HPV vaccine discussion in Women's Health ·
Megan Peterson87 said:I’m trying to warn people about some of the more dangerous STIs. Besides, basically every woman ends up with HPV at some point after her first sexual encounter.

Hmm... let's not get carried away here.🙂
A doctor once told me—back when I actually suggested bringing
my boyfriend in for testing because it was pretty obvious I had caught
HPV from him: "Why even bother testing him if he's never
had any genital warts? It doesn't matter who gave what to whom; if he
gets it but has a strong immune system, his body will just clear the virus out."

That was honestly the last time I ever stepped foot in her office.

After getting fed up with my previous gynecologist,
I finally "discovered" Dr. Ljubojevic at
the Ginoderma clinic over on Vlaska Street—everyone keeps raving about him, and honestly, I get the hype. The guy is FANTASTIC and worth
every single penny. He’s a top-tier specialist, specifically focused on HPV, and during the exam,
they actually have this video monitor showing you exactly what he’s doing via a built-in camera. It’s pretty cool.
He cleared up my low-risk HPV, so now I’m feeling totally healthy again. 🙂 🙂

$183 ?!?
They really cleaned you out ....
The average cost for an exam and all that paperwork is usually around $250$100 at a private clinic in the States.

Mirjana1 said:He’s the best, but honestly, Dr. Ljubejović is your guy. He runs his own private clinic over on 91 Vlaška Street. I paid about $100 for my Pap smear, but man, he is worth every single cent.🙂

See, I’ve heard great things about him, and from what I gather,
the clinic where he works (is it Ginoderma?) has basically become a specialist hub for
all that HPV-related nonsense. So, here's my question: do you know if they offer testing
for other STDs besides the HPV tests, Pap smears, and standard exams? Or is that really all they focus on...

Look, at the end of the day, you're a pretty decent person, so that's really all that matters to me.
My partner is actually quite sweet, so I definitely wouldn't let him
take a look at 🙂
screw you for suggesting a gynecologist like that
just go find a real specialist instead.

Look, I’m definitely not some medical expert here. Everything I’m saying comes strictly from my own
personal observations and what I've learned along the way 🙂 🙂
So, when it comes to your face, honestly, your best bet is to find a solid dermatologist who
can actually figure out why your skin is acting up like this, and then they can prescribe
the right cream or whatever else you might need
Right now, I just wash with plain water—before all this mess started, I used to use Lactacyd
which is actually a great product, but it ended up irritating me. My doctor even told me to stop using it
because apparently, my skin is sensitive enough to react to those little fragrances they add
to products just so they don't smell weird. There's always a bit of chemistry involved in all that stuff,
so it's probably not helping. For me, sticking to just water & chamomile has been the winning combo.

Oh, and I totally forgot to mention this,
my doctor actually BANNED me from shaving for at least a month!!!
It’s honestly such a nightmare for us women😉 , but he insisted that using a razor
is basically death for that sensitive area (not just the bikini line, but... you know, down there)🙂

If everything else feels normal, you’re probably looking at an allergic reaction
to something—go see your OB-GYN and bring this up directly so they can run
some tests. In the meantime, maybe take a break from sex if you think it's the condoms.
Also, try rinsing twice a day, stick strictly to cotton underwear, and just use plain water when you wash up.
Basically, you need to do everything possible to strip away potential allergens.
On another note, there’s this one great cream—it’s a little on the greasy side, but it’s for external use
and really helps with that feeling of "tightness," sensitivity, redness, and all that stuff.
Look for some Linoleum fett$30 at the pharmacy and apply it twice a day.
Personally, when I dealt with similar issues, rinsing with chamomile tea
before applying the cream made a huge difference for me.
But seriously, make sure you get a professional opinion from your doctor first.

I’d say run another swab and get it under a microscope just to see if we're dealing with fungus
or bacteria. You might also want to get a urine analysis done to rule out
any bacterial infections entirely. If that doesn't yield anything, maybe look into
some allergy testing—who knows, you could be reacting to latex in condoms, or even the detergent in
your laundry soap, or some other cleaning products....

