Yeah, truth hurts. Christians have slaughtered people like nobody else in history. Hundreds of millions killed and tortured... all in the name of a calling. No other force in history has caused as much evil in the world as Christianity...

I don't know about all this... just seems like people want to make everything more complicated than it needs to be. There isn't much to say really... turns out some things just are what they are.

It's just historical fact from various sources. If there were trillions of Christians out there, they'd have killed trillions too...

Clearly, the term "Christianophobia" is the trigger word here, and it's eating at you, but that’s not my concern. If you have an issue with Christianophobia, take it up with Wikipedia. While we're being labeled homophobic left and right, the truth is I don't hate anyone—not even people who are gay. But you don't seem to care about that; instead, certain users just get to feast on us like vultures on a carcass.

Moderator Nicole James, please justify why you hold an admin position if you aren't going to objectively moderate this mess. So far, that isn't happening.

Until next time.
I think Nicole James is doing a perfectly fine job, both as a moderator and an administrator.

I think you’re starting from the wrong premise here, and honestly, what you're asking for seems impossible. You're essentially demanding that a user be punished simply for voicing an opinion, while expecting the moderators to shield a group—one that has a documented history of criminal activity—from any kind of criticism. If that's the case, then I suppose what you're actually looking for is an echo chamber. That kind of forced consensus only really happens on sites like Reddit. www.catholics.org I guess there isn't much more to say on that. I don't have much to say about that specific site, I suppose. It seems like just another corner of the internet dedicated to certain regional perspectives. Maybe it holds some interest for people looking for that particular viewpoint, but I can't say I find myself drawn to it. But that isn't the case here on Reddit, because this is an open forum where no specific religion is favored—nor is any group discriminated against, for that matter. All the best.

6. Just to illustrate, here are some instances from today alone showing how this one individual keeps trolling:

For instance, here, he is clearly violating the rules of the new sub-forum on Religion, and he's been doing it for months. Yet, the moderators haven't issued a single warning. Since we are dealing with the hundredth violation rather than just the first or second—and it's always coming from the same person—I have to ask: what is the reason for constantly tolerating this kind of behavior? Should I follow his uncivilized example and start flooding the main Christianity-1000 thread with nonsense, much like he has been doing in the Islam-114 thread for months? I suppose I could do that just to demonstrate how unproductive it is. Believe me, I have about 50,000 questions ready for them if necessary. 😁

Example 01 — today, he quoted my post from 2008 😲 just to belittle me in his thread title (calling me a "kid," even though I'm 51). This is happening in a thread meant for children's topics, titled: "Music enjoyed by Reddit users on Religion." That thread exists so everyone can share a link to a song they love and enjoy it with others... not so users can provoke one another in such a primitive way. Can you please get him off my back, or should I respond in kind so we both end up with a strike?

Example 02 — exactly the same thing; he's trolling another user... who happens to be around my age too... And get this!!! The topic is "What was sacrificed on the cross?"

I am fairly certain it is possible to find at least 50 similar troll posts from this individual within the last month alone.
I really don't want to post them all here, but if it's required, I will list them. The moderators seem to tolerate him. I wonder why they do that?

MISUSE OF SIGNATURE RULES (by the same person):
The user Anonymous_xy is falsely twisting one of my posts in his signature to draw a fake conclusion that "Muslim Shady admits Islam is a false religion". Looking at the context of that thread and the post he linked in his signature, it's clear I didn't say Islam is a false religion; I simply stated that the user Preacher said so in the post I was quoting (since according to him, all religions are false—specifically the Babylonian ones—except for his Jehovah's Witnesses). I told him that I wasn't interested in those false religions, such as Islam or Hinduism, but rather in the Christian stance on the Holy Communion (for example, regarding Protestants and such). I reached out to him because he is drawing a false conclusion in his signature and lying about me, yet he has refused to remove it.

@ rustydrifter10, Daniel Ward87
The Religion Forum has become... Trolling, off-topic rambling, and straight-up insults. Enough already.
And let's see how some of the moderators over on the Religion subreddit choose to handle this.

She’s acting on Reddit as if she doesn't even have moderator privileges. She should probably just show us the fifteen bans she's handed out over the last thirty days—which would be one every two days, I guess. She didn't.

I suppose the moderator of the Islam-114 sub has gone on some sort of world tour. If they could just produce ten of the warnings they supposedly handed out over the last thirty days—which would be roughly one every three days—that would be great. But they don't have any.

The only one actually doing anything around here is Bluebird. Though, even they seem to let personal attacks and off-topic tangents slide every now and then—especially the off-topic stuff. I guess I don't really understand why they allow that to happen.

Daniel Ward87 finally stepped up today, and it looks like we actually have some results to show for it. 👍 My compliments regarding the cards he handed out. Here. When I saw that many reports pop up, I honestly thought the moderators had been replaced, so I clicked on one just to see who was handing out the sanctions. 😁 I wonder why this isn't being handled the same way in other instances. There are plenty of even more offensive posts on Reddit that haven't faced any consequences at all—and I suppose I’ll be able to prove that shortly.

For months now, I've been dealing with constant harassment, insults, and trolling from Anonymous_xy on this Reddit. About two weeks ago, I actually filed an official report in the Complaint book...LINKTo this day, none of the moderators have seen fit to give me a proper response regarding my complaint—not even a simple, "rowdyhawk10, your appeal is denied." Instead, the trolling and insults just keep coming without end. I am asking you all to please resolve this matter.

