Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Hello,

I could really use some advice before I take my next step, so I wanted to lay out my story briefly to give you all some context.

Two years ago, I went through a rough patch with some antibiotics that my body just couldn't handle, and it ended up causing my chemical levels to spike to stage three. Everything else has stayed pretty much within the normal range since then—usually, the only times things fluctuate is when I'm dealing with too much caffeine, high stress, or just living a generally disorganized lifestyle. Whenever that happens, I usually manage to get everything back on track fairly quickly.

Once you hit stage three, everything starts to slide backward. Your quality of life takes a massive hit because you’re constantly playing a mental game of chicken with your own body, wondering exactly when that urgent need to find a restroom is going to strike. It’s this persistent, nagging sensation that forces you to rush to the bathroom, only to end up feeling completely empty once you get there. You become tethered to your own home; you have to shower immediately after, and heaven forbid you find yourself stuck on a flight, at a restaurant, or anywhere else far from your own sanctuary. And once the shower is done, it's just straight to bed, waiting for the medication to slowly kick back in and settle your system.
And just like that, it's the same damn thing every single day.

I used Pilex to keep things under control—it really helped manage the bleeding and kept the pain at bay. However, I find myself needing a new course every six to eight months to stay on top of it.

I really need to start a new course of Pilex right about now. That uncomfortable sensation is creeping back, and honestly, I’ve had enough of a lifestyle that revolves around trying to get hemorrhoids to settle down. At this point, I'm genuinely ready to just go in for a checkup and deal with the surgery once and for all.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a top-tier specialist and a reliable clinic? To be honest, budget isn't my primary concern here—I just want to make sure everything goes as smoothly and professionally as possible.
I've been reading quite a bit of positive feedback regarding Lastric. Has anyone here actually had any experience with them?

Is it possible for me to qualify for the third stage of the HAL RAR, or is that opportunity strictly reserved for the "lucky ones" who make it through the second?
Does Lastric offer the hal rar service, or is it strictly limited to MM? I couldn't find any mention of hal rar in the pricing listed on his website.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Feel free to send them my way via private message.

Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Adam Nguyen2 said:Hey everyone—and sorry if this topic already exists, I couldn't find it. It feels weirdly obvious that allergies get talked about constantly, yet there’s no dedicated thread for this. 🙂

Basically, for years, I dealt with massive, soul-crushing pollen allergies and all that other spring nonsense that I absolutely hated. But this year? Everything is in full bloom and I’m walking around without even needing a tissue. How? I honestly have no clue. If I went to my doctor now asking why my allergies suddenly vanished, he'd probably think I was losing it and just tell me to be glad. 🙂

I suspect it's because I've been taking Beta-Glucan for the last two months—it's a yeast-based supplement meant to boost the whole immune system. On top of that, I've been using Avamys spray in my nose for the past month. So, yeah... maybe people struggling with allergy issues should chat with their own doctors and look into trying this combination. It’s helped me significantly—at least for now, which is progress in itself. 🙂

Beta-Glucan is great for allergies, but you hit on a crucial point... you really need to start taking it at least a month before the blooming season starts so your body can prep its immune system to fight off those flying pollens and bugs.

I did the same thing two years ago, starting a month before the season kicked in, and had zero issues... this year, I started too late. 🙂
Has anyone here tried Allegra?
They're over-the-counter antihistamines. My local pharmacist recommended them, mentioning they get really positive feedback from patients and that people find them genuinely helpful.

I decided to give them a shot because, honestly, hardly anything seems to work for me during this allergy season anymore, and I'm running out of things to try. ☕
It sounds like a type of stress-induced dermatitis. I deal with something similar myself because my job keeps me in a state of constant, chronic stress.
I don't think there’s a magic pill for it, honestly; it’s mostly about trying to manage your nerves and stay calm. It might also help to take some zinc, since it's great for skin health and generally useful for dealing with those kinds of neurodermatitis issues.

Whenever I think back to Circle in the Sand, man, those were the days.🤣
