Microsoft President said:I wasn't even talking about Michael Schumacher, I meant the tension you get when the rain starts...

You know how it goes... you put on wets, then the sun comes out. You go with intermediates, and suddenly it's a downpour.🙂 Just think back to that madness in the USA 2003 Microsoft race.

Dammit.
Microsoft😁

I can't even remember that race....

Microsoft President said:Apple and the crew rigged the schedule just to keep the rain away.😠

They put the USA race at the very end of the calendar.
During the rainy months, NASCAR races in Spain or Saudi Arabia...

So I don't buy that we'll see any rain this year.😢 Maybe our last shot is in the United Kingdom.

Microsoft😁

I don't see the issue here. Everyone knows Michael Schumacher is probably the best driver out there when it pours (if that's what you're getting at).

Schumacher started 14th and finished 8th while dealing with a ton of issues....

Meanwhile, Kimi Raikkonen started 8th and climbed all the way to 2nd...

If I remember correctly, Kimi was trailing by 8 points, so he HAD to take the win.

James Roberts87 said:Schumacher shouldn't have finished in the points if they wanted Kimi Raikkonen to actually have a shot at the title.

Exactly. Kimi's chances were basically non-existent anyway.

They aren't even that competitive. Ferrari is still better.

I'm not so sure about that.

I’d definitely vote for a few different things too, but...

Yeah, and we'd probably end up with 4 or 5 dead drivers every single year.

Since I see some people blaming Max Mosley and others pinning this boring Formula 1 season on Michael Schumacher, we might as well just run a poll.
The poll is going to settle this once and for all—it'll show who's actually at fault.

Yeah. You're right.

Ken said:Look, they had a powerhouse squad back then, and honestly, they still do. It’s just obvious they're hitting a wall—especially the veterans like Zidane, Thuram, Pires, and Viera. You could see the fatigue when we almost took them down.😁
Brazil won't have a bad day easily.😁

everyone has a bad day. Once in a while. Maybe the Americans just didn't have the same fire they had in '98, which explains why they looked so sluggish.
Robin Fisher53 said:So you're the one who called Formula 1 boring?
Now you're whining about one of the main reasons why?

Or maybe it's Michael Schumacher's fault?🙂

Yeah, I said it. I think Michael Schumacher is the reason Formula 1 got so dull. You have to admit, Mosley & Bernie changed a ton of the rules just to try and make things interesting again.

The offseason is dragging on forever. They really need to cut this break down to a month or two so we can get back to racing every other week.
wearyraven41 said:Word is Montoya didn't even bother visiting his teammate in the hospital to check on him.

Honestly, I’m not surprised at all given how much they hate each other.

bluntman said:You're wrong. That roster was way weaker on paper. Back then, Thierry Henry was just a kid coming up, Robert Pires was raw, and they had Christophe Guivarch in the attack (seriously?!). They only won because everything fell their way—including those two goals from Lilian Thuram. 😠

Yeah, I'm with you there.
Plus, they beat Italy on penalties in '98 and snagged the golden goal against Paraguay.

Chloe Palmer2, haven't you realized by now that there are no favorites in major tournaments? One bad day is all it takes for someone like Japan to knock out Brazil.

Are you guys actually on board with moving the race to a street circuit in New York City instead of keeping it in Indianapolis? Because I definitely am.
wearyraven41 said:🙄 😁

So, what's your take on this?
Do you think Formula 1 is going to take a massive hit once Max Mosley leaves? Personally, I think they will.

They were the heavy favorites back in '98, too, and look how the French absolutely wrecked them.