Rules that the Religion Forum moderators often seem to overlook:

The role of a moderator:
  • Maintaining an environment that fosters constructive discussion.
  • Maintaining equality and respecting the individuality of every single member...
  • The realization of civilized standards and legal norms of conduct.

New topics need to actually fit the specific Reddit sub they are posted in; posts are meant to be discussion starters.
  • Any off-topic threads or posts that don't align with the subject matter will be moved or deleted.
  • Any blatant, frequent, or excessive off-topic posts will result in an "off-topic" warning.
  • Vulgarity isn't exactly something I'd advocate for.

Making things personal is really never a good idea.
  • Constantly stirring up conflict is generally considered trolling.
  • It is particularly undesirable to engage in personal attacks or to go out of one's way to incite nationalistic, religious, or similar types of conflict.
  • Personal analyses and specifically starting threads targeting other users on Reddit are strictly prohibited.
  • Violating this rule will result in a "trolling" warning.

Any form of personal insults, disparagement, or discrimination against our members was strictly prohibited.

Anonymous_xy keeps violating all the rules by making fun of me and throwing insults my way. It seems like they turn every single thread into a personal vendetta. To make matters worse, I filed a report about this over two weeks ago, and I haven't heard a word back from the moderators. 😢

Something similar is happening over on the Religion subreddit with posts from Nick Dominic01.

I honestly can't wrap my head around how it's possible for two entire pages within a single thread to be completely off-topic. I've been flagging these off-topic posts using the red icon, but even after waiting 48 hours since my report, none of the moderators have stepped in.

Nick Dominic01 has jumped into ten different threads to ramble about Alabama, his views on religious versus non-religious women, Americans in Canada, spinning wool, the Civil War, fishing, or some movie he watched this morning... all while the actual topic is something like "Jesus's resurrection"?! 🙄

So, I want to ask the moderators of the Religion subreddit and politely request an answer: why are they tolerating Nick Dominic01? I would say quite confidently that out of 100 of his posts, maybe five are actually relevant to the discussion, while the other 95 are off-topic, trolling, or outright insults. For example:

TOPIC: "Prophet Muhammad in Hell"
* Nick Dominic01 writes: how much he enjoys playing blackjack and roulette 😁
* Or he writes: that he is an American from Canada and isn't intimidated by Canadians
- In both instances, the moderators haven't responded to the reports, despite the posts being flagged.

TOPIC: "For whom was Jesus sacrificed on the cross?"
* Nick Dominic01 writes offensively: he psychoanalyzes and insults users without a single word relating to the topic,
- It's been several days now, yet the moderators haven't acted on the report, even though it was flagged.

TOPIC: "What was sacrificed on the cross?"
* Nick Dominic01 writes pure nonsense and trolls along the way
- The moderators have tolerated this off-topic behavior for over a week without reacting to the flag.

Out of the 3,613 visible posts currently up, I'd bet anything that at least 2,500 of Nick Dominic01's posts are off-topic, trolling, mocking, or openly insulting—or even inciting national or religious conflict (which is strictly forbidden by the Religion subreddit rules). Most of those 2,500 are just plain off-topic. I should also mention there are likely another 1,000 to 2,000 off-topic posts that were deleted without notice. Perhaps it's simply easier for the moderators to delete 20 or 30 of his off-topic comments every day rather than just once telling him to stay on subject.

There are a few other similar characters here, but I don't want to write a novel right now; I just wanted to point out the behavior of Nick Dominic01, whose posts are being tolerated against the rules, which means the moderators themselves are violating the rules by ignoring the reports. If the moderators actually followed the guidelines, the forum would be better, the discussions would be higher quality, and the atmosphere would improve. Isn't that what the moderators want? If they happen to be fond of Nick Dominic01, fine, but then they should just send him a private message and teach him how to stick to a topic. 🤷

There you have it. Perhaps because of you, God showed mercy and delayed the inevitable. 🙂
Just a quick note regarding this thread. I don't intend to dwell on the Parsifal situation for too long. I’ve stated my position, and I’ve done my best to be clear without being offensive to anyone. I assume ego understood my point, so there really isn't much need for me to repeat myself. We are all adults here, I suppose, so hopefully we can all move past these trivial grievances. It's probably best if we just rise above them.

ego, man, it's all on you now. Personally, I still have faith in you. 🙂 Best,

Setting that aside... I guess I did write "i"I suppose there's some truth to what Jason Clark7 was saying about the situation. It feels like we're just circling the drain at this point.Giving anyone that many points just isn't according to the rules. My apologies to rowdyhawk10 (for everyone), and I hope you have a pleasant holiday season.

Everything is fine, and I apologize if I said anything to offend you. Thank you for the well wishes, and I hope you have a happy holiday season as well.
I wasn't aware that you were also a Parsifal follower. I only just noticed it after looking through your profile and reading your thread. Greetings.
Jason Clark7 said:Is this response just you acting on your own whim, similar to how things were handled with the Religion PDF? I thought we always looked to the admins for guidance on this forum because nothing is supposed to be decided without a "consensus among all PDF mods."🤔

I suggested above that the moderators should reach a collective decision, though I am not entirely sure if ego has officially voiced a "No" on behalf of the group. Regardless, ego is a solid moderator and a good person. Having shared the workload and responsibilities of moderation with him for quite some time, I can vouch for his character. Personally, I consider him a brother in the deepest sense a person can feel for another; he is very dear to me. I am also entirely certain that the Religion section would not be nearly as high-quality without his (and bluebirdicin's) moderation. Furthermore, I am confident that ego won't hold it against me for raising this question—or at least won't once some time has passed—as he will see my intentions are good, because Parsifal truly is a wonderful and cherished person.

