It’s actually kind of wild. Totally predictable, but man, was it a blast. I mean, seriously—how has nobody even watched this or said anything about it yet?!
Honestly, anyone who actually knows their way around astrophysics has to admit that the core concept is so fundamentally nonsensical it gives you a literal headache...
I mean, honestly, I feel like that’s just some old-school AOL thing. Anyway, in Windows you can actually go in and set your own "default" notification sound for when you get new mail—you know, that little "ding" sound. So, if you record whatever random noise you want as a .wav file, you can just assign it to that alert.😁
Maria Peterson said:A campaign to save our "normal" downtown theaters: ...not only will people have to deal with wider ticket prices or commuting from outside the city center, but they’ll also eventually have to compete with those big shopping mall theaters that the local government basically handed over the responsibility of looking after movie lovers to... Thoughts, opinions, debates......?
I don't really see it that way at all. 1. AMC Theatres and Broadway aren't out in some random suburban town (no offense to anyone living out there), which is what your post makes it sound like—they aren't even in Times Square, both are just a quick 10-minute walk from Times Square itself. 2. Honestly, I just buy my tickets online, so I'm never stuck in any crazy crowds. Then again, I still remember back in the day waiting in line for Independence Day—that line stretched from the downtown cinema, past Flower Square, all the way down to Main Street. Thanks but no thanks, I definitely don't miss that kind of nostalgia. 3. As for the domestic movies—current hits show up in the multiplexes just fine. But if you want the classics and archival stuff, what we actually need is a high-quality cinema.
Bottom line: Give us more multiplexes, but please bring back the classic cinema!
Man, this was brutal... Just boring, dragged out, and totally uninspired. Once you get past that opening sequence, there’s basically nothing happening for the first hour except a bunch of pointless boat chases, planes flying around, and some pretty dull sex scenes... then it just repeats itself with more mindless driving, aviation stuff, and uninteresting hookups... I honestly can't remember the last time I actually walked out of a theater halfway through a movie, but here we are. I mean, I even managed to sit through "night watchman," but this? This was just unbearable. 👎
So, did you guys actually know they shot the third one at the exact same time as the second part? Apparently, they’re just finishing up post-production now, and it should be hitting theaters in May 2007. 🙂
Mad Scientist said:Tia Dalma... 😍 I mean, exactly. Naomi Harris I mean, don't get me wrong, Keira Knightley is gorgeous, but... Tia Dalma is just on another level. 🙂
Does anyone else feel like they have this weird, inexplicable magic touch when it comes to making people smile? I don't know—it’s just one of those things that hits me sometimes... like, you're just sitting there, being your usual awkward self, and suddenly you realize you actually managed to brighten someone's day. It’s kind of a strange feeling, honestly. Not trying to be all deep or anything, just thinking out loud. 😬
Wait, did anyone else catch that little charm sitting on her table? It looks exactly like one of those music boxes belonging to Davy Jones—you know, kind of like a lock on a treasure chest... man, you could probably upload just about anything to a thing like that if you had the chance.
Man, I had no idea—that’s such a bummer. I wasn't exactly buying it every single week or anything, just kind of picked it up here and there when I could, but honestly? It was pretty solid. 😢
Blanchetica totally nailed the whole Catherine Hepburn vibe. I honestly figured DiCaprio’s baby face would make it impossible for him to pull off an older role—but man, he actually holds his own. He's surprisingly solid.
The movie is just visually stunning, too... it’s packed with all these weird, twisted little details and scenes that really stick with you.
