In my opinion, the first version of The Regulator was the absolute best. The animation was incredibly well-executed. A total heavy hitter. 🙂 That one commercial right before the end was also great. Honestly, most of the rest was just okay... but the highlight of the entire evening was definitely that clip of the mayor. His speech was pure gold; he was stumbling through it like some swamp-born politician. Truly brilliant. I would watch him every single night.

Exactly. The first time I heard them, I immediately pictured some creepy doll shop where the toys come to life at midnight and start playing this kind of music.
Or was he just driving on a part of the car that wasn't designed for that purpose? 🙂
Excuse me?? 😢 😬
The concert sounds great. I’m already starting to set money aside for everything.

Between the devil and the deep blue sea... honestly, just clips from the performance? I found myself completely speechless, regardless of how you look at it. But the Cobra Killers were 🎉 🙂

By the way, does anyone know where Herzog filmed The Wild Blue Yonder?

If my memory serves me right, there will be a rerun this Sunday at 1...

I stripped off my clothes and came back holding a bag. Why? 🙂

Good grief. My timestamp was perfectly accurate. Even if I haven't seen the Russian Ark, that remains true. I refuse to sign off on a correction just because I used a word loosely due to lazy typing.
Let’s rephrase: I haven't watched the Russian Ark, but my timestamp was correct.
There, Jose Miller17, everyone is happy now. Let's move on.

Oh, absolutely. I'll sign my name to that. Even if I haven't sat through the Russian Ark mutant yet. 😳

Actually, now that Škoro and this one with the zipper—excuse me, the transducer—are overlapping, Škoro looks like he’s trying to push something 😁

Give me a break. Is that the Australian girl, the one who used to move things around with those little metal zippers?
aww 😍
It has been far too long since I thought about her...

In my opinion, the greatest advertisement ever published was that one in the New York Post looking for students to destroy books, paying by the ton. BY THE TON. Seriously.

Staying on topic; quoting the beaver...

"If there is anything more irritating than Lady Gaga, it's her fan base." 🙏 🙏 🙏

Oh yes, you were. And I was right there with you. image

Nina Nastasia New York

Nina has performed here several times already. Rather than discussing her history, I will offer a simple warning: she is playing in the small semi-circular hall at the Theater &td. This means ticket availability will be limited.

😍
When will tickets go on sale? Give me an approximate date.
I couldn't sit still, so I checked the One Take website. It turns out the next One Take Film Festival is scheduled for November 24–26, 2006.

Fine. In a way, it’s a good thing. At least I'll get some rest.🙂

At this rate, it will be physically impossible to attend every single film festival in New York City.

My current schedule looks like this:
Asian film week, Belgian film week, Czech film week, ZFF, Animafest, and Documentaria.
Even those minor screenings are piling up.
I am going to collapse.

And once the winter season kicks in... especially with Kieslowski scheduled for December.

It is true. This is easily one of the busiest autumns for cinema I have ever seen.

Fine, but that's in collaboration with the Kronos Quartet.

🤔 I am fairly certain I saw posters that explicitly included the word quartet.

I would attend, but $67..
I am currently preparing to rewatch Requiem for Dreams. A knowledgeable individual informed me yesterday that they composed the soundtrack for that film.
