Walter Carter28 said:Does anyone actually know how long or how often I should be using Canesten? Like, can you overdo it if you apply it too much or for way too many days in a row? Also, is there a risk of building up some kind of resistance to it?

If you don't use it correctly, you could end up building up a resistance..
It’s probably best to stick to a three-week course..
The more you overdo it, the more questionable it gets because of that resistance issue..
Also, if you aren't using the vaginal suppositories—at least during that first week—the cream probably won't do much. Since the infection is actually inside the vaginal canal, those suppositories are really the primary treatment. The cream is mostly just meant to soothe the irritation on the external labia.🙂
Dust mite allergy help needed in Health ·
I'm with ironsurfer8 on this one..
Dust mites are microscopic, and they mostly just feed on dead skin cells. You’ve basically lived with them since the day you were born and you'll die with them. Right now, you probably have millions or even billions of them on you..
Usually, they aren't a problem unless you suffer from allergies. For allergy sufferers, the issue is typically when they attach themselves to dust particles—that combination of pollen or dust plus the mite is what causes the irritation..
If you're actually feeling a physical bite, it might be ear mites, or if you have pets, it could be fleas. It’s hard to tell the difference if you aren't experienced..
Then again, you could also deal with bed bugs, stink bugs, ants, or other similar pests invading your living space..
So, it's time to take action..

I suspect it might be fleas, because their life cycle really picks up during these warmer days, and they breed at an incredible rate. You almost don't see them in the winter since larval development depends so much on the outside temperature..
It doesn't even matter if there's a pet inside with you—what matters is whether they've been there or if there's a way for them to get into at least one part of your home. For instance, if your room is above a garage where cats hang out, a flea could easily jump through a window (they can leap about 4 to 5 feet in the air)
Time to call in the exterminators and get this handled..

If you happen to speak English...🙂

goldenviper93 said:No need to be quite so harsh 😘 I’m well aware of how bacteria, viruses, and fungi work 😎 I’ve been struggling with this for so long that I feel like an expert on candidiasis... I know all the ins and outs, the causes, the symptoms, everything

Basically, ever since I started taking iron, vitamins, Lactogyn, folic acid, and using tea tree vaginal suppositories + applying Canesten externally morning and night + wearing loose, comfy clothes + sticking to a balanced diet high in iron and vitamins (mostly just greens) 🤣 , things have changed
.
🙂 I think the main culprits for me were a weak immune system, long courses of antibiotics, stress, junk food... sweets... but I feel like I'm finally on the right track to beating this... hopefully for good

I struggled with this for a pretty long time too. It wasn't life-threatening, but it was definitely irritating. Honestly, once you close the loop and get everything in balance, the problems should stop. While I was being careless, those little pests were just waiting for their chance. They still lurk today. Whenever I'm on an antibiotic, I know they're coming, so I prepare myself. Luckily, I haven't taken antibiotics in two years, so there isn't as much of a problem. I constantly nag my doctor about it because I don't believe him when he says it's rare; he claims only about one in ten women shows up to his clinic with normal discharge. But honestly, candidiasis (due to our lifestyle) has become as common as cellulite among women. 😬
If it stays minor, it’s mostly harmless, but it gets dangerous if it spreads deeper or if it persists heavily for a long time.

Sorry if I sound blunt. I'm always posting in these threads, so I've become a bit of a regular. After doing this a hundred times, you kind of start talking like a drill sergeant. 🙂

Once you get past it, prevention is everything. Eating plenty of yogurt and using a probiotic tampon once a week overnight works wonders. And if your immune system is weak, focus on vitamins, getting enough sleep, minimizing stress, and keeping a relatively decent diet (since nobody can eat 100% healthy all the time). 🙂

Skin irritation... in Health ·
So... you're saying it's not necessarily a pathology?
What about swelling during pregnancy? Is that just a hormonal thing?
And why specifically the fingers? Is that where it shows up most clearly?😬
Skin irritation... in Health ·
After some physical activity, or even just a long walk—especially if it's humid out and I'm sweating quite a bit—my fingers tend to swell. It isn't massive, but I can definitely feel and see the difference. My mom deals with swelling in her entire legs, though I haven't had that happen to me yet.
I've started to realize there might be a link between the heat, humidity, and sweating, because I almost never notice any swelling at all during the winter.😬

goldenviper93 said:I've been using the vaginal suppositories for five days now—once in the morning and once at night—and I think I'm finally seeing some improvement. That cottage cheese-like discharge seems to be clearing up.
My full course lasts 15 days (30 suppositories total). After I finish those, I was thinking about using a tampon soaked in acidophilus and garlic. Does anyone have any advice on what to do once this round of treatment is over?

