-First, you just gotta check what your limit actually is—you can swing by a Chase Bank branch or hit up an ATM, personally I just look at my overdraft protection amount... if it shows up as zero even though you know you have an authorized overdraft, just give them a call on their customer service line
- then you just track down a shop that’s part of their installment program
- grab whatever you need and tell them you want to put it on a Chase Bank payment plan
- it really just depends on how many months they'll let you stretch it over, but basically they split the bill up and it just gets pulled from your account automatically every month

The only real headache is that you can't really pay it off early if you suddenly come into some extra cash...

The fence didn't really bother me when it was just sitting there blocking the way, and honestly, I don't see why it’ll be any different once they finally get that garage entrance installed...

It really gets under my skin when you see people who just tear down a fence and decide the middle of the road is the perfect place to sit... honestly, I don't get it...
Or, to put it in terms you might actually understand... just go out there and get run over by a semi on the interstate, and then you’ll see exactly how things turn out...
Or maybe just try sitting in some air conditioning in NYC...

Since when did the fence stop being someone's property... honestly, I'm just sitting here wondering where we draw the line on all this...
That fence over there? It actually belongs to the corporation... 😉

It’s pretty obvious who hasn't got the slightest clue what a mantra actually is... 😛
Honestly, you just don't know how to build a real argument, do you? You just end up foaming at the mouth and taking everything personally... and when people actually shut you down with facts, you just spiral. That’s on you, really...

Why is expressing an opinion being flagged as trolling on this thread?

Is this topic strictly reserved for people who already agree with the consensus?
I mean, am I not allowed to ask why the police aren't protecting me as a citizen, or why they aren't ensuring I can move around freely without feeling constant fear?
Or better yet, why aren't the people caught on camera DESTROYING private property being held accountable?
What about the lives being put at risk of security guards who are just trying to do their jobs?
If this is what passes for a "peaceful" approach, then honestly..........

I honestly don't see how anything I wrote qualifies as trolling.🤷

-that was a pretty questionable way to phrase it, and I specifically asked why people were saying FAT instead of just being plain about it
I mean, look, I’m carrying quite a bit of extra weight myself—let’s call it 215 pounds if we're being precise—so I know what it feels like to be overweight, since my threshold is around 200...

And honestly, I see plenty of guys on this thread who aren't even close to being fat, like Mr. Grumpy or whatever his handle is

Anyway... not that it really matters right now, but just so you know, I'm about 6'1" and roughly 220 lbs. If we ever actually ran into each other in real life, it would probably end with you just keeping your head down and walking right past me... though it wouldn't even matter, because I'd never dream of getting into a scrap with some 220-pound crybaby who can't even hold their own...

man, is it just a bunch of overweight people posting here or what...

guess those stereotypes about Americans are actually somewhat accurate...

Best Wishes,

I don't get why I got a strike for this, especially a red one...
just some guy being targeted because he has "unconventional" opinions, I guess...

really happy for you 👍

an accident and cold hard cash just aren't the same thing 😉
but if I happened to stumble upon $333(say, a heavy black duffel bag overflowing with hundreds left on a parking lot in downtown Chicago) I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be running to hand it back to anyone

if there aren't even that many people around, how could things possibly be that bad?
or maybe there's just a massive crowd of hypocrites out there who talk a big game but do the exact opposite when nobody's looking 🤷

and honestly, what do you actually gain by despising them... do you really think anyone cares enough to be bothered?

since you believe in something higher up—karma, some cosmic judge, all that stuff—then good for you for doing what you do, because at the end of the day, they say peace of mind matters way more than material wealth
Mistaken wire transfer/payment error in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
it’s not even about the mistake itself, but rather the fact that nobody wants to step up and take responsibility for it😉

are they actually going to reimburse this guy for his travel expenses?
is there even a shred of an apology coming his way, or is he just expected to waste his precious time cleaning up their mess because of their own incompetence?

don't you worry about it, though... it's easy enough to just live with stuff like this, especially for us skeptics😬
Mistaken wire transfer/payment error in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Look, there’s a massive difference between someone just being incompetent at their job and someone actually lifting your wallet

I’m sticking to my guns here—you really shouldn't feel obligated to pay them back

I mean, why on earth should I be the one carrying the weight for some stranger?
They ought to focus on looking after themselves and actually doing the job they were hired to do...

