Timothy Wood38 said:What dose of Prozac are you on? Honestly, I wouldn't be so quick to pull the plug on Prozac, especially if you aren't dealing with any major side effects. I’m only bringing this up because it didn't even start doing anything for me until I hit the 60 mg daily mark—and after that, I actually bumped it up to 80 mg a day.

Prozac is the gold standard!👍

In my experience, Effexor is a much harder habit to break... I have no clue why my therapist swapped my Prozac for Effexor instead of just bumping up my dosage on the first one.

Kenneth Scott41 said:Eh... I had the exact same experience with Effexor, except for me, the erectile dysfunction issues are still there.🙂 I don't know how much longer I can deal with this... it's destroying my relationship.😠
I think I'll tell my doctor the same thing—that it's stopped working... I can't really feel its effects at all anymore.

By the way, tell me, how is that Prozac? Is it any better than the Effexor?

!?

Kenneth Scott41 said:Yeah, I am unhappy. I broke up with my girlfriend, and that’s why I’m on the pills.

Look, when I went through a breakup after seven years of living together—I was a total wreck—Rib just laughed right in my face (his head was huge and bright red, mind you) and basically told me:
-"Haven't you heard? You never chase after streetcars or girls!"-
Then he wrote up my medical report, flagging me as suicidal and handing me a referral for a psych ward in Los Angeles. I absolutely loathed him for it—especially for that condescending little "proverb" he used to mock me. I reached out to my family, told them how much of a mess I was, and they actually stepped in to stop me from going on "vacation." My entire world had collapsed back then. In those days, those months, I couldn't even fathom that there would be more time, more space, or anything good left in life—let alone new love. Looking back, it's almost funny, and honestly kind of sweet, how that old man mocked me. Who could have known he was actually 100% right? Haven't you heard? You never chase after streetcars or girls.

Kenneth Scott41 said:I took about six of my 1mg SR Xanax tablets, and then I mixed them with eight extended-release Tramadol pills plus 20 Hepa...

What was the goal there? Look, I'm not judging you—I just want to understand what drives someone to go down that path.

Kenneth Scott41 said:I think I went a bit overboard last night, and honestly, I have this nagging feeling that I really did.... but even if I were to come clean about exactly how much of everything I took, people would probably just assume I'm exaggerating. They'd claim I was lying because, frankly, the dosage I managed to pull off would likely be enough to kill two grown men....

I don't get what you mean by "overdid it." Did you take more than your prescribed dose, or did you just wash your meds down with a bottle of bourbon?

btw, a question for those who know better than I do: how long should you actually give an antidepressant (like Effexor, for example) to really kick in and start working?
Roger Allen3 said:I have the Ziff Davis version.🙂

Anyone got a link online? Has Germany won yet?
Roger Allen3 said:They're at a critical juncture with a 6 to 4 lead and they just concede a goal. All Slaven fans are exactly the same! 😁

What on earth are you people even watching? Seriously, get your heads out of the sand.
Grace Adams32 said:The Spaniards are up 8-7 right now, but who knows how this is going to shake out 🤷

What channel are you watching, Grace??? Honestly, it feels like I'm the only blind person in this entire thread...

I am terrified of becoming just another guinea pig in psychiatric testing—someone who takes their first dose of Zoloft and ends up tethered to a prescription bottle for the rest of their life...

I fear I will never be able to return to my old self through a natural remedy.

And perhaps the author of that book mentioned above was right...

Antibiotics work by completing a course to cure an infection. Other conditions, such as high blood pressure, are managed by taking medication to remain stable. Epilepsy is kept under control via antiepileptic drugs. Thrombosis is handled similarly. One might even be fortunate enough to have a strong therapeutic response. Psychiatry functions the same way. Antidepressants do not "cure" a disease; they manage symptoms so a person can function effectively. This does not mean every patient requires lifelong therapy; that depends on many variables.
It is identical to how insulin, which a person injects multiple times a day, does not cure diabetes... and I assume the author of said book is aware of this.🤷 It is hardly a state secret.😕

Regardless, try to maintain a positive outlook rather than worrying about the yo-yo effect. I wish you luck and hope you won't need medication ever again. Good luck with your next two months.😉

You make a very logical argument—even if people don't want to admit it, they have to agree with you. Since you're clearly well-informed, I'd love to hear your take on what kind of long-term impact we're looking at for someone who takes antidepressants continuously for years—ten, fifteen, twenty, or more—specifically those SSRIs that work by preventing serotonin reuptake?
How do I use Multi-Quote? in Forum Help! ·
I’m relatively new to this forum—so please, be gentle—and I was wondering if anyone could walk me through how to quote multiple different posts and reply to all of them within a single response? I have a feeling this exact question has been addressed somewhere in this thread already, but honestly, trying to dig through everything right now would just lead to a massive headache and I’d probably lose my way before finding the answer.

My bad! Scratch that—this post is totally redundant. I figured out how to do it just now. Thanks anyway.
Sandra Rogers95 said:I’m typing this from my phone too, and I actually have it set to remember me
when I want to log out?
I just go up to the top, hit logout, and I'm out.

But when I go to log back in next time, I have to type both my username and password
And once I enter them, it asks if I want to save my login info—I always click NO.

It's basically the exact same experience as being on a desktop.

My experience wasn't quite the same as using a PC. Every single time I opened Reddit, I could just tap "login" and be right in. I eventually figured it out thanks to the first reply, which pointed me toward my mobile browser settings—that's where the fix was. Honestly, I wasn't comfortable with the idea that anyone who grabbed my phone could just hop onto Reddit and act as me.
I often log in to Reddit from my phone, and one time I accidentally tapped "yes" when it asked if I wanted the site to remember me. Now, instead of typing in my username and password, it just logs me in automatically with a single click—which I really don't want. It’s a privacy issue for me. Is there any way to change this setting or undo it?
What do you do when someone scams you out of $300? in Miscellaneous ·
"Your other option is to shadow him discreetly all day—figure out where he lives and what his name is—then take that info straight to the police..."

That’s actually solid advice. You can't afford to live like this every single day. Sooner or later, you'll spot the guy, and when you do, act smart. Until then, don't waste too much energy grieving the loss; just look at the money you lost as a tuition fee for a lesson in being more careful next time. It wasn't a total waste if it keeps you sharp.

I’m looking for someone to explain—or better yet, drop a solid link—on how to attach a second hook to the end of an existing line. I already know my way around tying a single hook, but I need a reliable knot to branch off a second one from the first. Essentially, I want to end up with a split line featuring two hooks, and I need it done right.

Looking for some info—where online can I catch MMA events via pay-per-view without those constant buffering issues? You know the drill—trying to use those free live stream links is basically a guarantee of a frozen screen every five minutes. Thanks.

Does anyone know if there's a way to catch MMA events via pay-per-view online? Honestly—standard streaming links are a nightmare. They lag constantly, and I’m tired of the fighting freezing right when a knockout is happening. Thanks.
