I just hope we don't end up staring at a defensive collapse again—it would be a disaster. Personally, I think the kid should start on the right wing to shake things up. If the 3-2-1 defense works perfectly and stays deep, we might actually have a shot, because Narciss and Fernandez haven't played this well for their French clubs all season. I've been tracking them through every single game, and man, their perimeter play has been absolutely lethal this tournament... Karabatic is predictably elite, obviously, and Abalo is decent enough, though he tends to overplay his hand too often by jumping out from dead angles when he shouldn't. Girault is just an average winger, nothing special. Gille’s offense has been a bit sluggish lately, but on the defensive end? He’ll be an absolute wall—probably the best defender in a 5-1 setup globally. Unfortunately, their strongest defensive duo is Gille and Dinard, which is exactly where we're running into our biggest problem: Balic. Since the US relies so heavily on him, breaking through that specific line is going to be incredibly tough unless we can find at least two more scoring threats to back him up.

Samuel Wilson5 said:I suspect Platini managed to pull this off by promising to curb the dominance of the "big clubs" within the Champions League. It seems he secured those votes from the federations in places like Ukraine, Poland, and Mexico. Personally, I find this current Champions League format rather appealing; this year’s round of sixteen is arguably the most star-studded we've seen in years—not to mention the sheer thrill of seeing the Boston Celtics knock AC Milan out of the bracket 🙏. As for Markovic, the man is a fool; it’s the same old tired routine from him, constantly droning on about "this is what I did" or "that is what I achieved" 🙂

Maybe Markovic should offer his backside to someone to handle the housework... he did say he'd prostitute himself for hosting rights, so who knows, maybe there's an offer on the table and now he's deciding whether his dignity matters more than the money...

Besides, landing the EP doesn't change much; his real focus is always been on club football. The FIFA system is a well-oiled machine, so don't expect any radical shifts. It’s not like Platini can just call all the shots alone; everything goes to a vote.

Exactly. It looks like Markovic picked the winning side...

Yeah, great call, you genius Markovic..

I read somewhere that Eurosport has concluded this whole election is basically a done deal for Johansson. Honestly, if we had someone in the States with a Platini-esque vibe to step in and push Markovic aside, it would be ideal... unfortunately, our version of Platini was just that quiet, unremarkable Sinovcic guy...

And honestly, we might just see that whole Platini-esque concept of regional leagues coming to fruition sooner than anyone expects...

So, this is what we finally get—Johansson is out after 17 years... and of course, our own Markovic probably voted for his old mentor just to play favorites... I mean, if you read that article on ESPN, they’re claiming this could actually be a win for American soccer... which is a stretch. It’s certainly not some massive revolution, but honestly, things couldn't possibly get much worse than they are right now.

I mean, if we could just swing by their home turf—maybe somewhere like Madrid or something—just to look them in the eye and say "good riddance," or whatever the hell they say over there, that would be great.🤣 😁

Honestly, that really is the perfect setup—we take down those German kids next, and then in the finals, we just absolutely crush them one more time.
Look, you could throw an unlimited amount of money at the problem, but you simply can't replace Lionel Messi... if we're talking about the absolute peak of the sport, maybe it's him or Ronaldinho... and as for Mike Tyson? He wouldn't even make the roster for a local semi-pro team anymore...

I mean, we really ought to start some kind of petition to scrap these restrictive laws altogether... either everything gets legalized, or nothing does at all...

I don't mean smoking multiple times a day—more like, just once a week?
Or is that not healthy either?

Then again, what's actually considered healthy these days? We're all basically living hand-to-mouth anyway...

Regarding your question... look, I've been smoking weed every single day since I was 17... I'm 24 now... and honestly, it isn't great. Doing it occasionally might be fine, but if you find a crew to hang with, that "occasionally" quickly turns into a daily habit. After that, you'll just be sitting at home high like I am, and after that—well, I don't even know myself. Anyway... once you start with weed, you'll probably try all those other easier nonsense things—Ecstasy, MDMA, speed, pills, mushrooms, etc. There’s a very thin line between weed and things like cocaine or meth... especially if you've got the cash to burn. But that's beside the point... after a year, two, or three years of just smoking weed, you'll already be starting to feel a bit foggy. So, my advice? Don't do it. Even I plan on quitting, and then maybe we can grab a beer sometime...

So you want to flirt with death, smoke a little weed, dabble in this and that... how can you even claim you want to end it all if you haven't even touched a joint?