Therefore, there is no need to resort to accusations like "arbitrariness" or "capriciousness." We all have our flaws, and no one functions as an infallible machine.

Everything ought to be resolved in the spirit of goodwill and friendship. This is our shared forum, a community that means a great deal to many of us. For me, it certainly does; I have spent a significant portion of my life here. Because of that, everyone should strive to give their best—both you, Susan Price30, and ego—so that we might collectively resolve this "issue." Everything should be settled peacefully and without harsh language. Thank you.

I think hiddenpuma75 should be allowed to post in the Religion section again. I’d suggest that the current moderation team look over their previous decision regarding his partial ban from that subforum, maybe out of a sense of goodwill. Greetings to everyone.

No.

Perhaps it might be worth reconsidering the stance here, given that decisions regarding partial bans are never actually made by a unanimous moderator vote. I was serving as a moderator during that period, and the decision to issue that specific partial ban was reached without the consensus of the rest of the moderation team. We were all quite taken aback, as the ruling felt somewhat excessive.

Look, Nicole James, it’s like if I had decided on my own to partially ban Rob Roy without checking in with the rest of the moderation team first—meaning, without getting the green light from you or VeronikomN. If that happened, my solo decision would be called into question, and I suppose it would have to be revised just to maintain some sense of good faith.

I don't think hiddenpuma75 deserved that partial ban. He was never arrogant or disrespectful toward anyone here, nor did he ever go out of his way to personally belittle other members. It’s strange, because if you look at the religion boards today, there are dozens of people who spend their time attacking others' characters during discussions. hiddenpuma75 never really picked fights with people. He always maintained a positive spirit—wry, good-natured, and quite frankly, he was very talented at it. I know him personally. to trip up (😁The main thing is that he never actually crossed the line when it comes to being decent or friendly. Even his signature carries a certain warmth, even if some might misinterpret it as mocking or offensive—but then again, we’re talking about the words of a Nobel laureate, aren't we?

Furthermore, hiddenpuma75 is one of the users who has started the highest number of threads regarding religion here. Out of 292 total topics, at least two-thirds center around the religion PDF. I suppose even a cursory glance through his posts reveals the profile of an exceptionally high-quality contributor—both in terms of his writing style and his character—and it makes me think that this community is somewhat diminished and lacking without his presence.

Let's take a look at just a few of the topics hiddenpuma75 has brought up over in the Religion section.

I wonder what aspects of other religions you all find appealing or respect.
Is oral sex considered a sin?
The Gospel according to Parsifal.
The Parsifal flute with divine lips — Rumi da
I suppose one could wonder whether Adam actually had a navel.
If you were ever to encounter Jesus and could ask him just one single question, what would it be?
A Priest from an island community killed a cat by hanging it
God should probably sue Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike
Where do our thoughts actually originate?
Architecture of the sacred—or how I felt in a cathedral versus a mosque
Imagine the earth was visited by a super-intelligent Being! What religion he chooses would be interesting to ponder.
Sixteen crucified saviors
(Sensational) I think I found a factual error in Catholic theology
Famous Westerners on Muhammad

I suspect that removing Parsifal is a significant blow to the freedom of the written word and the spirit of tolerance. Therefore, I am asking you, Nicole James, as well as the other moderators, to collectively reconsider your decision and reach a joint consensus in the interest of fairness. Thank you. Best regards, 🙂

I suppose hiddenpuma75 should be allowed to post in the religion section again. I would suggest that the current moderation team for Religion reconsider that previous decision regarding his partial ban, perhaps out of a sense of goodwill. Best to everyone.
Jason Clark7 said:Why this applies to user Golden Boy but doesn't apply to rowdyhawk10? Why the double standards? 😕

Why is there even a need to label people as fascists and question whether they are doing the right thing just because they write this or that? What kind of conversations are those? I have absolutely no tolerance for such things, even when they are wrapped up in some sort of quasi-defensive subordinate clauses...

The entire thread shows how the Religion moderator is giving rowdyhawk10 a pass while indirectly accusing me of fascism whereas others get an immediate warning for the exact same thing 😲...

Golden Boy told a user, "you're a fascist."
I never called you a fascist.

I suppose even my 12-year-old daughter could explain the difference. Interestingly enough, neither you nor Susan Price30 bothered to file an appeal regarding the fact that Joe hasn't received a single warning, despite having
stated multiple times that "Islam is a fascist ideology."🙄
I notice, Susan Price30, how you mentioned here: "if it aligns with the original and true interpretation of Islam"...
I would point out that this "true" interpretation seems to serve a certain Catholic woman quite well. 🙄

Just for your information, not every ancient opinion from ten or more centuries ago is true, regardless of how much you might want it to be. It isn't the same thing to formally express something that merely resembles Islam and is frozen in time, if it actually runs contrary to the spirit of Islam and the Sunnah of Muhammad. I won't get into a theological debate about why that is, especially not with you, but it’s pretty obvious to me why you want such interpretations (which are essentially wrong) to be considered "true." The Muslim world today suffers a bad reputation precisely because of these loud-mouthed fools who misinterpret and misapply Islamic norms, and who happen to be a tiny minority in our society. They might seem sincere to you, but to me, they are just fools—and I say that with all due respect. Actually, they are worse than fools. But fine, go ahead and call me a corrupt coward if that makes you feel better. I suppose they are exactly what makes you happy, since you support them by calling them "sincere"? To me, they are nowhere near Islam, just as those who support them are far from us... even further than you are.

