But let's be real, this isn't some contest to see who has the best personality; it's Formula 1.
I’m still sticking to my guns here. That comment you made, even with the link, just doesn't hold water. Just because there's something written between the lines doesn't mean it actually says what you think it's suggesting.
Obviously it's not a character contest, but still, history and F1 fans tend to value character just as much as they value the drivers taking home the titles. Honestly, sometimes people respect a driver with real grit even more if they never won a championship, or maybe just once, compared to some guy who racked up multiple titles but has zero soul.
Nicholas Newman2 said:Why twist the facts? It’s not like nobody's gonna click the link and see what's actually written. Nowhere does Hamilton say this isn't about the penalty; he's just saying if he were in their shoes, he'd do the exact same thing.
Read the whole thing. Look, Hamilton is a hell of a driver, but he’s not some untouchable legend like those NFL players who "accidentally" miss a call just to make a point, or some coach who tells his team to let a goal slide because the other side got an easy one. He'll go on record calling a penalty stupid, sure, but if you actually read between the lines, that's exactly what he's doing.
Biggest question on my mind today is how long those soft tires are actually going to last for the top ten starters—excluding Ferrari and Mercedes, obviously. If they fall off a cliff early, Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen are basically just gonna be cleaning themselves right off the track, along with Daniel Ricciardo, Pierre Gasly, and whatever other randoms follow them. But, if they actually find some decent grip at the start and manage to hang on for about 15 laps because the track surface gets all gummy over the weekend, we might actually see a decent race. We could even see Gasly playing hero during that opening stint. We'll see what happens.
Lewis says they're dropping 4-5 tenths in the final sector compared to the Ferrari. Honestly, I'm just praying Ricciardo pulls some kind of insane, chaotic move at the start tomorrow.
Hulk Hogan unfortunately locked up that front left tire going into the hairpin, which probably would've given him a better result if he hadn't. Didn't sound exactly thrilled on the team radio about how things shook out either.

Solid lap from Seba. Ricciardo finally showed some life. Tomorrow's gonna be a mess. Honestly, I've got a feeling Ferrari just doesn't have the long run pace to keep up with Mercedes-Benz.
Ricciardo's been awake the last few races, but Renault is basically asleep at the wheel. Now they're actually showing up.

How many times in a row has Stroll been getting knocked out in Q1? Like, what is this, his eleventh or twelfth straight exit? 🙏
Just let the guy finish out the season already. Honestly, his whole comeback arc is one of the most legendary stories in Formula 1. Just chill out.
There’s just so many variables at play here... like, did Mercedes actually order a fresh engine to last through the end of the season? Usually, you aren't gonna push a brand-new power unit to its absolute limit during the first practice sessions anyway.
