If you ask me, I would take a completely different approach regarding the moderation team. Wouldn't it be more prudent to attempt to bring back some of the veteran moderators who still linger around these digital halls? I’m thinking specifically of names like boldhound8, Alex Cook, Michelle Palmer6, wiredfalcon2, Carol Lewis, and even Anthony Jackson2, along with Mistycyclist51. Is there not a certain wisdom in returning to those who actually understand the landscape?

Oh, how I long for those golden days to return. Wouldn't it be a marvel if we could simply turn back the clock to that era of absolute brilliance? ☕

I would actually grant this man a moderator position simply because he possesses the sheer willpower required to waste his time acting as a moderator on an American forum. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find such individuals in this day and age, especially as online forums continue their slow descent into obsolescence. ☕

That is, of course, with the caveat that he hasn't particularly caught my eye yet, so I remain uncertain whether he is perfectly sane or perhaps a bit of a patient. ☕

Moderation here on the Soccer board has devolved into nothing more than issuing cards, deleting posts, and banning users, simply because certain individuals have decided to treat this platform like their own private PDF document where they dictate all the rules. There ought to be some semblance of standardized communication on this forum; Cinque was banned due to the blatant disrespect shown toward other members. Writing a few insightful posts does not grant him amnesty in instances such as these.

I am unaware of the specific grounds for his permanent ban, but generally speaking—there used to be a system of standard yellow and red cards where bans were accumulated over time, while custom penalties of 100, 200, or 500 points were the exception.

Now, it seems the logic has been inverted, as 500 and 1000-point penalties are handed out instantly. For those "45 or 50 point" infractions, one requires both the time and the inclination (which I certainly lack 😁) to moderate properly... jumping straight to a permanent ban is merely a lazy way to cut corners.
