I’m sure this has probably come up in previous discussions, but...

If a full-scale war actually broke out between the technologies from Star Wars and Star Trek—incorporating all the characters, the weaponry, the massive starships, everything... who do you think would actually come out on top?

Personally, I have a huge soft spot for Star Wars, but if I’m being honest, I still think the Trekkies would take the win. 😁

I mean, I guess the technology from Star Trek would come out on top, but honestly, it’s only because of the Borg. Other than that, they’d probably just be evenly matched.

Man, this is pointless.... SW is better than ST anyway... so who cares who has more advanced tech?

In my estimation, Star Wars would come out on top.

A Super Star Destroyer measures in at 7 kilometers long.
No ship from Star Trek can even begin to be measured against that kind of scale.
Then you have the Star Destroyers,
followed by the Victory-Class Star Destroyers,
the Mon Calamari Cruisers,
and the Death Stars.

And let's not forget the Jedi.
Frankly, a single Jedi Master could dismantle the Borg all on their own; since the Borg operate as a single collective entity, taking them down would be like a walk through the park.

Ion cannons, AT-ST walkers, speeders, hyperspace drives, invincible shields, Star Destroyers, Super Star Destroyer, the Death Star and its planet-destroying beam, X-Winogovs, TIE Fighters, countless planets, the Force, Jedi, Lightsabers, New York City, Cloud City, Stormtroopers. Clone Trooper, Secret Service, battle-droids...

While Trek certainly has plenty of gadgets, Star Wars is just a vastly larger universe overall.

Then again, they aren't even in the same category: Star Wars is a fantasy world, whereas Trek is an imaginary one.

Fantasy: purely invented, impossible by nature.
Imagination: constructed from memories of what exists, and therefore entirely possible.

Star Wars should be compared to LOTR instead.

There will never be such a thing as a phaser from Star Trek

Some folks told me a phaser is just some kind of angle in a complex plane involving currents (or something along those lines), but at the end of the day, it's just an angle.
So, there is absolutely no connection to actual projectiles here.😢

Some guys I know told me a phaser is just some kind of angle in a complex plane between currents (or something like that), but at the end of the day, it's still just an angle.
So, there’s really no connection to actual projectiles at all. 😢

phaser <> phasor...

If you ask me, the biggest shortcoming of Star Trek is the lack of fighters (combat craft, interceptors, or whatever you want to call them).

I personally believe Kirk would defeat Darth Vader instantly. My reasoning is simple: Darth Vader is both unsightly and malicious, whereas Kirk is just fundamentally cool. If Darth Vader approached him, Kirk would probably just laugh and tell him, "Hey, Darth, I'm going to beat you like a stray cat." Then, Darth would try some sort of dark magic, but Spock would step in and insist, "No, no, that’s impossible; it defies all logic." At that point, Kirk would simply rip off his shirt—because we all know he fights significantly better once his shirt is gone. Don't test me on this; why else does he always seem to lose every fight until someone tears his shirt? Once that happens, he goes absolutely ballistic and dispatches his opponent like a kitten. After defeating Darth, Kirk would stare into the camera with those beautiful eyes, heavily accented with eyeshadow, looking like he hasn't slept in a week, before delivering a grand speech about truth and justice.

But you all completely overlooked Jean-Luc Picard

Of course Star Trek would come out on top

Let us organize a series of duels:

Captain James T. Kirk vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi

Mr. Spock vs. Yoda

Bones vs. Darth Vader😁

Captain Jean-Luc Picard vs. Han Solo

Han Solo Klingon vs. Chewbacca Chewie

Borg drone vs. Clone Trooper

Tom Paris vs. Fett

Place your bets!

Does anyone have further suggestions for fights?

That bald Frenchman with the British accent isn't even in the same league as Star Wars.

Just look back at the Generations film, where that idiot wouldn't have stood a chance without Kirk stepping in to save him.

Kirk is a total icon 🙂
And Spock is an icon too 🙂

Let’s break this down: Kirk vs Kenobi -> Kirk doesn't stand a chance (unless you count surviving three seconds longer by not ripping his shirt off)

Spock vs Yoda -> It’s a draw 🙂

Dr. Bones vs. Darth Vader
LOL 😁, but seriously, who could actually take on Vader (or Yoda)?
Q, well, I suppose Q might (maybe) stand a chance 🙂

Captain Jean-Luc Picard vs. Han Solo
Now, this is getting complicated.
There is plenty of room for debate here.

Klingon vs. Chewbacca Chewie
I'm thinking Chewie would walk away with this; those Klingons don't have a prayer against him.

Borg drone vs. Clone Trooper
Here is the thing: if the drone adapts to the trooper's blaster, the trooper's life just got significantly harder. If it hasn't adapted yet, then it all comes down to how good the trooper's aim is.

Tom Paris vs. Fett
I might have expected this kind of take from someone else, but from you, Richard Howard2????
You're insulting the guy; Tom Paris is just a disaster.

Data vs. R2D2 and C3PO
This matchup is completely unfair.
Data is an Android, whereas these others are just droids (and one was built by a kid), though I still think C3PO might manage to bore him to sleep. 🙂

I think a fight between Grand Admiral Thrawn vs. Khan would be interesting.
Who do you think comes out on top?
And if you aren't feeling Thrawn, Grand Moff Tarkin works too—I'm not picky. 🙂

Data is an Android, whereas these robots—including the one that kid built—are different, though I suspect C-3PO could probably put him to sleep.

Hahaha, honestly one of the better jokes lately...

You totally overlooked two crucial matchups:

Padmé Amidala vs Captain Janeway
Man, I have no idea who would actually come out on top—I just know they’d both end up exhausted by the end of it. 😛

7/9 - Anakin Skywalker
If he had just fallen for her instead of Amidala, the whole timeline would've pivoted. She probably would've shut him down cold ("Love is irrelevant."), he would've taken the hint, never become a Jedi, never fall to the dark side, never deal with asthma, and never try to bring balance to the Force. Basically, Palpatine would have ruled in peace and prosperity for the next thousand years while the Fett clan just kept multiplying. What a beautiful version of Space that would've been.

PS: Whenever I'm arguing with Trekkies, I'm always Team Star Wars!

Neelix vs. Jar Jar Binks 😁 😁 😁

If Jar Jar went and trashed everything in his kitchen, Neelix would absolutely lose his mind by the end of the fight.😉

I honestly think the Star Trek fans would come out on top, plus I just vibe with them more...