Otherwise, you have people like that guy complaining about how much the doctors messed up, when honestly, they probably should have just let it slide...
Mistaken wire transfer/payment error in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Of course I would

I look at things this way without letting any sentimentality or second-guessing get in the way
I’m mostly just looking out for number one, and if I’m being perfectly honest, I don't spend much time worrying about what everyone else is up to

When there's money on the table, there really isn't any room left for feelings🤷
Maybe it's because I fall into a bit of a minority when it comes to my religious views, or maybe it's just because living out here in the States, you realize this kind of mindset is actually pretty standard...🤷

I wouldn't go back if I could
Every job teaches you something, really... I learned that the hard way when I was working the register and would occasionally skim a little off the top, only to end up putting more back in later just to balance things out
In the end, I just paid it out of my own pocket, because trying to figure out exactly who I had overpaid was just too much of a headache...

not a single one
I honestly think Chase is about the only one still clinging to that old-school system, whereas everyone else has already moved on to those digital devices
So, look, I keep seeing cops parked right in the middle of the bike lane on Broadway, and honestly, what are you even supposed to do about it?
call the police 😬

I’ve been meaning to snap some photos, but my phone is never actually in my hand when I’m riding past... it’s happened maybe three or four times now. And don't even get me started on the cafes, because once the weather turns, they'll be setting up those outdoor patios right over the lanes again, not to mention the pedestrians who have absolutely no choice but to ride in the bike lane because some deli blocked off half the sidewalk with fencing... it's just one thing after another...

just like every other citizen in the US (or the entire damn planet 😬 ))
I mean, you too, because at the end of the day, we’re all just merchants 😉
Retailers in America in Economy ·
from what I can gather, they just make these tiny, almost imperceptible tweaks to the ingredients in everything they produce under their own label
Retailers in America in Economy ·
Oh, come on, you’d probably go anywhere at this point, as long as it was somewhere out in Westgate 😬
just a little joke here and there... 😉

Yeah, I'm totally on board with that too, though if I'm being honest, I'm not exactly a fan of that whole system where they fill up all those little bags... I feel like there have to be much better ways to handle it

Sam Murphy3 said:Walmart is easily the biggest scam artist in the US—maybe even globally. They own everything from the soil to the canned meat, yet somehow their canned meat ends up being the most overpriced option in the store. My stomach actually turns when I see their "deals," like buy two fly swatters and get one free. Seriously, when am I ever going to burn through three fly swatters? Here’s another one: go buy eggs at Walmart. It says "SALE: Eggs $13.99" in big bold letters. At first glance, it doesn't look sensational, except for the fact that those exact same eggs cost $3.25 at any other grocery chain. So, they just shook you down for an extra $4.00—about 40% more than the competition. But wait, there's more. You open the carton and realize the eggs are tiny, like they came from a quail. They're about 20% smaller than the standard eggs offered by competitors in the same grade. And the scam doesn't end there. You get home and start making pancakes—say, 30 of them. You’d expect three eggs to do the trick, but you throw in four just to make sure they turn out yellow and homemade. Except, the more eggs you add, the whiter the batter gets. The quality is basically zero. In short—our beloved Walmart cheated us on price by 40%, cheated us on quantity by 20%, and then totally failed on quality by 100%. If you don't believe me, go buy some eggs at Walmart and try making pancakes.

Also, take a look at the women working the registers. These are our mothers, sisters, wives. You ask them something simple, like "Do you have white noise machines?" and the poor soul just repeats the same script: "Good morning, do you have a rewards card? Thank you, goodbye." Honestly, seeing how broken, exhausted, and brainwashed they are—to the point of having zero personality left—is pathetic. And on top of all that, they earn the lowest wages in the industry. It's the same story with Cosmo. Unlike what you see with Todorić, just look at the staff over at Lidl or CVS.

It's solely because of Walmart that our food prices are 20% higher. Small local shops wonder why they should sell Podravka soup for $7.99 when the exact same stuff is $8.99 at Walmart. Naturally, they just bump their price to $9.49 to compensate. I really hope Walmart goes under soon.

