honestly; there are certainly far better horror films out there with much stronger atmospheres and more gripping plots. I suppose I might just be setting my expectations too high for the genre, but this one didn't really manage to spook me.

But isn't the main goal of a horror movie more than JUST to scare you? There are plenty of other
elements that make a film truly great...
Of course, that's just how I see it.👍

He's easily the best pound-for-pound fighter out there right now...
I mean, just look at what he did to De La Hoya and Hatton...
And I won't even get started on the rest of them...👍

Can't stop the anxiety :( in Psychology ·
wiredmarlin29;19382033 said:Hey everyone, sending my best to all of you!

I'm new here. I finally decided to sign up because I have this overwhelming need to talk to someone about this "state" I've been in—it just won't let me go.
I'm 20. A sophomore in college. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with my studies, but I don't hate them either. I don't think school is the cause of my problems.
Back in my junior year of high school, I started feeling this occasional sense of hopelessness. These bouts of depression would hit for a few days and then fade, until they didn't. Eventually, those few days turned into a constant presence in my head.
Two years ago, something happened that shook me to my core. It was a realization that changed everything. I tried to work through it with someone very close to me, weighing the evidence for and against what I had heard from them... I spent so much time and energy trying to force myself to see things positively and just believe them.
I think that was the trigger. It just accelerated everything. Since then, I've found it harder and harder to trust my family or anything else in my life.

I've been in a relationship for two years now. We've had our ups and downs like anyone else, but we love each other. Before him, I was in a three-year relationship during high school that ended terribly. I dealt with threats, being followed around town, manic phone calls... ever since then, my tolerance is incredibly low. I snap easily out of fear that someone might treat me like that again.

In that old relationship, I suppressed so much of myself. Now, all of it is coming back through my dreams and these intrusive thoughts. For my age, I feel like I've lived through a lifetime of stuff. I couldn't get out of that relationship at first, but after two years, I finally stood my ground and realized he was unstable. Between that fear, the shock from two years ago, being hyper-sensitive, and my tendency to overanalyze everything... it's taken its toll. I've been falling apart for a year now.

The anxiety is intense. Sometimes it feels like I'm going to crawl out of my own skin. There are moments when my heart races or my chest hurts. I've even had suicidal thoughts. I don't trust anyone. I try to control every single thing around me just so nothing slips away again. I've become a total control freak. It’s scary. If a friend calls me spontaneously to hang out and I haven't planned to go out—even if I have nothing else scheduled—I'll stay home. I have so many more examples, but I'll stop there before this post gets too long. I'm constantly wondering what people are thinking or how they're feeling. I went through a phase where I thought it would be better if I just disappeared, so my family could breathe easier...

Beginner question: How do I choose the right sport? in Martial Arts & Combat Sports ·
Scott Garcia10 said:First off, hey everyone! Thanks in advance for all the help and advice you're going to give me.

I’m a total beginner here, but I'm really interested in picking up staff fighting techniques. I've heard about Bojutsu, though I'm not sure if anyone actually practices that around here. My question is: does the Bo staff show up in any other martial arts, and how much is it actually used? I'm planning on starting some kind of martial arts training to get the basics down regardless, but eventually, I'd love to incorporate the Bo.

A couple of quick details: I'm a college student, so I'd prefer joining an older group rather than being stuck training with a bunch of kids. I'm originally from a smaller town but I'm studying in Chicago now, so anywhere in the metro area works for me.

Anyway, thanks again, guys!

I am truly, deeply sad... I want to stop this cycle, but I feel trapped, like it’s become an addiction I can't break. 😢... What's even worse is how much I seem to lean into this pain. It isn't right, and I know people call this behavior weak or cowardly... But honestly? I’m lost. I don't know what to do next. Please, if anyone has advice, I'm listening... Anything helps.

Yeah, you definitely need professional help...
I mean, obviously, assuming this isn't some kind of joke about cutting yourself and drinking way too much Bud Light.
It's an illness...
See a psychiatrist IMMEDIATELY. We can't help you here unless you decide to help yourself...
A psychiatrist... hurry...🙏
