Anyone here feeling (semi) depressed living in California?🕺
Motion sickness while driving in Health ·
So, how do those motion sickness pills actually work?
Ever since I was a kid, I used to get nauseous on even the shortest trips. But then, for about 25 years, it just... disappeared. I could even read while riding in a car without any issues.
Then, after dealing with a bunch of stressful life stuff, the nausea came crawling back out of nowhere after two and a half decades!
I guess there’s definitely some psychological component at play here. Or maybe it’s just me. That’s why I’m curious about what these pills actually target, or what people generally consider to be the root cause of this kind of nausea.
I'm honestly not even sure where to post this kind of thing.
So, I’ve got my current doctor, and honestly, I’m really happy with them—I wouldn't dream of switching. But there's a chance I might be moving to a different city soon, basically changing my zip code. I guess I was just wondering... is it actually possible to keep seeing the same doctor if I move?
Binge eating while gaming/working in Psychology & Therapy ·
It’s almost like you don't even realize what the issue is.🤷 I mean, it looks like standard life dissatisfaction—maybe even depression—and the overeating is just a symptom of all that. You should probably try doing something other than working all the time. Find a hobby, meet some new people, something.

Oh, and you said you don't really want to deal with people.🤣 Well, I don't know, you can't just live your whole life glued to a computer and expect things to actually get better.🤷
That sounds like a shrink to me. I guess the only weird part is that the meds aren't even working for you. For me, the Xanax kicked in and things leveled out in about a week.
Would you ever help someone who abused you? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Don't even sweat her. Bullies and thugs usually end up getting exactly what's coming to them eventually.☕
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Elizabeth King84 said:Thanks. 🙂 So, I usually get my period right on the 30th. It’s the 32nd now and, well, nothing. Silence. I guess I'll just wait until the end of the day and see what happens... if it doesn't show up by tonight, I might just lose it. 🙂
P.S. I was reading somewhere that even lemon balm tea can help with that kind of thing... have you ever tried it?

So, did it actually work? I mean, I guess we'll find out.😁
I have to admit, that sounds pretty unbelievable to me. I guess I’m just having a hard time wrapping my head around it.
What does it actually mean to "find yourself"? in Psychology ·
It basically means refusing to be just another sheep in the flock.😁 Being self-aware, I guess. Knowing what you actually want out of life instead of just blindly following the crowd.
Exactly 3.🤣 But if this keeps up, it looks like they'll be way out of the normal range within a year.
What could be causing this? Could it really just be a vitamin B deficiency?🤷
What’s the move when your platelet count just keeps sliding? A year ago they were sitting pretty over 300, then six months back they hit 270, and my most recent check showed 240.🤷

So, this is basically how they handle abuse reports.
People flag stuff, and then these guys just shrug and claim the system is perfectly secure. Period.😂

It honestly feels like those of us dealing with mental health struggles are the only ones getting the short end of the stick, doesn't it? 🙂

Hey DireDown, let me guess—was your entire "diagnosis" process just five quick ten-minute check-ins where they barely looked up from their clipboards? 😁

Yeah, and let's be real—a doctor isn't going to sign off on a clean bill of health if you're dealing with something like schizophrenia.🤷
They can't just gloss over that. It's a serious condition. So, yeah, what's written in those files definitely matters.
Sexual tension — how do you handle it? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Maybe she's just offering to lend a hand.☕

Honestly, anyone who thinks this isn't obvious is just being naive. I mean, if someone actually cares enough to look...😁they'll definitely find the data.
Just look back at 2013—it shows you exactly where human rights stood then.🙄

Oh, right, 0.25
it works fine. I actually thought it was 25 mg.😁

Justin Rogers5 said:25 mg of Xanax.🤣

Wait, how does that work? You just swallow 25 pills at once?😕 Or maybe there's something even stronger out there?🤣
I was actually talking about PET/CT scans. I’ve heard people say that once they’re done with the scan, nobody even comes near them and they have to go out through some special exit.🤣

And honestly, I didn't even know about that thyroid cancer treatment. I assume the radiation levels are probably even higher there.
In both cases, though, I guess I'm just wondering how long you're actually radioactive.
Maria Fisher46 said:I guess you mean... I guess I'm just going to leave this here. Temu? I don't know. It feels like one of those things you see everywhere lately. You start scrolling, and suddenly there's an ad for some gadget that looks suspiciously cheap but kind of cool. I guess it’s just one of those internet rabbit holes. Maybe worth a look if you've got nothing better to do, but I'd probably just end up buying a bunch of stuff I don't actually need. Just my two cents, I suppose.

Just to be clear, we’re talking about using radioactive iodine to treat thyroid cancer here. It isn't your typical external beam radiation therapy. I guess there's a bit of a distinction there, maybe.

So, the whole point was supposed to be about helping people dealing with cancer, but looking at this link now, it says the "bulk of the radiation dissipates after a few days." I guess that means you could actually hang out near one of those machines without much trouble. Maybe.😲

Well, I guess this actually has me a little worried now.🤣
I’m pretty sure I saw someone mentioning some kind of screening process here, where patients get checked before they actually walk out the hospital doors, just to make sure they aren't still radioactive and bumping into everyone else.😕
I mean, maybe not all radiation is created equal, right?🤷
Contacts, glasses, or both? in Health ·
I’m basically walking around blind.🤣
My eyes just can't handle contacts, but I absolutely refuse to wear glasses. I guess when I finally run out of options, I'll just have to look into getting LASIK.😁
