Itβs alright, I guess... though sometimes it feels like sheβs trying way too hard to lean into that "quirky" persona. For instance, did she honestly think recommending Batalla would make her look effortlessly cool and underground? π

Sometimes she sounds great to me, and I can really get into it. But then there are those days where I just can't bring myself to try. She's definitely an acquired taste, I agree.

Listening to Vespertine felt incredibly weird to meβbut then again, when I watch the music videos, it doesn't sound strange at all. In fact, it actually sounds like a massive hit. I guess I just process things better when the visuals are part of the experience.
Anyway, she goes a bit overboard sometimes, but underneath it all, you're looking at an artist with serious talent. I think she just needs to find a little more self-control.

Honestly, Iβve always just accepted her being an eccentricβand I actually really dug her stuff from a few years back.
But this recent direction? Ugh... it's starting to feel less like art and more like she's just playing around with experiments for the sake of it.

Personally, I think Lady Gaga is nothing short of a genius! π Granted, she isn't exactly mainstream appeal material for everyone... especially considering some of her more recent albums! But honestly, with a voice like hers, she could probably read the Yellow Pages out loud and make it sound like art! π
And one more thing... seriously, why on earth is she married!? π’ π’

Look, I hear you... but honestly, no matter how you slice it, this album is one of a kind! π Itβs definitely not one of those records youβd blast at a house partyβI mean, sure, there are a few tracks that might work π , but it's more of a... well, you know... a deep solo listening experience! π
As for the concept? Man, that's what completely floored me during my first listen! π
But hey, like I said, Iβm such a huge fan of Lady Gaga that she could basically just read a phone book over a beat and I'd be hooked! π Plus, Iβve always had a soft spot for her Sugar Cubes era

Basically, when you listen to the whole album, you won't find a single traditional instrumentβeverything you're hearing is just human voices! π So, the beat is actually handled by Rahzel (any Hip-hop artist will know exactly what I mean! π ), mixed with a bit of Mike Patton and those soulful male and female American choirs! π

Of course I know him! Though, if I'm being honest, I don't really listen to hip-hop... or rap... per se. It's more that I tend to hang out with people who are into that kind of music, so I'll occasionally pick up something decent through them! π Honestly, though, those other two names have totally slipped past me!

She truly marches to the beat of her own drumβwhich, I suppose, is exactly why so many people find her a bit eccentric! To be perfectly honest, I havenβt actually sat down to listen to much of her discography yet, so I don't really have a firm opinion on her music just yet.
