Angela Smith14, are you mixing that oil blend yourself or can I actually find it on a shelf somewhere?

It’s like watching someone celebrate finding a twenty-dollar bill on a sidewalk in Chicago—sure, it's nice, but let's not pretend it's a life-changing miracle. You see these people constantly overcomplicating things that are actually quite straightforward, wrapping simple truths in layers of unnecessary noise just to feel important. It’s exhausting to watch. If you have to spend ten minutes explaining why a concept is profound, you probably haven't grasped it yet. Just say what needs saying and move on. Life is too short for all this performative depth. kaže:
Does anyone know if the timing actually matters for when they draw blood? I’m currently in that gap between boxes in my cycle. I totally blanked on asking my sister about it—I always get all scrambled whenever I step into the doctor's office. 🙄
It really depends on what you’re pulling from the lab. If we're talking about hormone levels, that’s a big deal—that’s the core stuff. But if it's just a standard blood count? Honestly, it's probably not worth sweating over.
Thanks! For the blood work, though, last time they made me give a urine sample too, and honestly, I have no clue what they're actually looking for in there. God, I feel like such a total hillbilly for even asking this... 🤦 Anyway, I'll just wait until this little blood spot clears up; I'm not sure if it would mess with the urinalysis...
Does anyone actually know which part of the cycle you're supposed to draw blood during? (I’m currently in that gap between packs.) Or does it honestly not even matter? I totally blanked on asking my sister—I always get all flustered the second I step into the doctor's office...🙄
Hey guys,
A while back, I was on the pill for about a year, but I eventually quit because I started getting these stretch marks along my thighs. Now, I’m actually thinking about getting back on it just for the protection. Obviously, I’ll be heading to my gynecologist and getting blood work done—unless there’s something else you think is worth checking?
Also, does anyone know what the current word is on the link between birth control and breast cancer? I know there was a massive debate about that back in the day.
Does anyone know what kind of paperwork I actually need to bring to close out my Zaba fan? Also, will it be an issue if I haven't been enrolled in school for a while now?
Hey everyone! Sorry if this belongs in a different thread—if it does, please just point me in the right direction! So, my cousin is currently going through chemo (we’re honestly so relieved that her test results keep getting better and better!🙂), and she’s been using these deep headscarves to cover her hair loss. Unfortunately, the shop in Indianapolis where she’s been buying them doesn't carry them anymore, so I want to pick some up for her while I'm visiting Washington, D.C., but I have no clue where to start looking... If anyone knows where I can find that specific style of headscarf or something similar and practical in the D.C. area, please let me know 🙂 thanks in advance!

Look, I'm literally Googling the exact same thing right now, and from what I can tell, you donate plasma at the Institute of Immunology over on Rockefeller Boulevard, $33 + you get lunch out of it.
The only thing I'm wondering is if they take people every day or just certain days, and I'm guessing it's mostly a morning thing, or does it not even matter?

So, I was wondering if any of you ladies have dealt with this kind of breast pain lasting longer than three months? It’s getting old. Even during my break between packs, they still ache—it’s just constant.
I’m currently on my tenth pack of Yasmin and honestly, the breast situation is constant for me. Some months it’s a dull ache, other months it’s intense, but that tension just never goes away. It usually starts around the middle of the second week and lasts until my period ends... 🙄
I’m actually planning to switch over to Logest soon because of this, plus the low libido, and in the hope that it might stop these capillaries from expanding further...
Drew Gonzalez75 said:I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit lately. It's easy to get caught up in the noise, isn't it? I try to stay grounded, but sometimes the momentum of everything just feels heavy. I suppose I'm still learning how to navigate that balance. One step at a time, I guess. kaže:
Did your vein issues settle down after you stopped taking them, or what? Honestly, they were splitting apart like candy for me too. It happened right when I first showed up with those liver problems—which were fine, really—but then he just looked at me and asked, "Which one do you want?" So I just mumbled something about maybe Yasmin, since that was the first thing that popped into my head... 👎
I don't see any varicose veins on myself. I’ve always had very fair skin, so my blue veins are naturally visible. However, it isn't that they've suddenly bulged out; instead, I've noticed these little red lines—capillaries—appearing on my thighs. They tend to spread, and I really want to prevent that from happening. I'm considering trying Logest in the hope that it might help stop them. Does anyone here have experience with broken capillaries and switching birth control pills? Could it actually make a difference?
I generally tend to try different options first—since I haven't really dealt with any other side effects so far. However, I'm feeling a bit conflicted because my gynecologist wants me to take a three-month break beforehand. His reasoning is that... "If the capillaries are receding, then they clearly aren't from Yasmin."What I’ve managed to dig up online suggests that for dealing with spider veins... I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that. Could you please clarify what you meant? I could pull my hair out from the stress. Taking a break feels like a total shock to the system. It makes me wonder—who’s actually the crazy one here? 😕
It didn't work for me. Still, I'm convinced the issue stemmed from the pills.
Let me clarify—the vein isn't on the back where most people have them. It’s actually running along the front, right over the shin bone, and sometimes it gets a bit swollen.😳
I’ve spent quite a bit of time weighing my options regarding those pills—specifically considering switching to the long-acting version since it has the lowest hormone levels. Ultimately, though, I decided the potential side effects just aren't worth the gamble. At the end of the day, we're talking about hormones, after all. So, for now, I’m looking for a new gynecologist to get a professional opinion on the IUD.🤷
I’m still telling you, you should consider switching up your birth control. That bolded part they mentioned sounds incredibly suspicious to me. Honestly, it doesn't make any sense at all. If those symptoms only recede after you stop taking Yasmin, then logically, they were caused by it, right?
Yeah, you're totally right. Now that I'm actually sitting here thinking about it, I realize I messed up how I wrote that—and looking back at my last post, I can see exactly where I went wrong. 😳 It basically boils down to this: if they don't back off, then they aren't really part of Yasmina’s circle. But since they can't exactly retreat, we’re stuck right back in that annoying gray area where they might be—but don't necessarily have to be.
You’re absolutely right—if you’re walking out of a gynecologist's office feeling totally frustrated and immediately hitting up an online forum for answers, that doctor isn't doing their job. Period. But even if he's "personable" and doesn't turn you away when you show up looking confused, does that actually matter? I mean, what's the point of seeing someone who's nice if they leave you more lost than when you walked in? Still, I’m terrified of the alternative. I have this massive fear that if I switch, I’ll just stumble straight into someone even worse, because honestly, there are way too many horror stories out there to ignore. 😢 I can't afford anything private—I'm a student, obviously. The classic struggle. 🙄