For those who aren't aware... ancient documents are often used to justify the systemic mistreatment of women in the 21st century, along with many other inhumane acts we've all witnessed, like the shelling of the Buddha Monuments in Afghanistan, and various other atrocities committed by others under the guise of Islam. Just a few days ago, a 12-year-old girl (Malala) was shot in the head simply because she advocated for girls' education. The attackers were the Taliban. Are they the "sincere" ones who are better than a "corrupt" person like me? Are those "sincere" types more desirable to you than a coward like myself? Whatever. I'll say it again: in my view, humane atheists are certainly closer to God than such "Muslims" and their defenders. Of course, I am not referring to atheists who are malicious or envious, but rather to the humane and good people among them.
Michael Anderson2 said:rowdyhawk10, I’m right there with you—you’ve got my full atheist support. Though, honestly, I suspect that might do more to irritate the Muslims here than actually help your cause... 😁

God help me! 🤷 Human trials always carry some kind of meaning, I guess. To me, the support of an educated non-Muslim matters more than the support of an ignorant Muslim (jahil). I think the support of a righteous non-Muslim carries more weight than that of an unjust Muslim (zalim). Perhaps one serves God better through atheism than through the regressive displays of faith or injustice that some people exhibit here. Regards.
Paul Kern12 said:Forgive my intrusion here. I notice there seems to be quite a bit of commotion surrounding rowdyhawk10—it almost appears as though he is some sort of protected figure within the religion subforum. Is it possible—and I say this without seeking any disciplinary action—to characterize a belief system that disagrees with our "protected" individual as fascist??? For instance, take today:

So, according to rowdyhawk10, all young Christians are neo-fascists...
I have noticed that he tends to use such labels for anyone who holds a differing opinion.
In my view, this style of writing is simply not appropriate—nor does it seem fitting for someone who claims to be a believer.

I never said ALL young Christians are neo-fascists, so why are you twisting my words? Doesn't your Christianity teach you not to accuse someone of something they didn't say?! How can you do that? Aren't you afraid of slandering people in God's name if you truly believe in Him? Here is my post:
rowdyhawk10 said:With the Paris Commune, the church was brought to its knees and looked like it was finished. Same with Mussolini. With Hitler, even more so! But it rose from the ashes and grew even stronger. The French Revolution is slowly fading, but instead, we see young neo-fascists in all Western countries now, proudly carrying their "crosses of truth"... We see them as followers of one church, but this time split into thousands of different sects... Pentecostals, Jehovah's Witnesses, Adventists, Neocatechumenalists...

Bulgarian Christians - neo-fascists (click)

Are these neo-fascists in your eyes? To me, they certainly are! Are they Christians? Of course they are, at least to themselves! Is Bulgaria in the European Union? Yes. Has anyone in the EU raised a finger against this? No. Did Bulgarians expel 1.5 million Muslims twenty years ago (everyone who refused to change their Muslim names to Christian ones)? They did! So what's your problem, man?! You want me to find similar links from Italy, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, or Canada...?! And those would be even worse than this one about burning mosques. What's bothering you? Do you even know that Mexican Orthodox groups destroyed over 1,000 mosques in Canada in just three years during the war (92-95)? You've really shown your true colors! 👎

Paul Kern12 said:So what...
It seems contradictory to me too—the way you two support one another so intensely—and how you're essentially acting as his defense attorney.
When someone writes that they see young neo-fascists emerging within the ranks of a certain church (which, I suppose, is currently fractured into a thousand different sects) who might eventually reunite once things settle down...

The text itself is as clear as it can possibly be, though you are free to interpret it however you wish—you certainly have that right.

So what? 🤣 And why exactly is it a bad thing if steelskipper5 (or anyone else, really) defends me or anyone else against your fabrications? 🙄
Why is it an issue if someone doesn't see what you claim to "see" in my post? Are you suggesting that steelskipper5 isn't allowed to do that?

EDIT: You’re trying to pick a fight with me while simultaneously playing the part of some self-pitying Christian? I won't accept any excuse for such an ugly insinuation unless it comes with a deep apology. For now, you should be ashamed. If you were even a slightly better believer—especially knowing about the rise of neo-fascism and the intolerance toward us Muslims in recent decades across the West—you would have said: "rowdyhawk10, I am sorry these neo-fascists exist; I hope there is a way to make this stop." But since you lack both sincerity and spirit, instead of offering support, you judge me like a Pharisee for something I didn't say and wouldn't dream of saying in my wildest dreams! That's how they lied about Jesus, just so you know. Shame on you. As for me, I put my trust only in God to protect me from the malicious tongues, thoughts, and plans of men.
Sandra Gonzalez3 said:Then why is it considered Hanafi in Fiqh too?

How did we even end up with this idea of an "official" forum-style Hanafi legal school anyway?

History doesn't even matter right now because the topic already has an official madhhab assigned to it, so all those historical disagreements are totally irrelevant at this point...

