rustystag7 said:he proved he knew how to win with a Mercedes back in his younger days, and honestly, I still don't get how Kimi managed to stay ahead of him.🤷

Sure, he showed he could win... just not in F1. Everyone wins somewhere else, otherwise they wouldn't be in F1 to begin with. What a ridiculous argument. Sorry for the language, but I can't describe it any other way.

And you actually want to be the biggest idiot in such a cutthroat field?

At most, you can offer some congratulations, but credit really belongs to a handful of others and a lucky set of circumstances.

Besides, Nick Heidfeld doesn't belong there. They probably just keep him at BMW because he's German.

Nick Heidfeld is great... if you need someone to carry the water.😎

Hamilton and Rosberg both hit with 10-place grid penalties.

First off... Hamilton and Sutil are the only reasons you didn't get banned. 👎
You predicted Massa would be hunting down Kubica on lap one and cruising to a podium finish. I called it differently—I said Alonso wouldn't even make it back to the pits, let alone stand on that podium. So, who actually knows what they’re talking about when it comes to F1?

Just because he was slicing through the field in a superior car while other drivers buckled under the pressure doesn't mean he actually drove a masterclass. 🤣

I called it. I said Kubica was going to take this one. So, who’s actually right now? Anyone? 😛

Kubica just hits different when it's raining 😎

rustystag7 said:I really screwed up my assessment. This guy was the F3000 runner-up in '98 and took the title in '99. He was even pulling test driver duties for McLaren that same year, only to end up landing a seat at Prost Peugeot in 2000. 👎

That's just how things work when you're white. 😁

rustystag7 said:Cut the crap about winning in Formula 1. He never actually had a car capable of taking the checkered flag. 🤷

So, looking at this season, it’s pretty clear we’re seeing... 😁

good luck 😛

What did I tell you all? I’ve been saying this since 2006 😉
I first called it before he had even stepped foot in a race car 😉
Yeah, I was right. I'll take the win on that one 🙂

Hamilton and Kimi in the pack, and Kubica as champion 🙂

Kubicaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

rustystag7 said:Yeah, but you have to keep in mind that at every single race so far, Ferrari has had Kubica dive past them right at the start. 👍

BMW keeps promising they’ll fix that launch issue on the car, but let's be real—that part of the setup is absolute garbage. 😁
All that work in qualifying was a total waste. 😁

placidsurfer9 said:Robert Kubica is going to brake just enough so Kimi loses his momentum. Kimi won't have
enough juice to pull off a pass in the pits, even though he'll still be stuck on the track
trailing behind him for a few more laps!! 😁

Kubica will overtake Lewis Hamilton in the first lap. Not that it matters, since Hamilton is just going to end up hitting the championship wall anyway.
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
More and more fans of Kubica popping up everywhere... where were you all when he was actually tearing it up? 😎

Good thing I happened to turn this on. Wouldn't miss this for anything in the world.🤣

Kubica and Kimi.

Heikki and Lewis.

If Robert Kubica doesn't pull off a win this season, I’m going to be seriously pissed. 😁

Frank Collins85 said:After you turned his car into a one-man kayak last year? If he actually has the guts to push to the limit again, then yeah, he’s got what it takes to be a champion eventually.

His results improved after the crash, and the kid's definitely got the nerve. He's championship material, period.

BMW is bringing some special upgrades to this race, so it’s pretty realistic to expect Mercedes to take the win.

I don't know what I'd be doing betting on that hack 🤷

Edward Howard2 said:If we’re playing by your logic 🤣, I technically "called" Heidfeld finishing ninth, but I wouldn't call that a win when a bunch of underdogs just cut him off at the pass.
What exactly did you predict would happen to Alonso’s car? I didn't bet on it breaking down since that hasn't happened in ages. And if you didn't either, then... 🙂 what exactly did you "call"?😕

I said Alonso had a fuel advantage of about 3-4 laps compared to the rest of the field—including Kubica and Hamilton trailing him. My take was that after the first round of pit stops, he'd drop three spots lower in the standings than where he started.😛
But I still lost money on my bets this weekend because Heidfeld is absolutely useless.
