Best offshore sportsbooks for online betting? in Betting Forum ·
Eric Fox7 said:Just wait until game day—that parlay will likely be a "slam dunk" at our local sportsbooks, because that’s just how it goes. I’m predicting Real Madrid will sit somewhere around 1.35-1.45.

It won't even hit 1.43—if they offered that against a draw at 5.5 and a Dinamo win at 12 (at DraftKings), you'd have a surebet on your hands. Bookies don't exactly promote those, especially not during Champions League matches.
That 1.43 figure includes a 5% margin, which makes it closer to 1.36 online... it isn't going any higher than that. 😉
I highly doubt our domestic books will offer anything north of 1.35.

They're definitely overpriced—honestly, most protein bars are, once you actually look at the price tag.

Picked up some peanut butter yesterday (I've already got the chocolate Whey protein, oats, and honey)—now I'm going to try making this myself.
Even if it fails, at least it'll be a bit of fun, right? 🙂

Anonymous said:So, I decided to kick things off yesterday by picking up... ovo Well, we'll just have to wait and see if it actually does anything...

As analogmarlin41 pointed out—you basically just bought sugar. 😉

If you had bothered to ask before jumping in—just a thought. I suppose I should have expected nothing less—was anyone actually surprised? tih $48!
If there's nothing else, I might just have to send you to... Well? The topic at hand—if one can even call it that—remains open. Shall we begin? 🙂

Well, it certainly looks like you have the budget for it when you're buying like that.

If I were you, I’d consider picking that up—really. Whey protein—it’s become such a staple that people practically treat it like a food group now. Is it actually necessary, or just clever marketing? ($57Grape sugar (0.5kg)—enough to sweeten a lifetime of regret, I suppose? $4.00(I’ve already sent you the details in your DMs)—oatmeal (1kg bag). $2.00(Target, Walmart) — if you ask me, this is the absolute baseline.
Mix some whey with oats for your first meal—just one scoop of whey, about 75g of oats, and water (though you could probably get away with a splash of milk if you're feeling indulgent).
Whey protein plus dextrose—just make sure you hit that window within 40 minutes of training. One scoop of Whey protein and one scoop of dextrose (roughly 45g)—simple enough?
As for your other meals—of which you really ought to be having more—take a look at this. vamo

By the way—just a side note.

What do you think—is it actually possible to scrape all those goldmine threads from an old fitness forum and compile them into one high-quality master post? People ask the same damn questions fifty times over—why bother reinventing the wheel every single day?

@Chloe Ruiz15
The most effective way to burn fat—if you actually want results—is a light jog or a brisk walk in the morning before breakfast, just like jadetiger962 suggested. Is there really any other way?

With low-intensity cardio, you might burn fewer calories per hour—compared to, say, hitting the Peloton or an elliptical—but the actual percentage of those calories coming from fat stores is higher. Isn't that just the way it works?

When you're working out, you aren't just burning through muscle tissue—though that happens too—you're also tapping into subcutaneous fat. But there's a catch, isn't there? Higher intensity targets the muscle more directly, while lighter movements seem to lean more on those fat stores.

Chloe Ruiz15 said:I’m looking for some advice from anyone who actually understands these supplements—specifically regarding pills and drinks. My goal is to drop 5 pounds and lose some belly fat. I’ve been doing cardio five times a day, though it's a struggle since my legs start feeling incredibly weak after just 10 minutes. Does this L-carnitine liquid actually boost energy levels (as far as I can tell from the article)? And could using CLA capsules help me lose weight? It feels like such an uphill battle, even if it isn't a massive amount to lose.

Thanks in advance for being honest and getting back to me quickly!

A direct answer on CLA:
http://forum.teretana.net/viewtopic.php?t=7027&start=0

And on L-carnitine:
L-carnitine Reddit thread

Scientifically speaking, research indicates that L-carnitine might only boost fat burning in individuals with a rare muscle deficiency. For everyone else—which is effectively the entire population—there is no solid evidence that L-carnitine supplements aid in weight loss. One has to wonder if they are even worth the steep price tag.

Those are just the opinions of people obsessed with every single gram of fat. If there were an easier way to burn fat, don't you think they would have mentioned it?