That’s just how things went down at the start—back when Dervish first posted that initial thread covering the Islam-114 questions and answers part 1. I suppose nobody really stopped to ask why it was set up that way back then.
Sandra Gonzalez3 said:@shadyev, looks like it turns out Imam Abu Hanifa didn't even have any stances on Aqidah—the "guy" was just strictly about the Fiqh. 🙂

I don't even read you guys over there (let alone write 😁), lost my will to bother ages ago. Not even sure what logic you used to pick the Hanafi school as the official one for that top-tier thread of yours, but if you're gonna assign an official Fiqh school to a topic, then go ahead and assign an official Aqidah school too and get the whole problem solved. People who actually know their stuff will know which theological direction would best "fit" alongside the Hanafi legal school.

There's no need to mix in the history of Islam here at all, and honestly (IMO), it’s not nearly as big of a deal as those two points above.

History actually matters if one wants to establish unity among Muslims, because that’s where the key lies. It's important because all the later theological divisions—whether Fiqh, Akaid, or otherwise—were essentially triggered by political splits.

As for what you mentioned in the first paragraph... 🙄 I could easily solve that: I’d just put in my signature that I’m not Sunni, but rather a Muslim from Mars, writing in the spirit of Islam as it exists—on Mars! 😁 In reality, this can't really be a Hanafi top-topic in an Akaid sense, because if it were, then a top-thread on Christianity would also have to be strictly Catholic, making everyone else "black sheep." Peace.

I have no intention of getting into a fight with the moderators, because clashes with them almost always result in me coming out on the losing end.
I first showed up on this forum back when rowdyhawk10 was a moderator, and I ended up getting a warning from him because of my specific way of expressing myself at the time.

It is pretty obvious there is some resentment toward rowdyhawk10 among nearly all the Muslim users here, mainly because almost everyone has been sanctioned by him during his time moderating the PDF section.
I won't argue whether those actions were justified or not, since the judge is always right.
If I may say so, many people viewed his past—and even current—actions toward Muslims as destructive, though you don't get banned or warned for having that opinion.
I am not against rowdyhawk10, but I am definitely for the community.

I don't recall anyone receiving a warning from me that proved I was wrong. If it seemed like I was perhaps a tiny bit stricter toward Muslims than others, it’s only because most of them hadn't actually read the forum rules before deciding to post, so they didn't know how to behave. Specifically, was I unfair to you regarding any of your warnings? Please, be honest and link me that post? (you can see all the warnings I've issued you in your profile) just please link me a single warning you didn't deserve.

The main "rebellion" against me happened when the forum was debating whether a Muslim woman could marry a non-Muslim. There were several threads like this, such as this one. Basically, some people started falsely claiming that a Muslim woman ceases to be Muslim if she marries a non-Muslim. 😢 Nik sunshine is actually a Muslim woman married to a Catholic, and she has a good husband and a lovely, harmonious marriage with him. I can't even begin to tell you how much some of our fascists trashed her on that topic; I deleted so many of those disgusting posts that I can't link them now... I think she hasn't returned to the forum since then, though I did thoroughly prevent them from running wild. They literally bullied her out of existence with their filthy language. I banned some of them for 3 or 7 days and permanently banned a few handles. That's when the rebellion started.

It didn't help that the late Semek (may God grant him Paradise) here demonstrated what the Official stance of the Islamic Community is: that doing so does not cause a Muslim woman to stop being Muslim. Instead of the passion dying down once the Official stance of the Islamic Community was provided—which is what I warned here about, saying the discussion had to stop (end of post, in red)—that was exactly when the chaos on the thread began.

For instance, this lunatic thought a woman like that was a murderer of her own children. Not to mention the mockery directed at a female user, which is why she left the forum and never came back. And then this madness... 🙄 Following that, I was branded as the Muslim...provocateur, which managed to catch the eye of one particular flirt, a move I guess I accepted. 😁 Now, Adura (now: Boston) noticed that we’re seeing a mass funeral on this forum—essentially a collective exodus of Muslims... Dervish even goes as far as listing the handles of the anti-rowdyhawk10 clan.

And why are they leaving? Because I stood up for the forum rules!

rowdyhawk10 said:If a Muslim woman lives in a lawful and honorable marriage with her husband of Christian faith, then she cannot be, nor can he, an adulterer according to the laws of the United States and all UN charters.

Keep that kind of labeling for the backwaters of Asia and Africa. You have arrived in civilization.

No one has the right to spout such horrors at others by citing religious rules, because the rules of this forum aren't based on Sharia or the tenets of any religion. The forum rules require every member to refrain from insults and maintain decent speech, and they prohibit anyone here from calling someone else an adulterer. 😢

That was actually one of the sparks for the rebellion. Basically, some people were bothered because I voiced support for the UN charter and defended the Constitution of the US. Back then, someone called me a fake prophet, and the shadow of that madness still haunts this forum today.

There was another uprising when we discussed the Theory of Evolution, where I drew the ire of some amateurs who don't even have a basic high school education yet want to debate the subject. 🙄

And now, this Golden Boy has started hystericalizing about me again regarding the story of Muawiya, that cursed man, and his "companions." Once again, I'm being labeled a Shiite, a Rafidi, an infidel, and so on...

So, brother crimsoncrane24, let me just tell you one thing. If the very principles of honorable Islam are threatened by Muslims themselves, I would much rather (then and now) go to war with them than dance with the devil... "My community will never agree on lies" (Muhammad). That's why I am absolutely not for a monolithic community like the one shown in the film ADAGIO (watch from 6:30 to the end). Should Muslims be like you from 6:30 onwards? No, brother! To me, that's just a mass of robots with functioning brains. In those cases, the solution isn't to sing in a choir with them, but to take a bucket of cold water and wake them up. Remember, Muhammad was offered anything he wanted, provided he renounced his principles. He refused, even if they offered him the sun and the moon. Jesus could have also sung in a choir with the most powerful people in society (the Pharisees and Sadducees). But he didn't, even at the cost of his life. Principle is stronger than you and me. Stronger than anyone! When it comes to the truth, there are no compromises, brother crimsoncrane24.

