Once the Emperor supposedly died, the Empire wasn't even the same entity anymore, and matters became incredibly complicated. It doesn't make much sense to try and summarize such a massive shift in just one short sentence, though I think it would be quite interesting to have a more serious discussion about this with a larger group of people who are deeply familiar with the non-film Star Wars storylines...

I feel a bit foolish right now... I read the first post, the one where they mocked me, and I jumped straight in to defend myself without thinking. It wasn't until afterward that I scrolled through the rest of the thread and realized you all had already called them out exactly the same way I did... now I just feel like I was merely echoing everyone else. It feels silly, truly silly... and honestly, I'm wondering why I felt the need to justify myself in the first place. 😁

It’s actually really nice to see that I’m not the only person here in the States who has a soft spot for the blaxploitation genre.

How on earth did you manage to watch most of them? There must be at least 200 out there, whereas I've only scratched the surface of a few... 😢
While "Shaft" remains my absolute favorite, I have to agree that "Superfly" is legendary—though it wouldn't come close to being that good without the Curtis Mayfield soundtrack (I own a copy 🙂 ).
Has anyone seen the sequel from the following year, "Superfly T. N. T."? I've read some pretty bad things about it...
