uuu Blood Red Shoes 🙏 it would be amazing, and we'd definitely go 🙂
I'm right there with you on Jamiroquai, too. Heh. 😬
I think when we talk about the first case, mentioning the Perica album is purely my own subjective take. In the second instance, though, there’s actually an objective element at play—or at least an attempt to find some objectivity, given that being "objective" is always on shaky ground when you're talking about music criticism... if you'll excuse me. 🤷
Where on earth do you even find them? 🤣
I’m not saying there wasn't any garbage back then, but... in most cases, the acts at the top of the charts actually had a reason to be there. Nowadays, it feels like all kinds of mediocre stuff just sails right through. 🤷

@gentlepuma20/">@@gentlepuma20: I agree that there are tons of great bands out there today, but for the average listener—you know, the ones who don't go out of their way to hunt down the good stuff—most of them will stay completely unknown. That's really all I meant: mainstream popularity hasn't been a measure of quality for a long time now.
We can't overlook the massive influence MTV had on the whole landscape... and honestly, everything that paved the way before it too. I’m talking about those late-night radio shows on stations like KROQ or whatever else our parents used to tune into back in the day. There was a time when having MTV or a top-tier radio station meant something—they were the gold standard for quality. You didn't just listen because there was nothing else on; you listened because what they played actually mattered. It felt like there was less music being pumped out, which meant there was significantly less garbage.
Nowadays, more music basically equals more trash. To be honest, it takes a hell of a lot more willpower and effort to dig through the noise to extract something genuinely good. That’s why I believe the digital revolution is directly linked to this obsessive way people consume music; it’s practically the only way for someone who truly cares about the art to find what resonates with their specific taste and helps them grow musically.
The real question is: at what point does this hunt—this obsession with discovery—stop being a tool and start becoming the sole purpose? Since it’s entirely up to the individual, I’d venture to say that once that happens, it isn't even about listening to music anymore.
Hey everyone, I think I just polished off half a beer, haha :S 😬
Check out this photo (I look totally wasted again, don't you think? 😳 )

The concert 🙏 🙂 🙏

It'll happen, it'll happen 👋
Just tell my friend Sandy not to screw over Neno Belan because of Gustaf and Martin 🙂
Sundance Film Festival 2008 in Movies ·
So far, I’ve mostly stuck to those "big" releases over in Europe...
99 Francs* > Son of Rambow (even though they aren't even in the same league, but whatever)
Just some charming little flicks... mainly because they were free 😬

*The level of pathetic sentimentality is off the charts, which kind of screws it up... especially during that last 15-minute stretch where he's playing Robinson Crusoe... totally unnecessary 🤮 The guy could have easily come across as a tough jerk, but instead, he just turned out to be a total wimp 🤷 But hey, since everything in the world of advertising is surreal anyway, I guess that works too 🙄
My friend just told me she saw this on the news... 🙂 three people jumping around in raincoats
Why did it have to start pouring right when I got the news—way too late, 🙂—that I actually made the list? 🙂 Now my drive out to the venue feels like an absolute nightmare because it’s so far away 😢
. I'm going to miss Hot Chip 😢
Those are the other ones I heard about just a few hours ago... It seems a bit strange that they haven't updated the site with the initial lineup yet. To me, that feels a little illogical.🤷
🙂 Menomena, man 😢
I’m actually starting to think you guys won't love this as much as I thought... maybe just 🤷
individuals will.
They aren't.
Enough talk from 🙂
They’d probably come after me if I spoke up—it's been dragged through the courts for ages... plus, I signed a non-disclosure agreement 😬
but I know plenty of people on this forum would love to hear the truth 🙂so there you have it. We should find out whether it's today or tomorrow
There’s something on the horizon that might bring a huge smile to a lot of faces 😉 but I have to keep my lips sealed for now 😢
You'll find out pretty soon, just wait and see
Madonna in Music ·
Yes,
leave a light on🙂 is just everything.
I can still vividly remember watching the music video on loop back when I was just a kid, spinning those old cassette tapes that featured all her greatest hits. 😳I used to be so obsessed with having that specific look—that bright red hair and those striking green eyes.
Poor Jason Chavez32 😢
Heh, maybe he'll get another shot at it 😳 :Potajnilux:
I’m starting to get the distinct feeling that this year is going to be a complete wash 🤷
Honestly, I’m mostly just kicking myself because last year I spent a fortune hesitating back and forth, 🙄 and in the end, I didn't even go 😢
But you know what? I won't regret it for a second!!! 🙂 Never. :kri: 🙂
