Matthew Parker8 said:I mean, I don't know... at the last few screenings I caught, everything actually started right on schedule 👋
Catch ya later 👋

I haven't made it to all of them, so I figured I'd ask... thanks for the heads up though...

👋 😉
Honestly, I'm thinking about giving this one another spin sometime in the next few days, 😍
It’s all just a game, man, a total game...

If Alexander is still playing along... I mean, seriously, give me a break...🙄 ...
This whole thing is definitely going to keep running for a while longer, mark my words...🙂

So, this is what I was trying to get at...😁
Is it for real though, like, are they actually starting right at 9 PM sharp?

So what were you even doing for twenty minutes after the credits rolled at the AMC Theatres? 😕

And honestly, it took me about half an hour just to pull myself together after it was over, too.😁 😁 😁

Ugh... tell me about it... I was actually just venting to a friend earlier today about how the movie leaned way too hard into that whole shamanism thing and all that nonsense about using it to trigger an ecstatic state... but honestly, even back then, shamanism was already pretty much on its way out... it’s all just acting, you know?
But whatever... that's a whole other rabbit hole...
Anthony Miller28 said:Man, honestly, I totally conked out during that one scene.
I don't know, Che Guevara never really struck me as this mystical, larger-than-life figure, so the movie just didn't hit home for me. All that fighting and chaos in Latin America was always kind of a blur to me—I mean, just look at how Castro turned into a straight-up dictator. 🙄

Well, alright... truth be told, I was expecting something completely different from this flick, but hey, it wasn't half bad...
The only two movies where I actually drifted off (and that was strictly because I hadn't slept a wink the night before) were "Golem" and "American Splendor"... and even then, it was just for a few brief moments...😁
By the way, we were watching with this woman who was absolutely floored by the movie... for the next twenty minutes she just sat there staring into space... she couldn't even bring herself to get up and leave the theater...
😛 And then people have the nerve to laugh when I start tearing up...

🙂 Personally, I dig both of them.
And when it comes to Val Kilmer, this is honestly the only role where he doesn't come off as totally greasy to me. He absolutely nailed the Jim Morrison vibe. *hats off to him*

Man, I’m honestly kicking myself for missing the screening of "Battleship Potemkin"... I totally botched the schedule 😵...
I did manage to catch "Alexander" though, and yeah, I’m right there with you—the guy is an absolute genius 😉 🙂

Fight Club

Clockwork Orange (though, let’s be real, it was a book first)
🙂 Honestly, that movie was just stunning... easily one of the best things I've sat through in a long, long time...
I’m a sucker for films that actually make me *feel* something, you know? Like, if I finish a movie and feel absolutely nothing, I basically view it as a total waste of cash...
After watching "The Motorcycle Diaries," I was just totally out of it for about half an hour... I tried to hold it back, but the tears just started creeping in during the second half, and once that scene hit—where he's crossing the river to celebrate a birthday with those lepers—I just completely lost it. It was beautiful, man... truly...
😕 And then, of course, my friends spent the whole time laughing at me for crying my eyes out...🙄