Thanks in advance.

If this keeps coming back constantly, the issue might be internal...
you really have to rule out a bunch of different factors. For starters, hygiene (stick to cotton underwear, cotton pads, and standard toilet paper—don't overdo the cleaning, but don't be messy either)
your clothing choices (avoid tight or synthetic fabrics... try to stay away from thongs as much as possible!)
sexual habits (did you treat your partner for yeast infections? Do you practice anal-vaginal sex or use saliva as lubricant? Frequent condom use? Using improper lubricants?)
immune health (are you under a lot of stress, living an irregular lifestyle, etc.)
other medications (most antibiotics cause fungal infections, and some birth control pills can too)
diet (cut back on the sweets, refined sugars, and heavy carbs! Instead, eat plenty of probiotics and yogurt)

I can't think of everything right now, but there's more..
and honestly, just one of these factors could be enough to trigger Candida or make it a recurring problem..

goldenviper93 said:That boric acid ointment is basically used for rinsing the vaginal area when dealing with chronic vaginitis... I tried using it myself, but I didn't really see any improvement. I guess the same treatment doesn't work for everyone.
You can find more info on experiences with yeast infections here:

I'm praying to God that these vaginal suppositories actually help, because I'm honestly at my wit's end...

Right now, I've been taking Lactogyn every single day for about two months 🙂. I'm also taking iron and vitamins daily. A doctor from Virogena suggested there might be a link between low iron levels—like iron-deficiency anemia—and stubborn yeast infections. It seems like quite a few women who struggled with Candida for a long time had poor blood counts, and they only found relief once they boosted their immunity. It makes sense, I suppose, since Candida tends to strike when your immune system is down.😈
I'm trying to build up my reserves now, since my lab results were actually pretty low.😢

Boric acid kills bacteria in small amounts, not fungi..
And when you wipe out the bacteria down there, it creates an imbalance and gives the fungus room to grow..
See, the good bacteria create an acidic environment that prevents the growth of fungi, which prefer alkaline settings..
So just go ahead and use that ointment if you want.😉
Maybe look into the difference between bacteria, fungi, and viruses first! (That's the basics... you probably won't deal with prions or rickettsia, but everyone should know those three.)

Probably... she would have remembered how excited she got when she called that "soccer player" and asked him to show his mole—which she had carefully prepared by dipping her fingers in her water glass because apparently, the "mole needs to be moist."🤣

Grace Wells78 said:It didn't start out sad, just kind of gross... I almost gagged😬

Anyway, I was dying laughing😬 😬 😬

Yeah... it's both gross and sad how someone can fall for such a delusion
To be fair, her diagnosis isn't that different from the other guests on that talk show, but it's just sad because she genuinely believes everything she says. She doesn't realize everyone is making fun of her... she actually thinks it's all true (that she's the most beautiful, that she's sexy, that she has tons of fans, etc.)
But if you set aside the irony—it's great for a laugh. A few scenes were totally hilarious to me🤣
And her bitterness toward Taylor Swift is pretty funny; every other sentence is some sort of jab at her😬
Every episode starts with her acting all innocent, and ends with her half-dressed in a bra, begging soccer players to pick her up in their Porsches and take her to villas and yachts so she can entertain them. And she's not one of those girls who gets famous by being naked or sleeping her way to the top; she won't admit that, and she claims she invests all her money honestly into her career😉 🙄 🤣

Instead of all that unique energy and the drive to actually change things, everyone just settled into this endless cycle of complaining and playing the victim. It’s all just gossip about who’s out to get whom—a total escape from taking any actual responsibility.

The very first posts really did seem promising.

Man.

👍
I feel the same way. It’s starting to look more like a soap opera where people just moan about fates they created themselves, philosophizing over nothing instead of dealing with reality... I guess it feels like everyone is just overthinking things out of boredom, creating these idealistic, unrealistic ideas that don't really hold up in the real world.

Morgan Long49 said:I have no idea what "crisis years" would even mean for me. For as long as I can remember, I've felt like I'm in a crisis. I still don't even know who I am. I live here in the States, an outsider in a land that doesn't quite fit me... To some people, I'm a radical; to others, I'm a traitor. When I travel, I feel pulled in every direction by different factions, but honestly, I couldn't care less about politics or national identities. I get treated the same way in every area of life... Some people look down on me because they see me as a mess, and I've stopped hanging out with my old crowd because they turned out to be fake and only cared about their own vices. Most people I meet seem incredibly dim, and the ones who think they're brilliant just end up being insufferable. As for finding a guy who actually matches my wavelength? I can't find anyone in my age group or even a few generations older, because everyone else seems mentally inferior or just lacks life experience. But that doesn't leave me feeling unfulfilled or broken like you suggest; if anything, I prefer it this way. While it might be true for most people that it's hardwired into them like you described, there are always exceptions to the rule—there are those of us who simply don't have that instinctual urge to pair up, and the idea of commitment of any kind just feels wrong.

