Hi everyone, looks like I’m joining the club of people dealing with this illness. I've been told to come in for a follow-up once all my tests are in, since my chest CT showed something on my lungs (the radiologist told me to be ready for a hospital stay 😢, saying it isn't anything too scary, but still...). I'm also waiting on my sputum culture results, which should be ready in about five days. My blood work came back normal. So, after New Year's, I'll be seeing the pulmonologist with everything gathered Does anyone know if I'll actually need to be hospitalized or stay overnight? And if so, how long does that usually last? I'm asking because my job is pretty demanding right now, so I can't exactly count on being out on medical leave for six months (though regardless, health comes first and I want to get this sorted as soon as possible) Thanks in advance, everyone.

If all the paperwork is in order, it typically takes about 2-3 days, plus a little extra time for the funds to clear. So, provided everything goes smoothly, you're looking at roughly a week until the money hits their account and you have the keys in your hand.😁
Mostly, if you have a partner or someone close to you, they can just get you an appointment because they're already seeing their own family doctor... even if they're totally slammed... give it a shot
You can actually get glasses with specialized reflective lenses that don't require a prescription... prices start at $167 depending on which frames you pick.
Maybe check in with a local shop like LensCrafters or Warby Parker.

A primary care doctor???
I doubt they can really help with this. Someone made a good point earlier that it’s likely just a lack of self-confidence, probably because he hasn't gained enough experience yet—and I'm guessing all his friends are having regular sex...
Just try to relax, learn to love yourself, and build some self-respect. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest talking to a therapist...
It all comes down to psychology. Maybe Meg just doesn't trust the driver, or if she’s behind the wheel herself, she lacks confidence in her own driving skills...
As a kid, I ALWAYS used to get motion sickness—buses, cars, boats, you name it... I was constantly throwing up. But ever since I started driving, it's disappeared completely. Sometimes before a long trip, I'll get a bit of pre-travel anxiety where I can't sleep the night before, but I don't deal with any physical issues like stomach problems.
Whatever you do, don't take any sedatives if you're the one driving. They make you drowsy and things can go south fast... especially Valium.
Thanks for the advice, I'm done using it. As soon as any issues pop up, I'm heading straight to my dermatologist. Honestly, thank God it’s been over a month without a single flare-up...
My wife even tells me my face feels as smooth as a baby's bottom🙄 so we'll see how things go. I actually swiped one of her aloe vera creams from a brand like Avon—it's really lightweight and seems to be working for me. We'll see... either way, thanks again Chris Morgan67😘
Chris Morgan67 said:You can end up with steroid dermatitis. Honestly, you shouldn't be putting those kinds of creams on your face. I was told that if I ever developed an issue on my face, I should just apply a super thin layer of Geocortone ointment... I actually had a breakout once, and using Geocortone cleared it right up.
Are you applying the Belosalic lotion into your hair, or is it the cream?
Just the cream—the ointment, really... but only occasionally.
I'm not sure what steroid dermatitis actually is. Can someone explain?
Look, I know you can't always trust general practitioners, but surely she knew something when she prescribed that ointment? And every time I went back for follow-ups, even when I specifically asked for dermatology referrals... she refused, claiming it wasn't psoriasis and that it was just some vitamin deficiency I've had since birth.😕
Hihi said:Hey Jerry Doyle67, I honestly think we're looking at seborrheic dermatitis. Most skin diagnoses are just descriptive names because, let's be real, medicine doesn't actually know the root cause yet. The most logical explanation I've come across is that it's caused by fungi feeding on the sebum (skin oils).
Anyway, from my own experience: 1. Cut out sugar for at least a month (and if you can, stay away from it entirely), 2. Wash your face 2-3 times a day with a good cleanser (I personally use Sebamed), and 3. Try to get as much fresh air and sunlight as possible. It worked for me—I'm about 90% clear right now! And I did it all without using corticosteroids, which really just offer temporary relief.
Sending greetings back to you too. I wash my face every morning and night with a drugstore gel cleanser... it works well for me, and then I just follow up with a basic daily moisturizer.
I don't eat a ton of sweets... but I notice it flares up the most when life gets hectic, you know? Stress, obligations, all that. Also, if I have 5 or 6 beers, I wake up the next morning with a total mess on my face... weirdly enough, if I only have 2 or 3, my skin looks perfect the next day. Hmm...
One more thing, I had no idea Belosalic could be that harmful. My doctor actually told me that if I have dandruff, I should just rub it into my scalp and it wouldn't be an issue.
What are the actual side effects of using Belosalic?
I totally agree, this disease is such a nightmare...
I deal with facial redness quite often, especially on my forehead and around my nose... it’s just this constant redness that gets itchy... If I scratch at it, things only get worse... I went to see a doctor, but he told me it isn't psoriasis, just some kind of redness triggered by stress and stuff... Basically, for years now, whenever this flares up, I apply some Belosalic overnight and everything settles down by morning...
But the worst part is that it keeps coming back every week or two, so I'm stuck constantly using this medication because nothing else seems to work... Normally, I stick to light daily moisturizers, and every night I put on some Vaseline or something similar, because if I didn't, my whole face would be red... hopefully, things get better soon. Best,
I was like a teenager back when I tried it a few times... but honestly, I just didn't get a kick out of it, so I stopped.
Nowadays, I have zero interest in it and don't see the appeal at all.
I have some buddies who have been smoking every single day for ten years now, and you can really tell—their memory is slipping, they struggle to focus, and their coordination just isn't what it used to be.
So...
Everyone has their own thing... but I don't need that. I hope this helps someone out.
