Why is family being pushed so hard? in Close to Politics ·
I honestly feel like these kinds of questions—and this way of looking at family—can only come from people who don't have kids of their own, or perhaps those raised by divorced parents. I truly feel for them.
Insulting public figures and hate speech in the Politics subforum in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Just listen to this... outright insulting the country. 🤣

This reminds me of that old movie where Boris Dvornik plays a local sheriff—his favorite pastime was just sitting in a pub, watching the local crew play cards... whenever someone would let out a curse at the King (whether it was hearts, diamonds, or spades...), Boris would step in and hand out a fine for disrespecting the King and the Fatherland. 🤣

Regarding the glorification of the NDH—where exactly is that prohibited? Does anyone have the specific newspaper date and issue number? 🤷

Poor guy... we all know who the real driver is here anyway.😁

Even if nobody is more doped up than Kimi Räikkönen🤣
that alone makes him the winner☕

As for the visuals—it’s quite an interesting mix of shots here...🤣

Nico Rosberg — Hmm, the Monaco Grand Prix is my scene... looking good, feeling great... hey baby, come over here😁
Fernando Alonso — I'm actually a bit shy... maybe I'll just cover it up so it looks even bigger...
Mark Webber — Hmm, I wonder if I should just surprise them, or if I really ought to ask Pittwald first?
Newey — Solid aerodynamics—I'm dying to know where they hid that blown diffuser...🤔

For me, that old pervert on the far right is the standout... heaven knows what he's thinking about there...🤣

Well... there's an old saying in the States—you either pay the piper or you deal with the consequences.🤷

Isn't there a common saying that rain is what truly separates the great drivers from the rest—since the weather basically levels the playing field and minimizes the technical edge of the car?😍
On top of everything else, we have Monaco on the schedule—yet another street circuit.😁

So how on earth did Sebastian Vettel manage to snag pole position—with a full second lead, no less? 🍿
Wouldn't you expect the Maestro to be sitting at least three seconds ahead of whoever is in second place? — I mean, that's just how it should work.😬🤣

Doping—it’s really the only explanation that makes sense here... which means the theory was right all along. 😁
steelmaker83 said:Tell that to yourself, then you won't get penalized. And if I'm an idiot just because I'm stating facts—fine, so be it.

The fact that you can't hold a discussion without resorting to insults says everything about you. And having an "idol"—lol, an idol—says even more.

Since you clearly need someone to worship, you could have at least picked a relevant character...
ron dennis 🤣

What's the actual truth here? It's that Nico Hulkenberg hasn't won a title in nearly a decade—and despite his stints with top-tier teams since then, nothing has come his way. That seems to be the only reality worth discussing, right?

The fact that you can't hold a conversation without getting defensive says everything about you—and having an "idol," lol, an actual idol—well, that speaks for itself.

Who's insulting you? Honestly, this constant glorification of Fernando Alonso is almost as exhausting as listening to Jason Campbell70... it’s like I should hand you an award for being the loudest Nico Hulkenberg fan out there. You should be proud of that, not offended.

As for how to debate... I don't really care... how am I supposed to have a rational discussion in a thread that's 110% fueled by pure fandom?

If you're so desperate for an idol, you could have at least picked someone relevant...
Ron Dennis🤣

Ron is a legend.🙂

So, you're disgusted by a guy because he dared to shake up the establishment? No. Cheating, betrayals, blackmail, and lying are completely foreign to McLaren—a team that was actually caught red-handed, and not just with a finger in the cookie jar, but waist-deep in it.

But sure, you're all about moral integrity. I get it. You probably spend your free time rescuing whales.

If all of this turns your stomach, you have fundamentally misunderstood the sport you chose to watch. To break your childhood illusion: yes, people cheat, lie, steal, deceive, and stab each other in the back—with knives, or rather sabers—on a daily basis. It is a core component of the circus.

And yet, you find it repulsive when a driver uses those exact same methods to rattle the big fish.

You have seriously missed the point of this sport.

Look, even a "good kid" like Vettel is a little brat. That's just how it is. There is no mercy for the naive.

