Dennis Allen10 said:Has anyone actually tried the desserts from Mak na Konac? I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but honestly, looking at those photos... they look absolutely insane. Since we don't have a massive population here, I really wish we could get more of those super creamy cakes and dessert shooters. I'm tired of everything tasting like standard wedding catering—even though, full disclosure, I'm a sucker for those tiny little bite-sized wedding treats myself.

The treats are seriously good, just be ready to pay a premium for them.😉

Of course. Every part of the country has its own local customs and specific amounts, so everyone just does things their own way🙂

Look, if you're asking if two kilos of dessert is enough for ten people, the only person telling you otherwise is someone trying to squeeze extra cash out of you. Honestly, a kilo is plenty, and you’ll probably even have some left over ☕

Since when is a kilo of sweets not enough for 10 people?🙄

But, I get why it matters to some people 🙂

We decided to make things way easier for ourselves by going with an all-inclusive package at the Hotel Patria. That way, we get all the desserts, cakes, and the wedding cake included.

We'll definitely try them beforehand, of course 😉 I was at a wedding this past weekend, and honestly, I was more impressed by how the desserts looked than how they actually tasted, haha

Which venue did you guys end up picking? I can't remember ever being at a wedding where the desserts were actually bad. Sure, some are better than others, but who cares? Nobody remembers the sweets once the night is over. 😁

If it’s a commercial outfit, then you already know the drill—they’re stuffing it with cheap stuff like generic supermarket chocolate (which has never even seen a cocoa bean) and swapping out real butter for bottom-of-the-barrel margarine, etc. 😳

Honestly, let them serve whatever. As long as it doesn't taste like cardboard, I'm good.😁

I don't really care about the dessert spread. For me, it's all about the main course and the overall vibe. Everything else is just extra.☕

Honestly, $200 is a pretty decent amount to save. In my experience, guests mostly care about the vibe, the live band, and the food. Cakes are just a side note—everyone's got their own priorities when it comes to spending.🙂

Even if my own treats cost only $20/lb, they won't be any less delicious than those overpriced ones.☕

Personally, sweets are the last thing on my priority list. I’m not about to drop serious cash on them because, honestly, most pastries are pretty much mid in terms of quality. Like, what kind of dessert are we even talking about for $40/lb? 😲 The priciest thing I’ve ever heard of was $30🙄

Honestly, the absolute worst part of any wedding is the dessert spread. Like, 90% of the guests won't even touch them.🙂 But you’re stuck ordering them because apparently, it's just "tradition" or whatever... I hate it.😁

If it were up to my husband, he’d scrap the whole dessert table entirely, but I can already see the judgmental looks from the older relatives on the guest list.🤣

So, realistically, what’s the bare minimum number of pastries you need per table to keep everyone happy?