Peace be upon you, and know that I love you like a brother; I hold no grudges and I understand your good intentions.
Brenda Cook4 said:In what sense are you interpreting the law? The law guarantees freedom of worship, not a ban on "heretics." What does "revising dogma" have to do with anything here? And who exactly is doing the "revising" if someone just expresses an opinion? Look, even the Catholic Church has its clear dogmas, yet not every Catholic agrees with everything said. That doesn't mean the Catholic Church is suddenly "under threat" or that it needs to "revise" its official stances on faith. Should the Catholic Church have to run every single thought by all other Christians, or would the moderators here just delete them, give them a partial ban, or what?
The term "a few Muslims" is being stretched incredibly thin here. Especially within Shia circles, there are methods used to mask one's true ideological identity—not necessarily to protect oneself from existential danger (which would make sense for anyone), but rather to sneak one's own ideology into others. It's not just about "a few Muslims"; it's also about the forum administration, which gives the strong impression of cracking down on those who undermine the official stances of the Islamic Community Institution while hiding behind the veneer of: "this is Islam, those are just rigid, frozen views." Yet, we've never been given an answer here as to why they stubbornly refuse to follow the rules of Islam 114—essentially, they are breaking their own forum rules regarding this topic just to dig at the official religious institution.

Just look at this: by this logic, they are attacking 200 million Shia followers. By that same standard, Catholics would probably have to treat Protestants the same way, with governments allowing some groups while banning others.

As for the main topic, this has been answered plenty of times (including in this thread): these interpretations belong to the Hanafi legal school, and any other views should be noted as such. Did rowdyhawk10 clarify that this was just his personal opinion? Did he explain *why* he interprets it that way? In what way did this actually "threaten" the official stance of any religious community? 🤔

Everything you're trying to explain to him was already explained by Kenneth Barnes7 a few days ago during that first blowout, here, where in post #2 he says:

Kenneth Barnes7 said:The very premise of the main topic emphasizes that answers will be provided
in accordance with the Hanafi legal school, which refers to questions of fiqh (meaning legal matters).

When it is stated that answers in the main topic will come from the Hanafi madhhab (legal school), it means that applies to questions within the realm of fiqh, not general dogma! A question like "Will Jesus return to judge Golden Boy and Mus instead of not coming?" is not part of fiqh. To simplify it even further so it's clearer what Mus actually wants to know: a madhhab is a legal school. For instance, according to one madhhab, a certain amount of minor bleeding doesn't invalidate wudu (ritual washing before prayer), whereas in another legal school, even the slightest bleeding invalidates it, requiring a full redo of the wudu; or another example: in one madhhab, you pray with your hands tied at the navel; in another, your hands are lowered along your body during prayer; in a third, the hands are raised above the navel and tied there... and so on.

Fiqh is the science of determining what stance (or ruling) should be taken regarding the actions of an adult and mentally competent person.

This means: When someone in the main topic asks Muslims: "How should the hands be held during prayer?" they will be told: "At the navel, with the right hand over the left" — because that is how it is in the Hanafi legal school. If someone writes: "Hands are held raised at the chest" — then they should specify that this isn't according to the Hanafi view, but rather the Shafi'i madhhab... (this doesn't necessarily mean it's true, I'm just giving an example of what falls under fiqh). Essentially, the answers in the main topic pertain to fiqh (law) but not to dogma (faith/belief). Fiqh, for example, doesn't deal with whether angels have four wings or six. It doesn't deal with history! (for instance, whether Muawiya was great or terrible)... etc. The science of fiqh only deals with legal questions, such as the procedure for a divorce or what prevents a marriage between a man and a woman, and so forth.

Jason Clark7 went on a bit about how the core topic here is strictly Hanafi, arguing that everything discussed—including political stances, historical views, and even general worldly perspectives—serves only to present Hanafi viewpoints. He seems to think those things don't actually fall under the umbrella of Fiqh sciences. That's his take, I suppose. 🤷

Susan Price30 said:I’m quoting from this same thread where nobody bothers to distance themselves (maybe adding a disclaimer that it's just a personal view or interpretation), but instead they flat-out claim their opinion is the official Islamic stance. It isn't.

Why I think the ban was undeserved. Basically, moderator Brenda Cook4 stated in this post that one serious concept (in this case: Islam) cannot negate another concept (in this case: Christianity) so I explained that such is the Islamic stance. I pointed out that Christians, under church influence, have developed a mistaken view regarding sanctity, which is why they are bothered by the views on Mary and Muhammad found in Islamic tradition. Yet, this was punished as trolling.

So it’s no wonder someone gets angry or "makes a scene" over such blatant and perfidious misrepresentation. Personally, I don't see the issue.
(Either it's intentional misrepresentation, or the person is genuinely unaware of what they are saying or writing; in either case, perhaps there should be some way to monitor this for the sake of discussion quality and to protect all other forum members.)

Maybe no one else is stepping up because only rowdyhawk10 was brave enough to point this out to you all, risking some backlash in the process, but doing so to honestly state the truth. 🤷 Therefore, I haven't "sneakily misrepresented" anything! Any somewhat educated Muslim would know that. In fact, acknowledging this opens our perspective for the future and brings us closer together.