I’d tell you that you’re being an idiot, but I wouldn't want to get a penalty for it.🤣

My idol in Formula 1 is Ron Dennis. So much for moral high grounds and childhood illusions.🤣
steelmaker83 said:How can I not? Your trolling regarding Fernando Alonso and Ferrari is just as "productive" as anything coming from the other side...

Except it's obvious to me that all you McLaren fans are having a massive identity crisis right now. Your prince ran away and left an empty stable, leaving nothing behind but......

I am not trolling about Alonso....Trolling is intentionally being obtuse just to derail a discussion, which isn't my goal at all. It's simply that I cannot wrap my head around a person who has disgraced every single team he's ever driven for through dishonest acts, cheating, lies, rigging, blackmail, and betrayal.......given how much that individual repulses me, I find myself being quite discrete and measured when discussing him—certainly more composed than those who, if they could, would be staring at his backside 👍

By the way... there is no identity crisis at McLaren; we might discuss a crisis in results, but certainly not an identity crisis. And if you knew anything about the McLaren mentality—or their fans—you wouldn't dream of calling a driver a "prince." Everyone knows who the true prince is in the United Kingdom 😁
steelmaker83 said:I can actually stand behind my words. Can you?

Good grief—stand behind my own biased, fanboyish take? Please. I value my own opinions just as much as yours. Not one bit 😁

I’m just not out here harassing anyone about Alonso. 🤣
steelmaker83 said:Please, just show me one single post—not four or five—where you actually attempted to have a normal conversation.

Well, 🤦Jason Campbell70
finally decided to show up.
nimblesurfer17 said:That was a fantastic race—really enjoyed watching that one!☕

The final showdown was quite the spectacle—even for those cars without DRS! Seeing the McLarens and Lewis-Mark battling it out like that—it really keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Huge congratulations to Jason Campbell70! Well deserved.

And of course, we can't forget about Kimi and Romain...🙏

Ferrari... honestly, where do we even begin? It’s such a rollercoaster—one minute you're riding high on pure adrenaline, and the next, you're left staring at the screen wondering how things went sideways so fast. I was chatting with a buddy of mine over coffee the other day about it, and he had the same sentiment—it's that classic mix of absolute brilliance and baffling decisions. They have all the ingredients for greatness, but sometimes it feels like they just can't quite find the right rhythm to pull it all together. Still, despite the headaches, I can't help but stay optimistic. There's just something about that scarlet livery that keeps me coming back for more!🤣

🤣

Hold on—how many times did he get slapped around by the actual contenders on track today? Four? Five?

The only thing worth noting was him getting past Lewis Hamilton, but let’s be honest—Lewis was struggling big time out there today...
The rest of the race was basically just watching him weave through cars that were significantly slower than the Ferrari...
Look, you guys might not want to hear it, but it's time to face reality: the Ferrari is a damn good car this year.

Your logic—much like Gum’s mood today—is completely off base.....

If three bottom-tier drivers like Max Pile and Talos are rambling about a "master," you really have to wonder if they're being serious or just sarcastic... though, seeing how the master drove—absolutely flawlessly—the answer seems pretty obvious to me.🤣
James Roberts87 said:It’s honestly embarrassing for Button. He played dirty against his own teammate on track,
but when he's up against the actual competition, he looks like he's just standing still while they lap him.🙂🙂

That's nonsense. Jenson has made it clear twice now—he puts all the blame squarely on Whitmarsh's shoulders.🤣
That little guy showed plenty of guts today—though clearly none of the sense required—but hey, I'll take it. A solid result for McLaren today!
McLaren has finally stepped up their game—we’ve officially caught up to Ford, Lotus, and Mercedes...

I finally tracked her down 👋

even if she isn't quite the one—she's still pretty decent 🤣

generally speaking, there are some good ones out in Bahrain... they just tend to stay under the radar 🙂
Jason Campbell70 said:If that’s what you call a "blue beauty," then I guess I'm just some "green Martian." 🙏

By the way—GO Felipe GO! 🎉👋

I find the lady in the shot pretty funny—🤷 and by that, I mean the blonde in the background, not the one front and center. 😬 Well, you know what they say about personal taste... 🙂

P.S. Speaking of taste... where's the boss man? 🤣
