I think they call that kind of agent a 'surveyor' (not sure if I'm spelling that right in English). And yeah, you've got plenty of surveying firms all over the States.
Are you trying to say some young (hungry) tiger is gonna jump on her chest...

What kind of cat weighs 26 pounds? 😲

My grandma used to raise us on tea instead of milk, I guess...
Bananas and oranges were basically a once-a-year luxury, maybe if we were lucky.
Meat usually just meant some scraps floating in a bean stew. We didn't have those modern pigs that they just fatten up in a year or two; back then, you had these wilder ones you’d feed for six years just to end up with two sausages. So, meat mostly meant blood sausages or pork cracklings—and they'd throw everything into those sausages, hooves, offal, stuff like that. Tongue was actually considered a delicacy...
And yeah, nobody was running trichinella tests back then...

Any other info?
Has anyone else dealt with this? in Health ·
So, this was happening to my buddy over at the office...
mini strokes before one big one hit him...

Turns out I’m actually terrified... but seriously, just go see a doctor...
As for the gambling habit, there are plenty of casinos for that.
You guys are losing it...

Honestly, I think 80% of being healthy just comes down to stressing out less and actually moving your body more...
My grandma passed away recently at 82, and it was a long process because, honestly, most of her organs were still in great shape...
She never really obsessed over health stuff or anything... she just stayed busy and worked hard.

As far as liver function goes, I'm pretty sure it can still work just fine even if something like 80% of the tissue is messed up by cirrhosis...

When you look at companies like Herbalife and the big pharmaceutical giants, they actually have one thing in common:
THEY ALL MAKE THEIR MONEY OFF PEOPLE BEING SICK OR TRYING TO BE HEALTHY!!
A little something regarding science and nutrition...
Back when I was a teenager, my skin was a total disaster zone—just covered in breakouts. I went to see doctors who all kept telling me the exact same thing: "It’s fine, don't worry about it." And I just looked at them and said, "Look, you go walk down the street looking like this and then come back and tell me it's perfectly okay." 😠

Anyway... after trying everything under the sun, I eventually stumbled upon black radish, and after years of struggling, everything cleared up in just a few weeks.
How?

I tried to wrap my head around it, and here is my layman's take on what happened:
The human body produces certain types of fats to keep the sebaceous glands running... but if the system isn't getting enough amino acids or specific vitamins—I don't even know the names anymore—it ends up creating a lower-quality version. It’s like a cheaper substitute that requires more volume to work.
And since you need more of it, it just builds up and eventually clogs your pores. Then the bacteria move in, you get inflammation, and before you know it, you're dealing with lymphatic issues and whatnot... etc., etc.

Now, look, I respect science and I value being methodical...
But honestly, it’s kind of embarrassing when an old lady at a farmer's market helps me more than some MD ever could.

It’s from a tea plant, but apparently super young—like, ten times more antioxidants than green tea.
I drink at least half a liter a day, and while everyone else around me is shivering and catching colds, I’m just out here rocking short sleeves.

What kind of tea even is that? Where do you get it? Is it gross or actually good? Man, tell me everything!
Honestly, strike me down right now if she didn't have a blood pressure cuff sitting at home...
I mean, I know she was dropping thousands on those high-end mattresses... so she probably grabbed a blood pressure monitor from $33..

Anyway, I need to vent here just to drag you guys back to the actual topic...
The illness itself matters..

But..

And how people actually deal with being sick..
It’s just wrong when someone makes an illness their whole personality...
Like, imagine me walking into a hospital, sitting there in the waiting room... listening to old ladies go on and on about how "oh, you wouldn't believe how sick I am..." and all that nonsense...
I swear, I'd hand them a deck of cards or a chess set just so they'd shut up about it for five minutes...

Like, does anyone have any special family remedies passed down through the generations?

I mean, I definitely have some... but I'm not sharing. I guess my posts just go totally unnoticed anyway. 😛
eh... I guess I'm just being ignored here
Here’s a quick story about the whole "healthy lifestyle" obsession:

I used to live in an apartment building right above this elderly couple, maybe in their early 60s. The wife was one of those people who obsessed over every single thing she ate—she thought she was some kind of health guru. Since I was doing some consulting work for big pharma companies back then, I always had an opinion or two, and she’d get all excited to pick my brain...
But... when she finally asked me what the actual secret to staying healthy was, I just told her to get moving, go for walks, and stop stressing out so much...

Her husband was always a bit of a grouch, probably because he had to drag this hypochondriac around everywhere and listen to her constant lectures on nutrition and whatever else. Honestly, his idea of a good time was just heading down to the local pub to grab a beer or something stronger with the guys...

Anyway...
The wife ended up breaking her hip first... then she had a stroke... then another stroke... and eventually, she passed away...
He isn't quite so grumpy anymore, I guess. Now he just spends most of his time at the bar, basically living there...

And look, he might end up having issues from the drinking later on, but I honestly think he lived a much healthier life than she did...

That’s why I can't stand the people who spend all day reading labels on granola boxes, or the ones who know the chemical name of every single additive in their food. They obsess over scientific studies trying to rediscover common sense that everyone used to know instinctively, wasting tons of money and resources just to prove things we already understood...
I’m also against the parents who basically deny their kids proper medical care because they’re convinced that something like an antibiotic is useless...
I guess you could say different autoimmune issues are their own thing... but then you've got stuff like asthma or allergies, which seem way more common in people who grew up in these super sterile, sanitized environments... you know, kids who didn't get hit with every little cold or flu growing up like we did.

For example...
back in my hometown in rural Iowa, nobody really even talked about ragweed allergies... mostly because that stuff grows everywhere out there anyway.
So, how old is the little guy, and what's he actually dealing with?
I honestly feel like slyraven82 belongs to some kind of cult where they aren't even allowed to take medication (maybe Jehovah's Witnesses or something)...

Look, I've definitely overdone it on meds myself at times, but I don't think they're actually all that bad..

And as for eating healthy, I just don't see why people make it out to be such an expensive or complicated ordeal.
Hey boss... just a quick, maybe stupid question here...

What’s the deal with fruit? You know, like bananas, apples, and all that stuff...
Is that actually better for you than things like coffee or chocolate?
Isn't it basically just a weak immune system behind almost every illness (except for the chronic stuff)? 🤔

Look, here’s an old-school remedy for you:
- Eat about 5 to 10 beef patties... make sure they're big... none of that soy crap or whatever else.
- Load up on onions with all that (plus a bit of pepper)
- Wash it all down with a little beer (supposedly good for the kidneys)

Then, once you're done with all that, just finish it off with some herbal tea...
What’s the actual connection between autoimmune issues and the flu anyway? 😕

Here’s my two cents...

Take a black radish, hollow it out, and fill it with honey... just let it sit for two weeks. After that, take about two small spoonfuls of that honey every single day...

And 2: WHISKEY!!!
I mean, have you ever actually seen a drunk guy with a cold? They just pass out in the gutters...
So, yeah, maybe just one little shot once a day...

I spent five weeks once up in Palm Springs...
no TV, no gadgets, no tech junk or whatever...
I gotta admit, I felt like a new man, even if those first seven days were just incredibly boring without all the stuff I'm usually glued to..
I really should do it again..
maybe once a year at least.