I'd love for you to enroll me in an Islam course, so I could learn more about my faith and things I haven't known until now. To guide me toward the right path so my knowledge might be more complete... but, I suppose, you would have to surpass me in knowledge first before you could act as my teacher. 😉 Signed.
Jason Clark7 said:What was it that I told him that proved so critical... Cultist...?😕 Besides, I am actively working to obstruct his attempts at spreading sectarian views under the guise of missionary work for Islam...☕ Does that really give this forum any right to tolerate him placing me in the context of fascism... 😲

He went around labeling other Muslims as "Wahhabis" whenever it suited him... simply to shield his own fringe interpretations of Islam and present them as the only legitimate way forward...

Isn't it perfectly obvious what kind of logic is being employed here... 🙂

The same applies to everyone else... 😉 But sects will always exist, and they always have... I find myself agreeing with you that if such a thing were to be published, it would be vital to emphasize that this does not represent an official position held by any authority, but rather something else entirely; an alternative—or perhaps a distorted—interpretation that deviates from the mainstream Islamic perspective and its traditional understandings...

Exactly. Someone really needs to start a thread about Shady's "Islamic" bistro... 🙂 They can debate that topic until they are blue in the face, provided they steer clear of anything involving institutional Islam or official state-sanctioned responses... 👋

You could eventually start this thread yourself, but just make sure you use your own handle: "Jason Clark7 Mus Islamski bistrolog." 🙂 You don't have the right to open this thread about me. In fact, nobody else should be opening it either—it's my business alone. And honestly, I suppose there's also the question of whether I even have the right to start a topic like this myself.

Jason Clark7 said:Not exactly—more like outright illegal. To be secular means separating church and state, not stripping a religion of its core teachings... 🙄

No. The Constitution protects freedom of worship by guaranteeing it, treating all religions as separate from the state and equal under the law. I don't need to consult some statute that sits hierarchically below the Constitution just to understand how the U.S. Constitution protects religious freedom. I only need to read the Constitution.

What you wrote misses the point entirely and doesn't justify the administration's behavior. While laws sit below the Constitution, they exist to work in harmony with it, providing necessary details specifically because certain individuals (yourself included) tend to misinterpret the Constitution, whether intentionally or not. Therefore, my friend, please pay close attention to the Law on the legal status of religious communities specifically:

Article 2.

Religious communities independently and freely determine their internal organization; governing bodies, hierarchy, and jurisdictions; the entities and persons representing the religious community and its organizational forms; the content and manner of expressing their faith; maintaining ties with their central authority and other religious communities; associating with other religious groups; and other matters regarding their operations in accordance with the Constitution of the United States.

In short, it is unlawful for any authority to impose a different content or method of expressing faith upon a religious community—honestly, this should be legally obvious to anyone with common sense... ☕

And take note of this even more specifically:

Article 8.
...
(5) The name and symbols of a religious community may not be identical to the name and symbols of a religious community previously entered into the Registry.

So, while you are free to establish a religious community, you cannot mask it under the title of a previously registered one. In other words, you cannot claim your "free" interpretations and beliefs are actually Islam.☕

That assertion has absolutely nothing to do with what I wrote, nor does it have anything to do with logic in general. One could struggle to find any connection to horse racing if they tried hard enough...

Resorting to insults when you lack valid points always serves as a clear indicator that you simply have no better arguments to offer...😍

...

I could, for instance, claim that Islam is a savage religion that responds to every critique with violence. And one could point to the reactions of Muslims regarding Muhammad caricatures to support that claim.

Islam is not the same thing as the behavior of its followers, just as this website isn't defined by the conduct of its users (though this site certainly holds far more authority over its users than Islam does over Muslims). Nor can we blame the latest Mercedes model because a drunk driver caused a crash while behind the wheel. 🙂
I fear you are aware of your own poor reasoning, but feel free to continue disparaging Islam if it brings you some sort of personal or online satisfaction...🙂

You’re accusing me of slander, regardless of whatever the Islamic community of Canada had to say about the specific case. I wish you the best of luck.

As for you, the mere fact that you have to live your entire life with such conduct should be punishment enough; you really ought to consider the shame of carrying oneself that way...🍿

Personally, I don't see steelskipper5 as someone who acts in bad faith. I haven't known him since the very beginning of this forum—I think he was around back on that first one—but I can say with certainty that he possesses exceptional character. His level of education is also quite notable, if I may say so. I would argue, quite responsibly, that his conduct is better than many Muslims who post here. Or, perhaps to put it in terms you might better understand, steelskipper5 is... Islamic. He carries himself with more integrity than many Muslims I see on this forum, and honestly, from what I’ve observed in my own life outside of these threads, too. (steelskipper5, please forgive me if my use of "Islamic" came off wrong—there was truly no malice intended.) He stays fair and principled in his dealings with people. What’s more, he never seems to stoop to the level that so many other Muslims tend to sink to.

I largely—though not entirely—agree with his take on this.
steelskipper5 said:Wait, you think we're talking secular? 😬
The Constitution protects freedom of worship in the sense that if you don't like one of the recognized religions, you can register a new one under certain circumstances—anyway, maybe read the Law on the legal status of religious communities before taking a stance.😉

No way. The Constitution protects freedom of worship by guaranteeing that very freedom and treating all religions as separate from the state and equal before the law. I really shouldn't have to dig through some law that's hierarchically below the Constitution just to understand how the U.S. Constitution protects religious freedom. I just need to read the U.S. Constitution.
So anyone can patent any invention or brand name and claim rights to it, but religions with hundreds of millions of followers don't have the right to protect themselves from malicious distortions?🙄

That claim has absolutely nothing to do with what I wrote, or with common sense in general. Honestly, I'd struggle to find a connection between that and horse racing.
Specifically, if you're talking about Islam, you have to stick to the official stance or clarify that it's just your opinion and not "Islamic," otherwise, legally speaking, it's considered slander.