Well, yeah—that's the "cheat" meal, right?
I assume he's just slamming about 40 grams of fructose and a scoop of whey.

It goes against everything Searle's taught us, but if he insists on having 🙂 that specific meal, he can't afford to skip it.

fadedhound69 said:And I still can't quite wrap my head around this little game you're playing—this intentional insulin spiking of yours. Is it really necessary? 😁

A true recovery meal is defined by what you eat immediately following a workout—specifically, fast-digesting proteins like whey paired with rapid-fire carbs such as glucose, rice cakes, or corn flakes. You can pick up glucose at a local CVS if you need it. $3.75 500g—enough to be significant, or just enough to be a problem?

While every meal carries its own weight—they all matter, after all—there is one that stands apart from the rest. Post-workout meal—because apparently, that’s where the magic happens? Post-workout window—when muscle protein synthesis jumps by a staggering 50%—really demands some strategic thinking regarding that post-training meal. Wouldn't it make sense to opt for something liquid, like a blend of whey protein and maltodextrin? It bypasses the whole digestive slog and hits the bloodstream in about 30 minutes—unlike solid food, which can take three hours or more just to clear the stomach before absorption even begins.

😉

By the way—nutrition in zone only really started clicking for me once I doubled my daily intake—way beyond what’s actually recommended—whereas for my girlfriend, even ten blocks a day is way too much.

silentsurfer19 said:j... just a club without a soul. It’s the fans who are actually out there fighting to keep this sport from turning into some soulless corporate machine—trying to make sure players actually play with heart, for the badge, for the city, and for the people, instead of just chasing a paycheck. But then you’ve got these suits who treat football like nothing more than a massive money-making scheme... they’re basically at war with the fans because we're the ones standing in the way of them lining their pockets and completely gutting the game.
It pisses me off the most when they slap a club with a stadium ban and force them to play in front of an empty house... I mean, what's even the point then? Is the game played just for the guys on the pitch? Or are the players there for the fans? Honestly, the whole thing is just going down the drain...
Where are the days of glory and pride? Where did they go?

And then those very same fans end up getting the club kicked out of the tournament later. 🙄
It’s hardest when they punish a club by forcing them to play in an empty stadium... what's the point then? Is football played for the sake of the players? Or are the players there for the spectators?

Bravo, you hit the nail on the head.
In my view, the most appropriate penalty is a completely empty stadium. 😉

When have you actually seen any of these groups—Commando Ultras '84, South Winners, New York Yankees, OM West, Fanatics, or Dodgers—do anything that would actually result in empty stands? When they are at the stadium, this is all that matters. Outside of that, it's a different story entirely... 😁
And what? Are those groups somehow less "ultra" than the VAK S De Kuip crowd?

@Kimberly Barnes2
Why doesn't this kind of nonsense happen to Greek clubs, for instance?
Why don't teams like Olympiakos or Panathinaikos have to deal with these ridiculous headaches—essentially becoming "hostages" to their own fans?

What’s actually the difference between groups like Gate7 or 13 and the Boys? Are they simply (more intelligent?) or more self-aware than you lot?

Anonymous said:Man, where’s the logic in disqualifying a club after the decision has already been made and an appeal has been filed?

Maybe it's because that fine just wasn't appropriate enough?
Or perhaps it's because Wisla filed an appeal too...

I'm actually reading right now that the Wisla supporters' group is sending an appeal to UEFA (those eternal optimists 🤣) to let Wisla move on to the next round.

Anonymous said:Man, what a joke...
Seriously, the club is appealing the decision, and instead of just letting them keep the old rule or at least softening the blow, these guys are doubling down on the bans that cut short the very competition the club worked so hard to qualify for!

give me a break. they cause a disaster in France and then, rather than slapping the club with an immediate disqualification, they hand them some "minor" fine. since the format for this UEFA tournament involves playing either home or away, Liverpool FC played Wisla at home—in front of a packed (and freshly hyped 😁) stadium. At the very least, they should have ordered the stands cleared... though, I suspect they covered that little fine just by selling tickets for that single match.
Wisla lost 3-1—fair enough—but the atmosphere at the stadium was enough to carry clubs much bigger than Wisla through a loss.
