The first half of that sentence is just typical nonsense about people from Japan, while the rest sounds like Visitor Q by Miike. 😁
I don't think these folks obsessed with Japanese cinema realize that they churn out maybe 400-500 films a year over there. Most of them are shit. Some are good. A few are excellent.
But for crying out loud, that doesn't mean every time Miike has a bad day he produces a masterpiece. A little critical thinking wouldn't hurt...

Japanese cinema is massively overrated.👎 Honestly, all these hipster kids need is some guy to tell them, "Oh man, you have to see this latest Takashi Miike flick where a girl stuffs a severed head into a takeout box while the protagonist sleeps with his cat before getting clobbered by a random dude with a brick," and suddenly everyone's lining up to watch it. Give me a break...
Look at this magazine where 99% of the content was just ripped straight from the English edition. They barely broke a sweat... Talk about lazy. At least Filmski.net actually puts in the work and does a killer job... http://www.filmski.net
