Jason Campbell70, Maminho, and Edward Howard2 are officially clinching the top spots on our forum's all-time "Biggest Peasants" leaderboard.

I hate to say it, but we all know who the real Peasant of Formula 1 is here.🙂 Forum Institution 🙂
Edward Howard2 said:Massa basically clawed his way back mid-last season and has started this one off pretty strong...
Didn't you catch all the hype about his speed lately? He actually outpaced Fernando Alonso in qualifying for four races straight! Now, suddenly, Massa isn't the yardstick for speed anymore? 🤦😂

I'm telling you... if Ferrari were this absolute monster of a car, Massa would be walking onto the podium without breaking a sweat. ☕

To me, Massa was never the standard for speed—not before spring, and certainly not now—plus, I suspect he doesn't care how fast he drives if he knows he's never allowed to be quicker than Louis.

Qualifying pace? You've got to be kidding me.
It wasn't that Massa was fast; it was just that Louis was slow. 🙂 😁
Jason Campbell70 said:What exactly are you trying to prove? 😂

Stefan Delić, the floor is yours. 🙂

It sounds like you've developed quite the obsession with some young guy's backside 🙂- which is... a choice.

If you've already gone through with it, then fine—I'll just keep looking elsewhere—but if you haven't... well, that's another story altogether.
Edward Howard2 said:I thought we settled this ages ago... Kimi won in the USA because Sebastian Vettel basically handed it to him by being incompetent and just trailing behind Sutherlands... ☕

But today, everyone is suddenly talking about how Ferrari has this monster of a car...

Fernando Alonso: 3rd -> 1st
Felipe Massa: 5th -> 6th

Back when Ferrari was actually a monster, Felipe Massa was grabbing podiums left and right without breaking a sweat. Today? He dropped a spot from where he started, and it wasn't even because of a botched pit stop or a driver error... there were drivers from five different teams finishing ahead of him...
Look, Ferrari isn't junk; it’s a solid car. But was it some unstoppable beast today? Not a chance...

Massa isn't a benchmark for speed anymore—I mean, when was the last time he truly showed pace? Ever since the spring season started, he’s been an irrelevant veteran in every sense of the word.

The Ferrari is good, and Fernando Alonso is good, but... the season is long and the competition is only just warming up. I wouldn't base my optimism on a single race.

Maybe skip the grand opening—just a thought. Every time you take the lead, McLaren seems to stumble. Take a breather first.
By the way, that was a pretty dull race. Jenson Button played it safe with the tires—classic move—and Sergio Pérez struggled out there. I’m really hoping they bring in Kimi Räikkönen or Sebastian Vettel next season. This current lineup just feels lackluster and uninspiring; looking at how this car performs, Lewis would likely be fighting for the win right now.

Man, this just isn't it...

Look, you've gotta know how to take a loss when your favorite driver tanks. You have to handle it like a total gentleman. 😁

In my opinion, Jenson Button is really the only one who handles defeat like a true gentleman. 🙂
Well... they’re going to tear through the competition, even if they have to start from the back of the grid—mark my words. 🙂

For those who appreciate things a bit more organic 😁
Tyler Bennett5 said:redheron12, you can't seriously be thinking about giving up on your favorite team after just one season where
they fail to grab a single win and consider making it into Q3 or picking up a handful of points a massive success.
Every team goes through its ups and downs, and McLaren is certainly no exception. If you take a quick look back at their historical performance, you'll
notice they tend to find their stride much more effectively during the second half of any given decade. So, let's just have a little patience and stay optimistic.

Well, honestly—I've grown used to this rollercoaster over the thirty years I've been following McLaren. They won't be a total disaster this year either; they'll likely snatch at least one race victory even with this bucket of bolts we're seeing.
It seems to me their real focus right now is the MP4-12C—between the Loeb project, GT3 series, and endurance racing... they seem preoccupied.

By the way, regarding that MP4-12C... man, what a sound. It reminds me of the old Formula cars from back in the day. 🙏
What are your thoughts on where McLaren stands this year? I honestly don't see them fighting for titles with this junk—though I'd settle for them just not being an embarrassment. Word is they've identified the core issues and are prepping a "service pack 1" to hopefully see a much better showing at the Vietnam Grand Prix 🙄

I’m finding it exhausting to root for McLaren lately—just constant, baffling mistakes, scandals, and terrible results. Without Ron Dennis around, it feels like we've lost our way; the drivers are mediocre, and the car is always a mess—whether it's tires, balance, or downforce... it's been years of this struggle 😕

It really feels like Formula 1 isn't even a priority for McLaren anymore 😢
Terry Carter2 said:Let’s put in some effort and vote in the newly posted poll for this thread to support our most reasonable proposal!
Under this suggestion, any scenario where more than 75% of the drivers are ranked identically within the full forecast would be classified as a tie, bringing us perfectly in line with the existing regulations.

If this democratic approach to updating our current rules proves successful, we'll move on to tackling the points system right after this poll concludes!
😁

These poll questions are pretty pointless—you completely missed the mark on what this thread is actually about.

Maybe you should add an option like: Copying is fine, unless the people being copied decide to file a complaint. 😁

And from what I can see, the crowd is overwhelmingly voting to just "keep everything exactly as it was."

Are they referring to the rule change from a couple of days ago, or the original set of rules we started with? 😁
Terry Carter2 said:So, am I the original here, or just some cheap clone?
😁

I honestly couldn't say—it’s really more a matter of your own conscience anyway.🙂
Terry Carter2 said:I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about; take that up with the moderators! 😁

Just kidding!

Don't you think the competitors have a right to know there are people among them cheating in the championship?
Don't you think the competitors have a right to know that such a player will be allowed to continue playing in this year's championship?