About three years ago, I was on Diane for a year and developed a varicose vein in my lower leg (I was only 19 at the time). After reading the side effects and worrying about potential blood clots, I went to my OBGYN at Mount Sinai and asked for guidance.
She suggested switching to Logest. When I asked her if Logest would still affect my vein—since hormones are hormones regardless—she just gave me a completely blank stare and said, "It's your choice; pick Diane, Logest, or whatever else."😲
Honestly, I was thinking, "Excuse me? You're the doctor; you're supposed to tell me which one is better for my specific situation."🙄👎
She’s nearing retirement and seems a bit scattered lately, so that probably explains why her advice was so dismissive.😢
Anyway, I didn't take anything and haven't seen a gynecologist in three years. Now I'm looking for someone new, because it's definitely time to move on.
Did your vein issues clear up after you stopped taking them? I had a similar experience where they were handing out pills like candy. My liver tests came back fine, and the doctor just shrugged and asked, "Which one do you want?" So I figured maybe Yasmin since that's what I'd heard about...👎
I don't really have varicose veins; I've always had very fair skin, so my blue veins show easily, but nothing has suddenly bulged out. Instead, I've developed these red lines on my thighs—spider veins. They tend to spread, and I really don't want that to happen, so I’m hoping to try Logest to see if it helps. Does anyone have experience with spider veins and switching pills? Can it actually help?
Basically, I'm open to trying something else since I haven't had other side effects, but my doctor wants me to take a three-month break first. His logic is, "If the spider veins recede, then we know they weren't caused by Yasmin." But from what I've read online, spider veins
don't just go away on their own. Plus, taking a break is such a shock to the system. So now I'm wondering, who's actually the crazy one here?😕
So... I’ve somehow accidentally become an expert on every single disease known to man. It’s actually getting a little scary because, let’s be honest, I have a massive tendency toward hypochondria. 😁
Alright, please give me your advice and share what you've been through...
So, here’s the deal: I’m on Yasmin, currently on my tenth pack, and for the last two months, these broken capillaries have been popping up on my breasts—intense pink ones—and they appeared incredibly fast. I went to see my OB-GYN and told him straight up that I want to switch pills. I mentioned this as a reason, thinking maybe a different brand, like Logest for instance, which has even lower hormone levels, might stop this from spreading.
Well, my doctor basically told me to just take a three-month break to "see" if those capillaries recede. His logic is that if they disappear, then Yasmin wasn't the culprit. Is anyone else finding this totally ridiculous? I’ve never heard that broken capillaries can just vanish on their own unless you go in for laser treatment or something similar...
And now, after waiting out those three months, he wants me to check back in if I feel like trying something else, though he claims it doesn't make much sense because Yasmin is "just like any other pill." Look, I already know I want to try something different, so does it really make sense to put my body through the shock of a hiatus for something that isn't going to change anything? Besides, if all birth control pills were identical, why would there be so many different types? He can't seriously argue that one size fits all, or that none of them work for anyone. 😕
I don't know, maybe I'm not the genius here, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences if you've dealt with anything similar. Am I out of line for doubting my doctor? (By the way, when I brought up these white patches on my breasts—which are obviously candidiasis—the guy just prescribed a cream, which is also super questionable to me 🙄). Honestly, what am I supposed to do? He has spoken, and he’s already noted the "break" in my medical file... 🤷
Yeah, it usually shows up a bit later—my doctor actually mentioned it'll probably be somewhere around the 40-day mark.
Also, you definitely want to schedule a follow-up with your OB-GYN about two weeks after the Inc.! Or just get in there as soon as possible—I’m assuming everything went fine, but it's better to have a professional confirm that for you...

😁 thanks! 😘
quietdriver3 said:The critics seem to be saying pretty much that, so I don't really have any huge expectations going in. But man, that one scene from the trailer... you know the one? Where it’s raining in Washington, D.C. at night, and the camera just slowly pans up while a city bus rolls by at the bottom of the frame—yeah, that's the whole reason I'd actually go see it.
That scene is genuinely stunning, and I was actually really digging those gritty characters they had in the frame with her. Now I’m on a mission to find that track—does anyone happen to know the name of the song?
