Best (and worst) non-football moments in Soccer ·
Look, I don't know if we've already beaten this topic to death or whatever... but... anyway... what’s that one specific moment that just stuck in your brain? You know, something that felt huge, but didn't actually have anything to do with football. Just a random core memory. I'll drop some of mine below so you guys get exactly what I'm talking about;

José Mourinho. That’s it. Simple as that. People love to overanalyze everything, but sometimes you just gotta look at the man himself. It's all there.
Costinha buries one for Porto against Manchester United... then the camera cuts to José Mourinho. He’s practically leaping out of his technical area, vaulting over the barrier, sprinting toward the corner flag where the guys are celebrating, waving his arms around like a madman with that black coat fluttering behind him. Honestly, legendary stuff. Especially if you actually know how he usually acts when they score. Usually, the guy is a stone wall.

2. TUTA
I can't even remember the exact year or who they were playing against, but that guy basically vanished after that. Picture this: he scores a winner in stoppage time for Venezia to make it 2-1, right? He tucks it in just five minutes before the whistle, and then suddenly his own teammates start chasing him down across the pitch and kicking him in the ass—literally. Poor guy had no clue the whole thing was rigged and that the game was supposed to end in a 1-1 draw. Total disaster.

Montella. Just... Montella. Honestly, I don't even know where to start with this guy. It’s like watching a slow-motion car crash in downtown Chicago—you know it's coming, you can't look away, and you just end up feeling exhausted by the whole mess. He’s got that vibe, you know? Like he thinks he’s playing 4D chess while the rest of us are just trying to figure out which way is north. It’s frustrating. You see the same patterns over and over, the same tactical hiccups that feel like they should have been solved months ago. But no, we’re still here, stuck in the same loop. It’s exhausting. Total drain on the soul.
Remember that season when Roman finally grabs the title? Absolute chaos. They’re playing at home against Perugia and somehow end up losing 1-2. In the 92nd minute, Montella scores—but he clearly stops the ball with his hand first. Matterazzi is chasing him all over the pitch, and the entire Perugia squad is losing their minds protesting the call. We’re all sitting there glued to the screen waiting for the replay, and what do we get? Nothing. Seriously, out of every single possible angle—I’m talking six or seven different views—there’s always some guy blocking the cameraman's line of sight. Not one shot shows Montella touching the ball with his hand. Even though, if you actually look at the trajectory, there is literally no other logical explanation for what happened. Just pure robbery.

4. CAPPELLO
There are endless examples, but one specific moment sticks in my head. Roman is up 3-0 in Milwaukee, then out of nowhere, Panucci mishandles a pass to Tomassi in the 93rd minute and the ball just sails out of bounds. The camera cuts to the manager, who absolutely loses his mind at Panucci. He’s screaming, cursing him out, waving his arms around like a maniac, slams a water bottle on the floor, and stomps over to the bench, still ranting at his assistant while he sits down. Total lunatic.

Jimmy Jump. Just hearing the name brings back all that chaos. It’s always the same story, isn't it? Some guy thinks he's a legend because he can leap over a barrier, and suddenly everyone's losing their minds. Honestly, I've seen it a thousand times. People acting like it's some grand statement when it's really just a way to get kicked out of the arena by security before the second quarter even starts. It's predictable. Everything is so predictable these days. You see someone like him and you already know how the next ten minutes are going to play out. Same script, different face. Just another distraction from the actual game.
I mean, do I even need to say it? Man just throws a Barcelona flag right in your face. The guy's a god. Period.

Whatever, this is pretty much pointless.
Enjoy.
Screw uniforms.

complexes:

So, you guys claim to be die-hard fans of R.E.M., one of the absolute legends, yet somehow the Red Hot Chili Peppers pull bigger numbers. It clearly eats at you because you’re convinced R.E.M. is the superior band...

but let's be real, we all know Radiohead is miles ahead of everyone else.

what does Peppers even have to do with R. E. M.?

you guys got some issues to work through or something?

long live the king for another hundred years... coz we're all so wasted we wouldn't care if you took us out anyway...

Anyway, won't bore you too much, don't want the kid getting annoyed. 😁

Keep it quiet, man, at least I’m not some total sellout!!
buahahhahahahahahha.

Anyway, funny story... about yesterday's exam.... professor told me I was late and couldn't take it, but I showed up at 12:55 and the thing was scheduled for 1. damn.

Today I wrote an essay on Marxism for English class, results come out tomorrow.... I doubt it, I highly doubt it.
And I've got an oral exam too... total disaster.

My girl hangs out with me in bed every single day. She's good. hehehe.

sick.

ahhhh
just like fiona passed shells to my classmates...

So I remembered something else today, check this out ollie.

Like a week or two before the US bombers started hammering Iraq, I walked into school (god, I was just a kid back then!) wearing a shirt I'd made that said NO WAR! and NO TERRORISM! ... obviously I got laughed at by a few people but whatever, what matters is that two days after I showed up, there was this documentary on TV about how and where the Iraqis were hiding their super dangerous weapons. They were showing satellite footage of these little houses, circling them on the screen saying "there it is! there it is!"... then the next day, a handful of my classmates literally came up to me and said:

Did you see that?
Well, look at you, you want them (the Iraqis) to kill the whole world?
Are you insane?
Now you're out here acting anti-American when these guys (the Iraqis) are five times worse?
Your brain's been totally washed!

Just another one of those ridiculous stories, right?

life seems so unreal, please let me put my head between your legs just once again....

Can't wait to hit the beach. Because it's beautiful and it actually calms me down...

life rules.

and don't forget:

THE KIND OF CITIZENS YOU HAVE - THE KIND OF POLITICIANS YOU GET - THE KIND OF GOVERNMENT - THE KIND OF COUNTRY - THE KIND OF WORLD...

Whatever, they can shove it up their ass for all I care, I'm just gonna stay with my little girl, she doesn't give a damn about any of this, and I love being in sync with her....

hehehe

Glad to hear it. But honestly, aren't you being a little too modest?

Alice in Chains—man, just let me sit with that for a second. If I had to step into their shoes, honestly? It wouldn't be some grand, cinematic transformation. It would just be a heavy, slow descent into that specific kind of beautiful, gritty exhaustion. Pretend I'm them? Fine. I’d probably just be staring at a rain-slicked street in Seattle, feeling that familiar weight in my chest, wondering if the static in my head is getting louder or if the world is just getting quieter. It wouldn't be about the fame or the lights; it would be about that raw, unfiltered ache. That feeling where you're caught between wanting to scream and just wanting to fade into the background noise of a dive bar at 2 AM. It’s not even about the music, really. It's about that specific headspace—that dark, swirling vortex where everything feels too much and not enough all at once. If I were them, I wouldn't be looking for an exit. I'd just be leaning into the shadows, finding a weird kind of peace in the tension. Just living in the middle of the storm.
