Please explain to me, using actual examples, how exactly some singer like Mitic Miric—or whatever his name is—has any connection to folklore. I just don't get it. Most people I know from other countries are proud of their traditional sounds and play them at every party.
Latinos, Indians, Arabs, Africans, Chinese, Spaniards, Italians, and so on...

But here, we just group our entire musical heritage together and treat it with contempt.
There are also incredibly talented Romani musicians from our neighboring regions whose music foreigners absolutely adore, yet we just label it "primitive."

Just listen to Saban Bajramovica or Esmu Redjepov... they aren't any less talented than Ibrahim Ferrer, Mbilia Bel, or Cesaria Evora.

Where do you live? If they played Buen Vista Social Club at some trendy lounge or downtown spot and a crowd started smashing bottles and shooting guns in the air, I'd probably just go hide in a bunker...

Nobody even mentions Cesaria Evora here.

I downloaded A History of Violence a month ago, but after seeing how it compares to Closer, I think I'll pass...

That Closer is honestly one of the dumbest movies ever made. Barely made it past the 20-minute mark...

Just finished watching Aeon Flux... it was decent... though a bit more nudity, crazy tech, and some solid action wouldn't have hurt...
I also downloaded Underworld II, but haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

As far as I can tell, mine was pretty good...
I don't need much.

I laughed at the bit about the sausages, then the part about the car (the one the parents prefer more)...
though the whole thing about taxing animals is just plain stupid—like taxing deer, or horse genitalia, or elephant genitalia, and all that nonsense.