Cosmo isn't owned by Agrokora anymore😬
it hasn't been for at least half a year now😉
and the wages in all those retail spots are pretty much the same, though I suppose Kerum and CVS (especially that guy) pay a bit more in this sector
and honestly, I'm not even surprised...
in Target, it was actually a good move when they introduced self-checkout; it's way faster, and it ends up being cheaper for them too🙂

you could say one decent thing about Walmart is that they opened a shop in somewhere like a smaller coastal town and kept the fruit prices maybe$0.67 slightly higher than they would be in a big city like Los Angeles
before that, it was totally normal for produce to be at least 40% more expensive there than in LA😉

Just give them a ring on their toll-free number, and they should be able to email you a full list of all the businesses that accept installment plans on that card...
Usually, they have that kind of info available, I actually just had a list sent over to me recently 😉

Lawrence Wright7 said:Honestly, I’m actually relieved to see Richard Lewis16 was wrong about this one—and I bet a hell of a lot of other people are feeling the same sense of relief too.🙂>

Honestly, it’s just good to hear that... because, well, thanks to you (and everyone else here, really), I’m feeling pretty good about it too... 😉

Look, since I’m clearly the resident pessimist around here, I can't help but worry that this whole thing is just some short-lived dip... especially when you consider our credit rating hasn't actually budged, and the government is finding it increasingly difficult to scrape together enough cash to cover its debts while simultaneously trying to keep up with daily operating costs, and so on...

So, he finally landed that job... though I have to say, it’s a bit bizarre when you think about it, considering our bid was basically half the price of everyone else's... but hey, hopefully, that means some actual cash is finally heading his way, especially with summer right around the corner and all that...
But honestly, don't pay too much attention to me... I've already proven myself to be a bit of a paranoid wreck... 😉

So, I see you’ve landed at 7 for now... and honestly, if you ask me, hitting somewhere in that 7 to 8 range feels like the right move for the long haul, which is why I'm just sitting here crossing my fingers that we start seeing those numbers drift downward soon...
The bank is taking my entire paycheck... in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I was just sitting here thinking about how much things have changed lately, and I can't help but feel like we're all just drifting through these massive shifts without a compass... you know? It’s funny how you think you have a handle on the rhythm of life, and then suddenly the tempo changes entirely, leaving you grasping at shadows while everyone else seems to be dancing along perfectly fine... though I suspect they're just as lost as we are, really. I was reading some old notes from Lawrence Wright7 the other day—he always had such a knack for spotting those subtle cracks in the foundation before anyone else did—and it reminded me that nothing stays static for long, no matter how much we wish it would... it's just the way the world turns, I suppose. Anyway, I didn't mean to wander off into a monologue, it's just one of those afternoons where the thoughts seem to have a life of their own... kaže:
So, you spend thirty years playing the role of the tenant, pouring your life away month after month... and for what? You realize that at any moment, the landlord can just decide they’ve had enough of you, toss your stuff on the sidewalk, and suddenly you're standing there on some random beach with absolutely nothing to show for it. It makes you wonder, doesn't it... how much did you actually pay over those three decades just to own nothing at all?

I mean, honestly... if I really sat down and thought about handing over thirty years of my life to some massive bank like Chase just to pay off interest... man, I’d probably pack my bags and move out tonight. I'd just sell the place, walk away from the whole mess, and finally be rid of that weight hanging over my head...

Look, you’ve got to consider the alternative... if you find yourself unable to keep up with the mortgage payments, you aren't just looking at losing the house... you could end up completely homeless and still staring down a massive deficit. It works like this: if the bank forecloses and ends up selling the place for less than what you actually owe them on the loan, you're still on the hook for that entire difference... and trust me, that's a hole you really don't want to be digging yourself out of...

I’m starting to realize once again why a guy would go out and buy an apartment on his own... I mean, he’s got a wife, right? And she probably had her own income, which should have made everything a joint venture from the start... It’s just how things work. Besides, they were likely banking on some kind of inheritance coming through from either his side or hers to eventually settle everything up, or whatever else comes up down the road... it all just seems like part of the plan...