No, honey. That would be blasphemy—which, in most parts of the civilized world, isn't even a crime anymore, regardless of how much certain Islamic countries have been leading the charge lately to make criminalizing blasphemy a global standard.

I could say, for instance, that Islam is a violent religion that responds to every critique with aggression. And I could back that up by pointing to the reactions of Muslims toward caricatures of Muhammad.
And you want to sue me for slander? I don't care what the Islamic community in Canada has to say about any specific case. Good luck with that.

Why am I backing him?

First: steelskipper5 didn't bring up that point just to take a shot at Islam; he was simply laying out how the U.S. Constitution works. His intention was to clarify that American police don't make arrests over blasphemy, which means the Islamic community couldn't exactly turn around and say, "Arrest steelskipper5 because of what he said." It’s the same reason we don't have rules against blasphemy here on this forum. I guess you seem to think that only your particular set of preconceived notions should be treated as the definitive word on Islam.

Secondly: (regarding why I support steelskipper5): It isn't true when you claim that Islam is separate from the behavior of Muslims. It really isn't. Islam isn't some software package or a picture hanging on a wall that we can judge detached from life. On the contrary, we measure it by what it stirs up in people. The spirit of Islam manifests precisely through the conduct of its followers, because it influences—just like any other religion—the morals and actions of its adherents. If it makes Muslims better people, then it is a good religion. If it turns them into savages or inspires them to act wildly, then there is clearly an issue with that faith, or perhaps with how those savages represent it, or maybe with a dormant clergy that refuses to condemn them because they are too afraid... much like how Cerić coddled the extremists during his tenure while aggressively meddling in the domestic politics of Canada (acting quite conspiratorially before the elections). He is the perfect example of how we have degraded ourselves as a community; the rot starts at the top. Bottom line: Islam is measured by the behavior of Muslims! Especially if such behavior isn't sharply and publicly condemned by the highest authorities.

Gandhi: "The quality of a religion is measured by how much better it makes people." Could it be any clearer? 🤷

Where I might supplement steelskipper5 is simply this: Islam is not what many violent individuals claim it to be when they speak in the name of this beautiful faith. Because just as there are those who would burn cartoonists alive, there are also those who laugh at such caricatures and simply move on with their day... and even if that same cartoonist were in trouble, they would step up to help! To me, those are the true Muslims, though to the other group—the arsonists—they are seen as nothing more than church rats or traitors. I’ll go even further: a true Muslim would defend anyone being attacked by a mob, even if it meant defending the very artists behind those caricatures. That is the true spirit of Islam living in the hearts of genuine believers.

As for the fact that the Islamic clergy remains silent about this savagery, or offers only half-hearted, reluctant condemnations of such brutality... or fails to denounce criminals like Osama bin Laden and others like him... it only proves that Islam is in a dire position. The clergy has frozen the faith in a dead letter from centuries ago. If Muslims want what is best for themselves and the world, they face a massive effort to wake up from this archaic slumber and catch up to the modern age. The train of time is moving and it waits for no one. Those who leave themselves frozen in the past will look to the world like a Neanderthal corpse found in an Arctic ice block from 15,000 years ago. By the way, instead of supporting steelskipper5 in his condemnation of these anti-caricature savages, you are attacking his character. Is that truly the spirit of your faith?

Finally...

Do you remember the story of the man who for months threw waste and filth into Muhammad's courtyard, right in front of his doorstep? One day, the man fell ill, and since nothing was thrown into the courtyard that day, Muhammad went to the neighbor's house. The man asked, "Why have you come?" And Muhammad replied, "I didn't find anything in my yard today, so I feared you might be unwell. I brought you some fresh dates to help you recover." The man wept.

You see? This is the true Islam and the true Sunnah of Muhammad. The solution isn't street violence or attacking cartoonists. It is understanding the other person. If you understand this Hadith, and if you consider yourself a Muslim, then apologize to steelskipper5 for attacking his character; you had no right to say such things to him. steelskipper5 is a man of great integrity and a truly good person. Think about this. Selam

hiddenbear3, greetings,
just ignore Pastor Jim; you don't owe him anything
(I flagged your post; I probably would have done the same regardless of who wrote it because principles are principles, but I'm hoping the ADMINs might look the other way this time).

If I may offer some advice... man, I truly mean this, and I hope you take it the right way:

Maybe take a few days off and come back to the forum later so we can chat again; it’s actually a nice place to hang out.
After a little break, you'll realize how much we all miss you, and I think your frustration will fade.

Even I lose my cool sometimes, but then I quickly remember: Nobody would run this forum better than Brenda Cook4 and Gregory Turner71.
If anyone else were in charge, this whole place would fall apart in a heartbeat, believe me.

You can't please everyone in this world, and there will always be people complaining. Moderators have to walk a fine line here (having been a mod myself, I know that struggle well).
Real life understands why things had to be written that way, just as moderators know when it's appropriate to issue a warning or not.

I consider you a big-hearted person, and I'm confident you'll get through this. Best regards, 🙂