In my view, cheating should be sanctioned much like it was back in 2010—by disqualifying all multiple clones from the current season and banning them from next year's competition. It shouldn't just result in an apology and an invitation to keep playing. Doing this sends a dangerous message: "Go ahead, clone yourself... and if you get caught, the worst that happens is your clone gets removed, while the original can keep competing as if nothing happened." 🤣 You even have a joker card to ensure you don't miss a round... 🤣 and then you just find another colleague (or simply create a new clone and be more careful next time). 🤣

The fundamental issue is that this specific situation isn't explicitly defined in the rulebook, so I have to rely on my own judgment.

The Commissioner is acting here as both the organizer and a moderator, so they are aware of the situation, but that doesn't mean they are obligated to act in a certain way. A tournament director isn't required to dig through the PZK, nor are the moderators obligated to submit reports regarding bans directly to the Commissioner.

A ban, in its essence, isn't necessarily permanent (as we've seen even with supposed permanent bans), and there is no guarantee that a competitor won't be reinstated by a higher authority before the deadline for the next forecast.

Every competitor in this championship is welcome, provided they respect the rules and are prepared to face the consequences if they violate them!

In my management system, I did not account for the withdrawal or expulsion of competitors from the championship!

Those are, in short, the reasons behind the decision to allow both banned competitors to continue in the championship, strictly following all existing rules!
If you or anyone else knows of any other clones in the championship, feel free to speak up!
😁

Good grief, Terry Carter2—until you actually became a mod, you spent ten years just posting emojis. You've always had that same avatar (ševa) and haven't even hit a hundred posts total.

If we're going to talk about clones, you're the first one on my radar. 🙂
Let's not jump the gun 🙂

There’s an internal struggle happening behind the scenes—and there's absolutely no guarantee the team won't start complaining once they see where they land in the standings 🙂
stormybadger8 said:Since when did playing on a team become a marriage?🤣
So what, am I supposed to turn bigamist now and marry my teammate or something? What kind of logic is this?😬

I don't really feel like breaking everything down right now—the bottom line is that a teammate isn't just another player; they're someone you share specific goals with, though unfortunately, we lack the tools to actually achieve them. So, I'll suggest "copying" as a potential tool—keeping in mind that a teammate could report you for copying, which adds an interesting psychological and tactical layer to the game. 🙂
In addition, I propose we establish a Drivers and Teams Association. Representatives from this association would have veto power over the rules—just so everything isn't left entirely up to Terry Carter2.
Plus, we could sign a concordat with the site administrators regarding the forum rules that apply to competitors. Membership in the association could be paid—symbolically, maybe ten bucks—and those funds could cover cheap hosting for next season. We could store all the offers in a database, making it easy to calculate points, rankings, and standings—and if there's any money left over, the winner gets a round of BBQ on us. 😛
stormybadger8 said:Look, Gleč, I don't care. Whatever the moderator or the majority of players decide, that's what happens.
But if that's the case, the rules need to actually match up... both for the competition and the subforum.
It's honestly ridiculous when one set of rules says one thing and another set says the exact opposite.😉

Regarding the actual copying—honestly, I don't see any difference whether someone is on the same team or not.🙄
Someone please explain to me why there's even a distinction here.🤣
If copying is allowed, then it should be allowed for everyone, regardless of whose prediction they grabbed. The only real question is whether we decide to penalize that kind of thing with points or not.☕

Because at the end of the day, there's no real difference between you copying Patina's prediction, me copying Patina's, or you copying mine.☕
You can't predict ahead of time whose guess will be better or worse anyway.
And copying is literally just guessing, no different than pulling a result out of thin air.😉

The only thing that truly matters is that the rules stay the same for every player, no matter their team. No playing favorites:
"Oh, I copied my teammate and it's fine because we agreed..." vs "TBFov copied my teammate so he needs to be punished, haha."🙂
That's just a recipe for endless arguments and total nonsense.

That’s like me saying it’s perfectly fine to sleep with TBFov’s wife—simply because TBF does it too. 🤷
Next round, I’m planning to coordinate my picks with Patina—she’ll take mine, and we'll build our predictions together. They might not be carbon copies, but I expect them to align for over 75% of the drivers.

To me, that’s the whole point of being part of a team—it’s about collaborative effort—and if that isn't allowed, then playing in a group loses its purpose entirely.

I'm not talking about just literal copy-pasting, by the way.
stormybadger8 said:How can an aggrieved player also be a teammate?😂
A teammate is only an "aggrieved player" if their buddy let them copy their terrible prediction.😬

If they copied a good one (meaning it actually scored points), then everyone else is the one getting screwed.☕

P.S. record this 😁
2. Any blatantly obvious and intentional copying of someone else's prediction—regardless of whether the "real" prediction is submitted later—will be treated as the worst kind of trolling. It's seen as an attempt to spark mass chaos in the competition and will result in an automatic ban of 3 days or more. This rule primarily targets deliberate copy-pasting and similar "provocations."

And there's also the whole thing about clone accounts...
1. Any competitor participating in the same contest using both their original handle and a clone account will face a ban of 7 days or more on their original handle, plus a permanent ban for the clone.

Terry Carter2, if you're actually okay with people copying, just change the subforum rules.
Even though it seems irrelevant here, anyone who remembers the old fights and nonsense over copying and clones knows exactly why the rules are set this way.

I’ve said it a hundred times already—I have absolutely no intention of following the rules regarding this championship. The forum, the parent company, Monitor Doo, and the owner aren't involved in organizing or managing any of this, so frankly, I couldn't care less about their regulations.

Regarding the whole debate about copying—personally, I’m all for it. I think it's perfectly fine if teammates decide to put out identical predictions.