That's just narrow-mindedness...
it's probably best not to dwell on it..
To me, you're just a person... just like any Black person, Jewish person, or anyone else out there. We all bleed the same when we get hurt...
I think it's better to rise above these divisions and the kind of petty thinking used by people who aren't looking at the bigger picture. There are way more important things happening in the world...🙂

I can't seem to find a guy who matches my level, whether in my own age group or even a few generations older, because most guys seem to have less maturity or life experience than I do... but that doesn't leave me feeling miserable or broken like you suggest. Actually, it's quite the opposite—I'm fine with it. It might be true that most people act the way you described, but as they say, exceptions prove the rule. There are definitely people out there who just don't have that innate urge to settle down, and the idea of commitment actually repels them.

You'll find someone eventually..
you're still young...
Maybe you're just turning people down because you haven't met someone truly compelling yet..
Everything will work itself out in time..🙂

I totally get where you're coming from... honestly, it feels like you're heading in the right direction, though there’s probably still some work to do on your mindset and self-awareness.. but it'll happen 🙂
you're young.. you're wild.. you're a guy.. 😬
your time will come.. 😉
trust me 🙂

just walk away from whatever you're into.. if you're actually hooked, it'll dull your senses until you're basically just an empty shell... by then you'll be forced to quit, and things get much harder once the consequences catch up to you..
but you haven't really specified what stage you're at or what you're dealing with specifically? without knowing that, I guess I can't really give you any solid advice..

Morgan Long49 said:It doesn't have to work out that way for everyone. That's actually why I can't seem to find a boyfriend; I struggle to fall in love and enjoy that dynamic because then I feel like I'm losing myself... I start becoming just like millions of other people. I can't wrap my head around the idea of "settling down" and enjoying life with a partner, because I don't view that as a priority or something beautiful. I have this deep need to either be alone or just casual, rather than being tied to someone—especially when it feels like they feel more for me than I do for them, which is how most cases go. Honestly, forget men who are more clingy than women. I just can't love anyone that way. There are definitely others like me out there, though I'm not sure about >, maybe he's the same. It's possible I just haven't met the right person yet, I suppose... but I don't feel like any relationship would actually change anything, because quite frankly, I'm just not into relationships.

That's just what you think right now... you're young...
how much longer will you feel that way...
especially once those middle-age years hit...
if you skip out on that whole mating process, you'll probably end up feeling unsatisfied, bitter, and lonely for the rest of your life...
Mating is almost instinctive for us... and honestly, love is almost too overwhelming for us to function normally in daily life...
I'm not some fanatic or someone constantly preaching about needing a relationship. I've just personally realized that it's our nature, and any deviation from that just messes us up...
but you only really get that when you enter a truly high-quality relationship and find your other half—that one person you're totally in sync with... and that's incredibly hard to find...🙂

Noah Sanchez7 said:I'm single. I get that having a partner would make things easier, but that’s not really my goal. Though, I'll admit, it gets lonely sleeping by myself sometimes.
I had a whole group of buddies who were in the same boat, always into hip-hop and front-row vibes. They used to trash everything and everyone, but then they met girls and just... settled down. Honestly, which is sadder?

Well, there you have it...😬
I guess once you get into something serious and a lady helps settle all those doubts, everything just falls into place. Don't worry too much about it.
Love is something else entirely.
Right now, maybe things feel aimless and boring, and you're just wondering what to do with yourself because everything feels a bit pointless. But when you truly fall in love and find a real relationship, you won't even think about random people from the past. You'll mostly just be thinking about how to settle down and how to enjoy life with her, making things better for both of you, which is honestly the best feeling.
When you live with someone you've really bonded with and just click with, it changes your whole perspective. It shifts your goals and the way you look at everything.🙂

My mom's all worked up because her daughter is getting married... honestly, who wouldn't have a headache under those circumstances?🙂

Just kidding... mostly.

Maybe try some herbal drops—a mix of ginkgo, valerian, and rosemary. Try finding some from a local herbalist rather than that processed stuff you find at CVS. And she should probably just lock herself in a dark, quiet room until her nerves settle down.

Good luck!

uhm.. because her son is getting married😬