Has anyone here actually used the VIROGENA clinic or seen Dr. Doric before?
I find myself scrolling through their website quite a bit—they have this really solid Q&A section
where the doctor answers all sorts of questions. Lately, though,
I’ve been pretty unhappy with my current gynecologist (private practice too), so I'm thinking about
booking an appointment and getting some tests done over there...
If anyone's been in, please let me know what the experience was like.
Broken humerus in Health ·
I know a few basketball players who take glucosamine sulfate on the regular just to stay ahead of the game when it comes to
bone and joint health. I mean, I assume it helps speed up recovery too, right?
Look, don't quote me on that though—I'm hardly an expert...

My two cents? Just head straight to the ER...
I swear, you might be sitting there for a few hours, but at least they’ll actually
give you a thorough exam...
Changes to my lips in Health ·
So, I think I finally cracked the mystery of those little spots on my lip...
A few days ago, I came down with strep throat—probably just because my immune system took a massive hit
lately—and it triggered about four spots on my bottom lip and two on the top...
When I asked my doctor what was going on, the first thing she did was check if
I'd been to the dentist recently. I told her I had an appointment a couple
months back, and that's right around when they started popping up... She thinks it's some kind of inflammation
of the lip, possibly fungal, though she wasn't 100% sure (definitely not herpes)
and apparently, people pick stuff up at the dentist all the time if you're using shared equipment or whatever..
anyways, she put me on some Garamycin ointment for ten days and told me to use tea tree oil too...
fingers crossed it actually works...

Honestly, I don't think it's just a vitamin deficiency either...
but man, I wish it was, because that would be the most incredibly simple
reason 🙂
I can tell it isn't contagious though, since my boyfriend hasn't "caught" it
from me—I try my best not to kiss him when that little spot pops up, but
sometimes that’s just asking for trouble 😁
Changes to my lips in Health ·
So, I heard someone suggest this might just be a vitamin deficiency...
I actually started taking those Centrum multivitamins from Walgreens about two weeks ago, so I'm already on it.
I've also been sipping on some aloe vera to help boost my immune system...fingers crossed it actually does something useful. 🙂
But look, if I end up seeing my doctor and they actually give me some real insight, I'll definitely share
it with you guys, of course. 🙂
Changes to my lips in Health ·
I’m glad I’m not the only one dealing with this, but honestly, it feels kind of ridiculous
to have to walk into my doctor's office, point at this tiny little spot on my lip
and ask her what on earth it is. But I think I’ll have to, because it’s driving me absolutely insane...
Yesterday, the exact same little speck popped up on my upper lip too
it's gross....
what the fuck is that??? 😕
Headache help! in Health ·
hmmm, that doesn't sound exactly harmless... if I were you, I'd give my doctor a call
ASAP... just to be safe... better safe than sorry, right? 🙂
I get those headaches too; they usually kick in during the afternoon and aren't even
that painful, they're just incredibly annoying. I can get through my day, but I still feel that
pressure in my head... anyway, my blood pressure is naturally low and I'm a bit anemic
so I usually just chalk it up to that...
Changes to my lips in Health ·
So, here’s the deal. For the last few months, every couple of weeks or so,
I keep getting this tiny little
reddish spot on my lower lip—kind of like a small red dot appearing
on any part of my lip, just slightly darker than my usual skin tone.
Sometimes, this little circle actually develops
a microscopic pimple (honestly, I feel ridiculous even
writing this 🙂), though not always.
It literally pops up out of nowhere overnight and then vanishes within
a few days because I’ve been slathering calendula salve on it (I have no idea
what else works, so I haven't really tried anything else).
I don't think it's herpes since there's no itching, tingling, blisters, or scabbing,
but I’m honestly stumped. My lips are usually pretty "healthy," and
I make sure they don't get chapped or anything.

If anyone has an idea of what this could be, or if you've
dealt with something similar, please let me know.
Weight loss pills: Do they actually work? in Health ·
Honestly, those birth control pills are amazing. You might notice your appetite ramping up during the first month, but
you can totally get that under control pretty quickly, and then it’s a solid 🙂
for me. 🙂I actually ended up putting on a few pounds myself because I couldn't stop snacking,
and now I’m at the point where I’d love to drop a few pounds—both for someone else and just for myself.
In my opinion, the pills shouldn't really cause any issues here.
