if we’re talking about a discussion happening on a subforum specifically designed for that topic, then sure, fine, no problem at all but the way you're trying to spin this just isn't going to fly
Look, no news site is inherently the enemy here, it’s just those certain users who treat every single thread like a personal billboard for their favorite outlets by spamming links everywhere A forum should actually be a space where people engage in real conversation and debate ideas, rather than just puking links all over the place like it's some kind of digital flyer distribution service
because honestly, if anyone actually gives a damn, they’ll just go click the link and read it themselves anyway it’s the same deal with all these other links floating around that smell fishy, especially when they clearly only exist to serve their own little agendas
but since our dear lady is apparently blushing and acting all bashful about the praise, she went ahead and asked for the thread to be locked the woman is used to actually putting in the work rather than chasing after some Hollywood celebrity lifestyle
So, this was your big plan, huh? Just coming over to a different sub to spam your nonsense? Alright, I see how it is. Now the whole picture is finally starting to make sense.
If you want to go around peddling those half-baked conspiracy theories, go find some other corner of the internet to bother.
Alright, look, can we please just drop any future links right here in this thread, or if you really want to be private about it, just shoot them over to Tyndall or hit me up via DM instead
I mean, if this whole subforum was basically just riding on the coattails of Guggenheim anyway, then honestly, we might as well just pull the plug and shut it down.
Alex Cook said:Since we’re on the subject, I honestly can’t wrap my head around how this thread has managed to stay alive for this long or why there are so many damn posts in here, especially when most people are just sticking their noses into business that has absolutely nothing to do with them.
There isn't anything inherently wrong with asking, but if I were running the show, I'd be pretty annoyed if someone came up to me with questions like "so how do you actually make money?" or "how much are you pulling in?"... it's even funnier because that same crowd gets all huffy and offended the second you give them a blunt "none of your business."
A little bit of advice for you too: just embrace the whole online forum thing and let go of all those worries that aren't even your problem to begin with.
Honestly, I just don't think there’s a single parent out there who isn't constantly being haunted by every conceivable anxiety under the sun, and frankly, you can't really untangle those fears from the whole experience of raising kids 🙂
Honestly, I feel like this kind of topic would be pretty useful over on the R&D boards and I don't see any reason why we couldn't start a similar thread over in the Psychology section to look at things from a slightly different angle, too.
ema1, everything's going to work itself out eventually, just you wait. but look, I’m asking for a little bit of common sense here—we can't just turn this entire forum into some massive, sprawling shopping mall, because that’s simply not what we're here for. I’m well aware that in certain corners of this site, "order" is more of a theoretical concept than an actual reality, but don't worry, we'll get things straightened out soon enough. Nobody is actually trying to kill off the subforum; if anything, the whole goal is to make this a much better, much more accessible place for everyone to hang out.
Since the person who actually started this whole thing lost access to their account because they couldn't stop messing around with the settings, I figure we might as well just lock this thread down too.
I’ve gone ahead and cleared out those old threads, so now Mr. Smoogj will step in to handle these chatters. Thanks for reaching out; it really helps keep this subforum from turning into a complete disaster area.🙂
Yeah, man, you’re absolutely killing it with the sarcasm here 😁 Look, I can't help it, I just had to laugh at this one When I mentioned your little outbursts before, I was talking about those posts where you stick your nose exactly where it doesn't belong, playing advocate for things you have no business weighing in on—which is actually why I already gave you a warning once upon a time You might think those posts of yours are deep or serious, but in the grand scheme of things, they’re more disruptive than this specific, snarky little one-liner you just dropped And honestly, I think we’re finally hitting the core issue here: the main drivers of a discussion should feel free to take a breather in some random chat thread, but they certainly don't have the right to derail a serious, high-quality debate just because they’re feeling bored or playful Nicholas King, it feels a little ridiculous that I even have to spell this out for you, because I assumed you understood that the sheer number of times people reach out asking you to moderate means you're respected and seen as objective, but we simply cannot run a community based on personal friendships or cliques It’s already hard enough as it is, and the only way to actually manage a massive platform like this is to maintain as much neutrality as possible while ensuring everyone gets the same rights and carries the same responsibilities That means the people you personally like aren't going to get any special treatment, and likewise, nobody else is going to get banned just because someone asked them to And that applies to everything, including that whole mess last night regarding the drama over Ex-Anais and Yildrim, regardless of how much we like or dislike anyone involved (myself included)
